They are very comfortable to wear, i workout, run and work in these during the day and they do not fall out. The charging case is a little large but it still fits in my pocket. The app that you can use with these is a little convoluted but I usually never use it.

The sound just blows away the others. HOWEVER, there is one very FRUSTRATING flaw, and that is there is no way to tell how much charge is left in the charging case... like absolutely no idea how much is left. I hope there can be some sort of update for this. Major miss with this. Also, the charge levels for the buds go only in increments 100% to 70% to 50% etc. not a fan of this.

Thanks for the feedback. When you remove the headset from the charging case and put on the headset, voice guidance indicating the remaining battery charge of the headset can be heard from the left and right units of the headset respectively.
Also, you can check the remaining battery using the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app. Android smartphones and the iPhone/iPod touch both support this app.

Awesome noise canceling, fantastic definition and amazing battery life. These out my 2nd generation AirPods to shame. The application is the icing on the cake. Offers many features and customization. Pretty hard to beat. Downside is the case is almost twice as big as my AirPods case.

Apparently these operate in 2 different Bluetooth modes. A normal Bluetooth mode and and a LE or Low Energy Bluetooth mode. You can see which mode you are operating in if you can see your Bluetooth connection listed. I get few to no dropouts when these are connected in the normal Bluetooth mode, but frequent and annoying dropout when they connect via the LE Bluetooth connection. The worst part is that you can't do anything to prevent the connection via LE mode. All these issues occur whether you are setting the connection priority for Quality or Stable connection, I can't tell any difference in the reduction of dropout. I've never had so many dropouts from any other headphones/earphones The noise canceling is very good, but I think it is mostly due to the ear canal seal and noise isolating. Yes there is a noticeable difference between on and off. Battery life is ok, it does drain very quickly if you turn on all the bells and whistles. Loud volume, DSEE HX on, Equalizer on, Quality connection, noise canceling on. With all that on, maybe 2-3 hours of playtime before needing to recharge in the case. Since I got a good price for these, overall I am satisfied with the purchase.

Make sure to update the software version of the headphones (via the Sony Headphones Connect app) for optimum performance. The software includes key features, applications, bug fixes, and feature improvements. The communication between the devices will be poor if there is an obstruction between the unit and the connected device.
• For Bluetooth connection issue: The WF-1000XM3 has a new Bluetooth chip and an optimized antenna design to provide a stable connection for hours of wireless streaming. We appreciate setting the Sound quality mode to Priority on stable connection.
-Change the position or location of the unit or connected device.
-If the connected device has a cover on it, take it off to improve the communication distance.
-If the connected device is in a bag or in a pocket, try moving the position of the device.
-Place the devices closer together to improve signal transmission
• Signal interference may occur when a Wi-Fi device is in use near the unit if they both use the same 2.4 GHz frequency band. To resolve the issue, try the following:
-Turn off the Wi-Fi function of the connected device.
-If a Wi-Fi device is in use near the unit, turn off its Wi-Fi function or use the device at least ten meters away from the unit.
-Use the unit as far away as possible from a microwave oven, ticket gates, other Bluetooth devices, or places that generate electromagnetic radiation.
• For available operating time of the unit, the usage hours may be different depending on the settings and conditions of use. Each bud has separate bluetooth and good connections with my iPhone 8. The fit is so-so and I tried all the tips provided. They still fall out from time to time. The controls are beyond frustrating. If the sound wasn’t good, I’d return them for the terrible controls alone. I tried Adaptive Sound and that was *very* annoying.

The only thing is they stopped charging 1 month after my two year plan went up and it just seems to suspect for 5 stars. Great headphones though and I did get a full two years out of them so they get my recommendation.

These have much clearer sound and much better bass when comparing these to AirPod pros. I love the color scheme of these as well very classy! Best Active Noice Canceling!!

Especially with active noice cancellation and ambient sound. Sound stage is wide and the bass profile is how ever you want it to be. Very versatile eq setting makes the sound even more impressive. My only complaint would be the size of the ear buds and no IP rating. I’ve had every set of ear buds and if you want there best bang for your buck, these are definitely worth checking out.

My favorite thing about these earbuds is the sound quality and the fact that your can customize the sound equalization with a Sony app on your phone. With the noise cancelling feature activated, the sound quality from these earbuds rivals my various Bose products, and I am typically very loyal to Bose. The only shortcoming for me with these earbuds is the fit. Sony generously includes four different sizes of tips in two different kinds of material, so there are a lots of ways to get a personal fit. And they tell you to twist them in securely. But I have been trying to use these earbuds while doing some home construction, and when moving around, lifting things, and bending over, they tend to loosen up and start to fall out. Hopefully I can find an aftermarket set of tips to get a more secure fit. The sound quality is so amazing I don't want to have to give them up in favor of something more expensive with better fitment.

I also need it to be as reliable as the AirPods 1 for talk quality. My clients asked me several times what I had said after repeated attempts. I’m trying the Bose instead, knowing only the Right side headphone is active on a call. Some others who are too stupid to read instructions or reviews can go back to their Beats (Apple owned, lol) or Jbuds. SMH at peoples arrogance and stupidity

fantastic gift for my wife and she loves it

Still remembered the stunning look and quality out of the box back then. So when my wife needs earbuds, I go back to Sony again. This one is the top offering of the kind from Sony based on my knowledge. The design and color is also very classy that catches my wife's eyes. It is my wife's first wireless buds but she still manages to set it up quickly and connects to her phone and laptop. After some guidance, she learns how to tap to control the buds and feels surprised and excited, but of course these are no stranger to Sony users. My only complaint about the gesture and tap control is the lack of volume adjustment like mine. I guess that the tap region is too small for the function to be reliably incorporated, then it is understandable but such a pity. The buds auto stop or restart the play when you get one of them out of ear or back into ear, a function not available to my headphone.

The first issue and it’s minor but I don’t like the blue light blinking while wearing the buds. The second problem that I have with these things is the call quality. People on the other end have struggled to hear me at times , so much so that I had to take them off. Listing to music or anything else with these things are a pleasure.

We're sorry to hear that you're having some issues with our product. In the factory setting, when you wear the headset, the indicator turns off. If you change the setting on the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app so that the headset does not turn off by the automatic power-off function by wearing detection, the indicator will not turn off even when the headset is worn (Ref: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/wf1000xm3/v1/en/contents/TP0002289866.html).

Noise canceling is best in class, touch controls function very well and intuitively. Wish they were water proof or at the least water resistant, but it doesn’t matter. You buy these earbuds if you want the best sounding earbuds. They don’t disappoint.

I gave the Bose to my wife and when your on a call you hear the sound on both ear buds. The only bad thing is the case I have the black with gold top. It's already scratch and the color is fading I would think for the amount I paid it would be better quality.
