My son's Ipods are much louder so for the money would go with Ipods. 2nd the noise cancelation was nice and worked ok. 3rd after only having these things for 3 weeks and using them maybe a half dozen times the right earbud speaker blew. Now these eaebuds are not even that loud and for a speaker to blow was crazy. For the amout of $ these things go are I was thinking thy would be a little better. All in all I took them back n got the beats.

The software update improves the performance of your unit. We can reset your headphones to isolate the issue. Place the headset in the charging case, leave the lid of the charging case open, then hold your finger to the touch sensor on the left unit for about 20 seconds. Release your finger when the indicator (red) of the headset turns off after flashing. Then hold your finger to the touch sensor on the right unit for about 20 seconds. Release your finger when the indicator (red) of the headset turns off after flashing. When there is a problem with the headset, the indicator (red) of the headset remains off and does not start flashing even if you perform the procedures described above. In this case, hold your finger to the touch sensor longer (for about 30 seconds), and release your finger when the indicator (red) of the headset turns on.

If you like to listen to music or podcasts but have hair then again, not for you since even with my hair up, somehow the tiniest piece pauses whatever i am listening to. Sure they fit in my ear and stay inadequately but are definitely not nearly as secure as promised since they have randomly fallen out several times even after trying all sizes. They do give you a wide variety of sizes which I wish made up for all the other technical failures of this product.

Posted .Hi Jupe. we are sorry to hear that the WF-1000XM3 did not meet all of your expectations, The WF-1000XM3 comes with different sizes of earbuds to ensure there is a great fit for all ear sizes and an optimal noise canceling experience. Please use the right size according to the size of your ears. When wearing them, please gently pull on the top of your ear as you twist the earbud into your ear. This should give you a firmer hold and better noise canceling experience. If the earbud tips tend to come off or you feel that there is insufficient low frequency sound and a difference in volume between the left and right units, change the earbud tips to another size to comfortably and snugly fit your left and right ears. Feel free to test them again once done with our suggestions.

It really doesn’t help that they’re over $200. None of the earbuds fit in my ear, oh well. But the sound quality isn’t that great for its price tag, and the sound is constantly dropping. I can listen to music for a max of 15 mins before the audio completely cuts out, my phone is saying it’s still playing music, but the earbuds aren’t playing anything. Extremely disappointed in these earbuds, and even more disappointed that I missed out on my return time, because I would never use these earbuds if I knew how terrible they were for $200.

If the noise-canceling function or ambient sound mode is turned on, the ambient environment may increase the wind noise. In this case, change the settings to Wind Noise Reduction in the Ambient Sound Control settings on the Sony Headphones Connect app.
Note: If the wind noise is still loud, turn off the noise-canceling function and ambient sound mode.

Not Worth the Headache

I've had multiple issues since. I used them for my commute to work and the gym. They lose connection frequently, which is super annoying when you don't have the case on hand to reconnect them. Currently the right headphone does not play audio, went through Sony tech support only to be told they cannot help me because my product is out of warranty. This product is not worth the headache.

They feel decent in the east and sound good but the noise cancellation was no where near the over ear sets. They do help with light rumbling but I wanted it to block voices and they failed miserably there.

A step up in ear buds with noise cancelling
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.These are a huge leap forward from Apple Airpods, they offer really great sound, while offering Noise Cancelling that works great, and an app that allows you to unlock even more. I was really impressed with the number of sizes available for your ear, it comes pre-packed with 6 pairs of buds that make it easy to find a size that fits your ear properly. The Auto Off feature when removing from you ear, means that the headset won't drain if you're only wearing one on your ear. The including charging case, uses USB C to plug into an available USB for charging. When it's fully charged, it will re-charge your headset 3 times, fully. The touch sensitive buttons on the headset make it easy to answer a call, cycle through music tracks, enable Siri or Google Assistant, and the neat feature of "Ambient" sound means you don't need to take them off to hear what's going on. Pairing was super easy. Using iOS, just pull up the Bluetooth settings menu and see them ready to pair. There isn't any messy pin code you need to verify either, allowing it to pair in just a couple of seconds. You control the volume using your phone or device, so don't look for a volume button on these. You can cycle through various ambient, and noise cancelling on/off. The ambient setting allows use of the microphones to allow background noise into your ear, meaning you don't need to take the headphones off to hear what someone is saying. Just hold your hand or finger on to the touch pad on one of the left ear bud, and the ambient setting will turn on until you let go. It will even lower the sound of whatever you're playing to allow you to listen. Where this really shines is noise cancelling. I actually own the Sony 1000 XM2 Over the Ear headphones, and they've been my go to noise cancelling solution for trips, work calls, and anytime I want to listen to something without background noise. However, these will easily become my go to for calls, music, and any time I don't want to carry a bulky pair of headphones. Calls were clear, and none of the people I called complained about audio issues; however, in louder settings you may need to speak up. The headphones connect app allows you to use localization to help boost the effectiveness of the sound you're hearing while walking near busy streets, while also allowing you to change the EQ settings. The app is not necessary to use them, but add just more options to tweak the sound you're hearing. I found that these headphones didn't suffer from the constant drop offs seen with other Headphone Connect app compatibility. The included charging case has about three charges for you ear buds, allowing you to carry these around all day, without fear that your battery will completely die. A 10 minute charge in the case generally allowed me to listen for about 1.5 to 2 hours before requiring another charge. Making it easy to put these in between calls or music listening. I never once found them sliding out of my ear, I took them on a jog, walked around the office with them on, and never once felt "ear fatigue." I recommend trying on the different size buds available in the box, to find the right fit. Once you do, these are pretty comfortable for your use, with minimal risk of them falling out. The ones that came pre-packaged actually worked pretty well for me. The sound quality is actually pretty great. Offering clear bass, mids/highs, and a generally favorable audio profile when compared to others. These actually sound pretty close, if not better, than my other Sony Headphones (1000 XM2's). The included battery charging case has a red LED light that shines when charging, and the ear buds go into the case the way you're wearing them, left on left, right on right. You also can't really mess up putting them in there, as they fit exactly as they should. They case is a bit bigger than the airpod charging case, but did fit in my front pocket. The case is designed to sit on its back, but you can stand top down, while it's charging. Overall, I'm really really impressed with these headphones. The quick pairing, great sound, and even more responsive noise cancelling (which is pretty great for a wireless pair of ear buds), make this an EASY recommendation. These are now my daily wear headphones for EVERYTHING.
