Hi Trueboss1, while we're glad that you like the sound quality, we regret tat the headphones fall out. This is definitely not the experience we'd like you to have. Our WF1000XM3 comes in various sizes of earbuds. To keep the headphones from falling out, please select the earbuds that best fit and wear them correctly for a comfortable listening experience. You may also refer to the link below if your ears hurt when putting on and wearing headphones.

Thanks for sharing your experience so far with your WF-1000XM3 headphones. We understand that not everyone likes the Sony headphones connect app and we appreciate your feedback. You can use them without downloading the Sony headphones connect app, however, to get the most out of your WF-1000XM3, downloading the Sony | Headphones Connect App allows you to customize the following:
- Change the function of the touch sensor
- Display the remaining battery life of the charging case (The remaining battery life when the headset was removed from the charging case is displayed.)
- Adjust the noise canceling function and Ambient Sound Mode (ambient sound control)
- Select the Equalizer setting
- Customize the Equalizer setting
- Voice guidance on/off setting
- Play music/pause, skip to the beginning of the previous track (or the current track during playback)/skip to the beginning of the next track
- Set the DSEE HX (completion for high-range sound) function

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiencing using the WF-1000XM3 Wireless Noise-Canceling Headphones. We're sorry to hear that you're having issues with the noise cancelling function when using on phone calls. We appreciate your feedback as it helps improve the product. The noise-cancelling function is effective in low-frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices. Although noise is reduced, it is not completely cancelled.

- To get the sound that you prefer, please try the different sound modes found in the Sony Headphones Connect app. There is even an EQ in there—which can be customized to fine-tune your music to your liking.
- Try playing another source on the device. For example, try another music app to see if the issue is with a particular app.
- When you listen to music from a computer on the headset, sound quality may be poor for the first few seconds after a connection is made. This is caused by the computer transmitting music at sound quality for communications at first, and it is not a malfunction.

Also, for optimum performance, please make sure that your headphones are running on the latest firmware version. The software includes key features, applications, bug fixes, and feature improvements. The WF-1000XM3 comes with different sizes of earbuds to ensure there is a great fit for all ear sizes and an optimal noise canceling experience. Please use the right size according to the size of your ears. When wearing them, please gently pull on the top of your ear as you twist the earbud into your ear. This should give you a firmer hold and better noise canceling experience. Feel free to test them again once done with our suggestions.
