You can make few adjustments to your headphones settings to suit your needs. Please ensure you've downloaded the Sony Headphones Connect app. It has an Equalizer/CLEAR BASS setting which can be customized to fine-tune your music to your liking. This will give you more control over your headphones and their performance.

Sounding great but the connection is terrible

The connection is failing every now and then. Sometimes the sound is awful. At least these problems don't occur while listening to music, so I think that's ok. If you talk a lot on the phone, this one is not for you. Otherwise, this is probably the best you can find with its price. I would rate it 3.5 if I could.

There is going to be consistent complaints about background noise. The noise cancelling is fairly good and the sound quality is not bad so if you are only going to be using these for listening then these are a good option if you want wireless.

These were horribly uncomfortable, had decent sound quality but terrible connection, and didn’t stay in my ears at all. I have had AirPods Pro and Powerbeats pro and both are light years better than these.

Stays in ear better than others

Thank you for taking the time to review the WF-1000XM3. While we are glad to hear that you like the sound quality, we regret that the noise cancelation did not meet your expectations. We'd love to troubleshoot the issue and make this a better experience for you. First, please make sure that the headphones have the latest software version as this will improve the overall performance of the device. Noise-canceling is ineffective if your earbud headphones don't fit your ears properly.
- Make sure that the noise canceling function is turned on.
- Change to the earbud that allows you to hear the least ambient sounds for both the left and right unit.
- Adjust the headset position to fit your ears.
- The noise canceling function is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices.
