Great Job, but
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are stylish and convenient. Always connected to my iPhone Xs. The case was remarkably solid and sturdy in the hand. The buds themselves felt good and substantial. The battery life of the case and buds were exceptional. The ability to tap (versus press an actual button) was convenient, and at the same time irritating, because I have larger fingers, and kept accidentally changing the song, etc. Personally, I went through every silicone tip that came with these buds, and could not find anything that worked well enough. There are quite a few silicone tips included. My biggest Cons were the lack of volume control on the buds themselves and the sensitivity of the taps.

Excellent Quality and Superior Sound!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I usually purchase the most inexpensive earphones I can find. This time around I was looking for something with better quality, and I know that Sony is pretty reliable. Plus, a coworker has the over the ear version of these, and swears by them. So I said let me give them a shot. I tried them at home first and the sound was great. The app was something to get used to, but it's not a deal breaker. Finally I got the base I wanted. The next day a friend called, and I used this opportunity to test the call quality. The sound was good, and my friend said that she could hear my perfectly. This was a three hour conversation, that also included me taking a walk to the store, and her being able to clearly hear the conversation I had with someone on the street, and clearly hear the self checkout calling out the price of the items I scanned at the store. My final test is my train ride to work, and my walk to work in NYC. The adaptive sound and noise canceling worked perfectly. I put them on before getting out of the car, and the adaptive sound feature switched to walking. Once on the train, and it started moving, it switched to transit. Awesome! While still on the train, and while it was moving, I got up early to walk to the door, and it switched to walking, and then back to transit once I stopped walking. So these things are very aware of what you're doing. The sound on the train was great though. With my old headphones, I can still hear all the ambient noise. Especially when I'm in the vestibule. When in there I can't hear anything. But with these, it's loud in the tunnel so you're still going to get some ambient noise, but the music that was playing was still loud and crystal clear. So far the signal hasn't dropped. That is a huge problem I have with a few of my headphones. Especially walking through NYC. I'll update this if that changes, but so far so good, and I'm glad that I picked these up.

Sony vs Sennheiser (Noise Canceling GREAT!)
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have both the Sony WF-1000XM3 and the Sennheiser Momentum I love both, they both have very different use/specialties The Sennheiser is great , just sitting at home, laying back, and enjoying high fidelity music and sound. You can really appreciate deep rich bass, appreciate the sound stage/spatialization, and the clear bright upper tones. The noise isolation is fantastic, it's enough in most situation. The Sony really shines with the noise cancelling. I ALMOST returned mines, but after reading several reddits and forum, I realized I was not putting these guys on correctly. It is VERY important to have the right ear bud size. And when putting them in, you have to start the piece in a vertical position, insert the ear buds in a snug fit, rotate to a horizontal position, then slightly adjust by either pushing deeper or pulling outwards. You SHOULD FEEL AN AIRTIGHT snug. If you do not, you will not appreciate the noise cancelling. After correctly inserting the headphones, the app really shines by giving you multiple options (short of the volume control everyone complains about, but keep in mind this can be easily added by software in the future). The sound is also very rich, very comparable to the momentum. If I had to judge simply by sound 1-10, the momentum is probably the best in market, 9.9. The Sony would be an easy 9.8 to 9.9. The cost of the Sony is cheaper, and it has noise cancelling, easily puts this as a 5 star. Few things to mention: Yes, there's no ipx rating, I wouldn't wear these to work out anyway. When I'm really working out, I'm there to work out. I don't need high fidelity music during that time. The $17 work out headphones from amazon does a good enough job as it is, or simple Airpods with silicone accessories to keep it in place. The volume control is simply the software registering a finger touch, that can easily be updated when there's an update to the app, don't let that turn you away. The sound quality is very close to the Momentums. Given the price, this is a steal.

Superior sound at a good price!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second move to truly wireless ear buds. Did so much research after my 1st experience with a pair of Airpod 2's...that was a disaster! Hated the Airpod 2's right out of the box...could not get them to 'fit'...the Airpods 'sit' on the ear rather than 'in' the ear...I got them (Airpods) at a greatly reduced rate through my work ($58) and thought "I'm set"...after that disappointment I waffled between the Sonys and the Samsung true wireless earbuds and MANY Beats offerings...let me tell you that I could NOT be happier with this purchase! The sound was always touted as 'better' than the ones that I was looking at...and it delivered! The noise canceling I thought would barely be noticed IF at all and it was absolutely mind-blowing as to how much sound that it can regulate...and when you have it off you can have a conversation or at least hear what someone is saying without taking them out..was very impressed at the noise canceling...this was my 1st foray into noise canceling... The only thing that I was leery of was that in other reviews people were saying that "these were not for workouts and will fall out of your ear"....and I don't need them as much for that but it scared me to think that they would fall out for walking or hiking or mountain biking that I do from time to time...I bought them anyways on sale for $203 and I could not believe how well they fit! I mean I can jump around and run and they. don't. move. I mean it...I mean they come with 6 sets of tips to ensure fit....Silicone and Foam...I went with the largest Foam tip as I am large (6'3 over 200lbs) They are quality Foam tips...and I use to buy Comply foam tips for other earbuds at $20 a pop and the Sony Foam are FAR superior to the Comply aftermarket ones...comfy and grippy they do an astounding job! I absolutely love these wireless buds!

I love these things!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let’s get the cons out of the way first (there aren’t many): NO protection against moisture?!? NONE?!? That just seems like a strange choice on Sony’s part. Don’t expect to take these to the gym unfortunately... Doesn’t fit peeeerfectly in the ear (no bud really does unless you have ones custom made), but that’s easy for me to overlook since they sound excellent and cancel enough noise to listen in almost any environment. Ok, here are the pros: Sleek design, beautiful sound, plenty of different size buds for different peoples ears, the app is super useful and the equalizer is great for getting the exact sound you want! Highly recommended!

WOW! Superb Sound!!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent sound quality. The noise-canceling feature has exceeded my expectations. I would have given this a 4.8 out of 5, but no way to rate it that way. The reason for the 4.8 is trying to figure out how to keep them in my ears. I highly recommend these in-ear headphones, however, make sure you go through all of the ear tips to find the right fit for your ears. The better the fit the better the sound quality. I chose these over the Apple Earbuds.

Sony WF-1000XM3
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got some other brand of wireless ear buds for about half the price some years ago. Although they did work ok, they were not very solid. They would loose connection, or either the right or left side would go out. The Sony WF-1000XM3, so far has not done any of that. Plus the noise cancelling works great. The sound is far better and there are alot more options. By far the Sony WF-1000XM3 is a huge step up, although I did pay more, it is worth the the extra money!!

Excellent sound in a small package!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have the the headphones in this model, which is excellent, but wanted the convenience and comfort of the in-ear set when I'm sitting outside or hanging around the house. They block the ambient noise and have wonderful sound. When we can travel again, they'll take up much less space in my carry-on. Multiple earpieces come with it to find one that fits best to make them comfortable. Purchased as a deal of the day, so good value for the quality.

But pricey but worth getting.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound quality is much much better than my old Jaybirds. Has the added benefit of being truly wireless so you don't have to worry about wires getting in your way. I don't use many of the voice or touch controls but I do use ANC quite a bit and must say it works really well. I can be out in public and once I put these earbuds on, all outside noise gets drowned out except for the voices of people close by. Really neat feature.

Excellent audio quality marred by mediocre ANR
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones sound excellent (provided you've identified the right ear tips for you)...but I just can't recommend them. First of all, I found them to be fatiguing after approximately 30 minutes of use (from both an audio and comfort perspective). And the Active Noise Cancellation (ANR) is just not as good as it should be given all of Sony's other excellent headphones. I did a direct comparison between these and the AirPod Pro, and - from an ANR perspective - there was no comparison. The AirPod Pro has better noise cancellation (though the audio quality isn't as good as the Sony). For the price, I just couldn't justify the expense. I returned them.

I had issues with the call quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was an amazing headset. The sound and the app were on point. However I had issues with the call quality. When I would make calls on my Galaxy note 10 plus I would get a lot of static on my end. The person I was speaking to you hear me clearly without any issues but when they talked there was nothing but static. I took the headphones back and picked up another set but the same thing happened again after the second time I made a call. So I had to return them and get something else. Other than that this was a great purchase. I had to give it a four out of five due to the fact the sound was amazing and you can change it to however you wanted it to sound.

Great value!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, I’m impressed with these ear buds. They fit well once you select the proper tips for your ears. The noise canceling seems to work well. It mutes vacuum cleaner noise very well. The real test will be when I get out to use the lawn mower! The controls are easy to use; each unit performs a different task. The left one controls the noise canceling functions while the right controls music playback and voice assistance (Siri or Hey Google). The only reason for not giving 5 stars is you can’t control volume from the ear buds, you have to do that from your phone (or Apple Watch, if you have one).
