Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the excellent sound quality and great battery life of the WF-1000XM3 True Wireless Noise Cancelling In-Ear Headphones. Many also appreciate the comfortable fit and effective Active Noise Cancellation. However, some customers have concerns about the fit, connection stability, and water resistance, and a few would prefer a higher maximum volume.

I would not give a 1 star had there been an option for "0 stars". Not a reliable brand at all. I had a different model of Sony headphones , and it broke by the hinge. Reached out to both US and Japan headquarters about the issue. Received a reply email stating that the Sony engineers agree that there is a defect with the product, but they cannot exchange it because it was out of warranty. If a product has a defect, and company admits it, then why does not matter what the purchase date it. Anyway I highly recommend to stay away from sony headphones in general.

    Surprisingly poor sound

I'm a huge Sony fan headphone, own the WH1000xM2 and think they're fantastic. I've also owned and the loved the top-of-the-line MDR-Z1R. So I was shocked by the pretty horrible sound quality of these. Anemic, weak, distant sound with little bass. They sounded like $20 earbuds. I tried everything I could to rectify this, but to no avail. The customer service manager at Best Buy said they'd been getting a lot of returns on these. What's up, Sony? I'm really surprised and disappointed.

      Hi, StevieRay25!

Thank you for always choosing Sony. It is unfortunate that the sound quality of the WF-1000XM3 did not meet your expectations. We can try adjusting some settings using the Headphone Connect app to improve the sound quality to your liking.

    What's All The Hype?

    Posted .

First of all, there's no volume control. My cellphone is at full volume and it is not enough to satisfy my listening pleasure. Bass is not adequate even when adjusted to the max. Sound separation is minimal. Honestly, my 30 dollars Soundpeats earphone that I bought from Amazon 3 months ago is more satisfying. I also bought the Powerbeats Pro a day before this for comparison and this is not even a close. Would I even try comparing this to my 300 dollar Sennheiser Momentum? Forget about it!

    Sadly lasted a day

I was really hoping the WF-1000xm3 lived up to they hype and online reviews. Sadly, the do not. They lasted a day. They set up easily but then the left stopped switching from noise canceling to ambient to automatic. They're a work in progress. Sony should not have released this product until it was perfected. I contacted Sony and they were very accommodating. They're going back.

    Power Drain a Problem

    Posted .

Inconsistent battery drain during (off mode or standby...who knows) observed after several weeks of ownership. If you turn off the bud with the Sony mobile app and set them down on a table for several days, one bud will report high battery level while the other will report 20% upon their next usage. Within minutes of usage, the low boy will power down following a voice prompt. This needs fixing.

    Bad quality. Random disconnect issues.

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Only lasted just over a year of very light use. Now they disconnect/reconnect all the time at random. Customer support says I'm out of warranty and need to send them in for repair. These were over 200 when I bought them. While they worked they were great. Cost too much to only last 18 months though.

    No bueno

No volume control, painful in ears even with the smallest buds, sound quality is better with my Airpods. Couldn't tell the difference between noise canceling setting and regular. Wish they could have worked out, but unfortunately it's back to the over the ear headphones for my frequent business travel.
