To ensure you get the best Bluetooth connection, please set the headphones Bluetooth Connection Mode to “Priority on stable connection”. Always store the unit in the charging case after use. Otherwise, it will be mistakenly recognized as being in use and will not transfer to the power saving mode. The rate of battery consumption may vary between the left and right earbuds depending on the settings of various functions, and the conditions of use. This is not a malfunction. The difference in the rate of battery consumption between the left and right side becomes noticeable when a touch sensor function is set, such as the Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa voice assistant features, in the Sony | Headphones Connect app.

We value your input and appreciate the feedback. The WF-1000XM3 comes with different sizes of earbuds to ensure there is a great fit for all ear sizes and an optimal noise canceling experience. As a suggestion, to reduce discomfort while wearing the headphones, try to use the right size according to the size of your ears. When wearing them, please gently pull on the top of your ear as you twist the earbud into your ear. This should give you a firmer hold and better noise canceling experience. Hi Darious, We regret to hear that you are having a Bluetooth connection issue with your wireless headphones. You may experience an audio dropout if there is an obstacle between the headset and the Bluetooth device such as metal. You have the ability to set the priority of these headphones to either sound quality or stable connection. Stable connection can improve the usable distance of the WF-1000XM3s. If you are listening to music with your smartphone, the situation may be improved by shutting down unnecessary apps or restarting your smartphone. Despite this issue, we are happy that you like the sound quality of your WF1000XM3.

We've released a firmware update to improve phone call quality for the WF-1000XM3 headphones. The software update improves the general performance of the unit and includes key features, applications, and bug fixes. When talking on the phone, we recommend to adjust the volume on the connected device. If you are unable to adjust the volume on the connected device, install the “Sony | Music Center” smartphone app and adjust the volume in the app.

The WF-1000XM3 has a new Bluetooth chip and an optimized antenna design to provide a stable connection for hours of wireless streaming. To ensure you get the best Bluetooth connection, we also recommend to set the headphones Bluetooth Connection Mode to “Priority on stable connection”.

We regret to know that the unit had to be returned. We hope that you will shop Sony again in the future.
