These are a huge leap forward from Apple Airpods, they offer really great sound, while offering Noise Cancelling that works great, and an app that allows you to unlock even more. I was really impressed with the number of sizes available for your ear, it comes pre-packed with 6 pairs of buds that make it easy to find a size that fits your ear properly. The Auto Off feature when removing from you ear, means that the headset won't drain if you're only wearing one on your ear. The including charging case, uses USB C to plug into an available USB for charging. When it's fully charged, it will re-charge your headset 3 times, fully. The touch sensitive buttons on the headset make it easy to answer a call, cycle through music tracks, enable Siri or Google Assistant, and the neat feature of "Ambient" sound means you don't need to take them off to hear what's going on. Pairing was super easy. Using iOS, just pull up the Bluetooth settings menu and see them ready to pair. There isn't any messy pin code you need to verify either, allowing it to pair in just a couple of seconds. You control the volume using your phone or device, so don't look for a volume button on these. You can cycle through various ambient, and noise cancelling on/off. The ambient setting allows use of the microphones to allow background noise into your ear, meaning you don't need to take the headphones off to hear what someone is saying. Just hold your hand or finger on to the touch pad on one of the left ear bud, and the ambient setting will turn on until you let go. It will even lower the sound of whatever you're playing to allow you to listen. Where this really shines is noise cancelling. I actually own the Sony 1000 XM2 Over the Ear headphones, and they've been my go to noise cancelling solution for trips, work calls, and anytime I want to listen to something without background noise. However, these will easily become my go to for calls, music, and any time I don't want to carry a bulky pair of headphones. Calls were clear, and none of the people I called complained about audio issues; however, in louder settings you may need to speak up. The headphones connect app allows you to use localization to help boost the effectiveness of the sound you're hearing while walking near busy streets, while also allowing you to change the EQ settings. The app is not necessary to use them, but add just more options to tweak the sound you're hearing. I found that these headphones didn't suffer from the constant drop offs seen with other Headphone Connect app compatibility. The included charging case has about three charges for you ear buds, allowing you to carry these around all day, without fear that your battery will completely die. A 10 minute charge in the case generally allowed me to listen for about 1.5 to 2 hours before requiring another charge. Making it easy to put these in between calls or music listening. I never once found them sliding out of my ear, I took them on a jog, walked around the office with them on, and never once felt "ear fatigue." I recommend trying on the different size buds available in the box, to find the right fit. Once you do, these are pretty comfortable for your use, with minimal risk of them falling out. The ones that came pre-packaged actually worked pretty well for me. The sound quality is actually pretty great. Offering clear bass, mids/highs, and a generally favorable audio profile when compared to others. These actually sound pretty close, if not better, than my other Sony Headphones (1000 XM2's). The included battery charging case has a red LED light that shines when charging, and the ear buds go into the case the way you're wearing them, left on left, right on right. You also can't really mess up putting them in there, as they fit exactly as they should. They case is a bit bigger than the airpod charging case, but did fit in my front pocket. The case is designed to sit on its back, but you can stand top down, while it's charging. Overall, I'm really really impressed with these headphones. The quick pairing, great sound, and even more responsive noise cancelling (which is pretty great for a wireless pair of ear buds), make this an EASY recommendation. These are now my daily wear headphones for EVERYTHING.

Sound fantastic when connected to 360 music platform. Big and heavy in ears so not comfortable after 20-30 min or more. Don’t use it after purchase and using twice.

I've tried four different brands and these are the best. Nothing will get rid of 70+ dB noise though. Easy to use. Multiple configurations for the left and right ear touch pads. Best for the price.

This is a great gift for someone who pointed at them in the store and said he wanted it for Christmas. He wears them a lot. They are working great.

I purchased the earbuds about years earbud is not working. I workout every day and the selling part was it is waterproof sweat proof.

Excellent earbuds. They are difficult to connect to a MAC but this might be a MAC issue. Mic works well for remote meetings.

They are nice in size and weight, but annoying to try and figure out how to answer and hang up a call, press 1 time for this 2 times for that smh, unnecessary stress. I won't do that again. Bose is worth the money 100% better

Headphones not secure in my ear, fall out frequently. Tried all of the different ear pieces provided. Also experience frequent sound issues when connected to a computer.

These Sony wireless noise canceling earbuds are some of the most comfortable earbuds I have ever used. From the box after a full charge I was able to get 6 straight hours of use before the right earbud died on me. The case is great being able to charge the earbuds without needing to be plugged into the wall. The case is small and can fit into your pocket or purse taking up very little room. Pairing to my iPhone X was quick and without any issues. I pulled the earbuds out of the charging case, put them into my ears, turned on the phone’s Bluetooth and paired right away. These little powerhouse earbuds sound fantastic! I love being able to tweak the audio to my preferred sound settings with the Sony Headphone Connect app. Using the app to change the earbud button function is a plus. The noise canceling is beyond what I was expecting. I didn’t think earbuds could come close to over the ear headphones in that area, but surprise they are amazing! The adaptive ambient sound being on being on during workouts is a plus! I can hear the music without compromising safety. The earbuds stayed in place during my workout and felt quite comfortable. I was nervous one would fall out, but never happened. The call quality was better than using just my phone. I could hear the other person very clearly and they let me know they could hear me much better than when just using the phones built in microphone. Overall I was very surprised at how much I enjoy the quality of these Sony Noise Canceling earbuds. They are comfortable and built really well!

Great if you know how to actually work them. I couldn’t figure out how to generate call not how to answer a call. Could be operator error. As far as noise cancelling I expected to hear no noise. Not what I expected for the price.

These Earbuds are built great. That's about it. The soundstage is not wide enought. Not fright enough. The volume also seems capped off. I'm returning these as these are not worth the price.

Now that these have been out more I would definitely recommend these as a best bang for your buck, immersive 360 audio is amazing and I can’t wait for the xm4!!

Not as good as the over-ear models, mine specifically have a crackling issue that seems to be semi-common. Not sure if they were worth the price. But they do the job for Skype/video/voice chatting.

The quality of music was absolutely fantastic but for calls I was not pleased at all. I couldn’t hear what was said clearly. I did enjoy the music but I made just as many or received just as many calls as I listened to music.

I bought these for when I worked out but they really didnt go loud enough for me. The app to download will offer you a quality sound, but they don't go loud enough in my opinion.

Music quality was good, phone quality terrible, people said it sounded like a tunnel plus they kept falling out of my ears. Had to return

These are great earbuds, I thought I regret spending the amount but they’re too great. One of my favorite features is the ambient mode.

Bad interface through the app. Very glitchy, keeps losing connection to the right ear. Heavy, easily falls out of the ear. I ended up replacing them with the AirPod pro

According to reviews I should be able to use either earbud by itself while the other one charges. With mine I can't. 1. I can use the left one while the right one charges. 2. If I try and use the right one while the left one is in the charger it will not connect. 3. If I'm using both buds, and I put the left one in the case, the right one immediately disconnects. 4. If I take the right one out of the case by itself, it powers on and gives battery status, but will not connect. Have followed reset and initialization procedure from the sony product troubleshooting page, with no change in behavior. Without this issue I would give them a 5 star rating.
