These are said to have superior quality than the beats but I have not found this to be the case. The beats are a better buy. The ear buds are good quality but for the $$$ be very selective.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Probably my favorite pair of headphones and absolutely my favorite pair of earbuds. Full stop. Sony brought a lot over from their over-ear 1000XM3s to these, and that is only a good thing. To start, I love the design. It’s simple, clean and sleek. The black base with copper accents has a nice classy, yet modern look. The shape is typical of many earbuds out today (save Apple) and Sony provides a bunch of tips to help with fit. As always, some may have issues, and I typically do, but I found these fit me great. Sony went with Bluetooth 5.0, so pairing is easy, quick and solid. That said, and perhaps this can be updated(?), I was limited to being paired to one device at a time. A bit of a letdown. Once you are connected, they sound great. I would say they sound pretty neutral out of the box, but the bass is clean and punchy, and they handle the mids and highs very well. All in all, a very good-sounding pair of phones. A great-sounding pair of buds. Of course, part of that IS the noise cancellation that Sony brought here. Usually, you get a bit of that “isolation” just from using buds in the first place, but when you are using the ANC it is a different experience. I have never used earbuds that had it before, and simply put, I think whatever you are listening to just sounds better. I also really like that it can be on, off, or customized. Options, a good thing. So, with this form factor, controls are important. As with most buds, a series of taps and swipes controls most of the functions, and I think Sony mostly nailed this as well. There are little circles in the middle of each bud for touch control. The right mainly handles music controls as well as assistant integration while the left noise cancellation. It has a genius feature that Sony calls Quick Attention mode that I really like. You can basically long press the left bud to pause your audio and activate ambient audio for as long as you hold it. I don’t know if all headphones have this, but they should. Despite how much I love all of this, I simply can’t find a way to control volume via touch. Either I am missing it, or it is not there. If not, that is a miss. Again, hopefully it can be an add in the future. Lastly, they do also feature auto pause when you remove a bud and auto resume when you return it. Battery life is very solid. It will depend on how you use them, but I have gotten close to their advertised life so far, and the case holds another 3 full charges. The case is a bit bigger than most out there, but it is by no means “large,” and it carries over the same design cues as the buds themselves. I think it looks good, and is very functional, but my favorite part is that it uses USB Type-C. You can get a fast charge and given nearly everything I use is USB C, finding somewhere to plug it in is a breeze. Lastly, I must recommend the Sony Headphones Connect App. I know some of these apps can be a bit of a roll of the dice, but this app is done well and offers quite a bit. You gain a ton of control over the noise cancellation, ambient noise levels as well as general EQ settings. There are quite a few settings to get into. You can really dial these buds in, and I think it is worth the effort. Ultimately, I love these. There are a few things I would change, including some type of IPX waterproof rating. Given this summer, that may be my biggest gripe, but Sony just did so much right with these buds. They sound excellent, look great, have active noise cancelling and are in the best-in-class battery life discussion. Controls are intuitive and the app just works. All of that, in this form factor means I will be wearing these for some time.

Oh course I don't have insurance so no taking back and it exceeded the 15 day grace period.

- Try playing another source on the device. For example, try another music app to see if the issue is with a particular app.
- When you listen to music from a computer on the headset, sound quality may be poor for the first few seconds after a connection is made. This is caused by the computer transmitting music at sound quality for communications at first, and it is not a malfunction.

The sounds sucks , they are not loud at all , when I get I coming phone calls the person on the other end can never hear me fully, they cut in and out constantly , they are not very comfortable , I will never buy another set of earbuds from Sony ever again after I wasted money on this pieces of junk! Don’t waste your money on these! There are better option I’m sure of it!! And probably for less money.

It does not. What does this mean? If you have perfect ears that exude no wax, never deform nor sweat, they will stay in your ears. Otherwise you will be constantly having to readjust, pick them off the floor and reinsert, because other than the nebulous "friction" they do not have any actual securing mechanism. Probably going to Samsung Galaxy Buds+, they at least have both the lock-ridges the WF1000 lacks and the app support the WFXB700 lacks.

Not worth the money

Right off the bat I noticed even with changing bud sizes they never really stayed snug in my ears, but I could deal with that, as I used them laying in bed. but back to the add protecting, they stopped holding a full charge within an extremely short period of time but after the return period. Best Buy rocks and let me under the protection plan i purchased swap them out and pay a little difference for the AirPods Pro. I ABSOLUTELY love my AirPods Pro's and would reccomend those in this price range,
