I am still experimenting with different tips to see which fit best. Audio quality is generally good, by far the best in noise cancelling mode. I do not notice a significant amount of actual noise cancelling in that mode, though.

The box came with a range of ear inserts. I had to go online to figure out how do some of the simple functions - like pair, turn volume up, etc. I made calls with them, and when sitting in a quiet space - like the inside of a car or in a room where there's no other nose, the sound was clear and everyone on the call could hear me fine. However, I tried to use these to take a call in an open-office setting and there was just too much background noise for me to come through clearly. The case is small enough to fit in small purse pockets or small dress pockets too, without feeling as though they weigh the dress down. When playing music out of it, the sound is awesome.

Only difficulty has been getting a proper fit, which some aftermarket earbud adapters will (hopefully) fix. Otherwise, sound and features are top notch. Highly recommend!

But after I downloaded the app to go with them , they started every so often to stop playing whatever I was listening to make a neep noise and go back to playing. Idk why it's doing that now I just don't touch my phone and I don't mess with the app and it's got a little better. But sound quality is amazing.

Love these, excellent noise cancelling for in-ear

These are great for a few different reasons. They are small and easy to just keep in your pocket and say continue listening to the podcast you were listening to in your car when you go in the grocery store. I felt a little funny when I did that with my over the ear headphones. They charge quickly in their own case. The noise canceling is great, not as good as the over-the-ear sony's but good enough for outside yard-work and in a public place where you don't want to look like a complete nerd. So I typically wear these when doing physical labor outside when it's hot, instead of the over-the-ear HP's because they made me sweat too much...these are much less sweat-causing! Love these!

The sound quality is good, but it lacks LDAC support. Also, it's a pain to switch between devices, and its microphone sucks. It's also on the heavy side. The ANC and sound quality are worse than AirPods Pro, but the latter excels in almost every other way...

To ensure optimal performance with noise canceling, check the Adaptive Sound Control settings on the Sony | Headphones Connect app. If Adaptive Sound Control is on, the effects of noise canceling may become weak. If it's on, we recommend turning it off. And also, Noise-canceling is ineffecive if your earbud headphones don't fit your ears properly. Select the appropriate size earbud tip that minimizes the ambient noise. -Sam

Owned for 5 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted to like these headphones but the connection every time i go to use them is so frustrating that after being complacent using them it’s now almost time to just throw them into the garbage and never look back. Every time i pull them out of the case, I spend two to three minutes getting them to just connect to my phone. It’s AWFUL!!! After connecting, ill be lucky if both headphones are actually synced and working. I should just be able to pull them out of the case and have them connect effortlessly, like AirPods. Want to switch from listening to music and head a voice memes? Nope. Want to go on a call using the headphones? No one can hear you. Terrible headphones but when they are synched and working, the quality of the speakers are great!

The noise level dropped less than 50% when it was on noise cancelling mode. The in-ear buds could reduce the noise level already. When the noise cancelling mode was on, the noise level reduced only a little. Not as good as I expected.

Ease of use was ok- the app was decent but sometimes pairing was a little buggy especially between my devices (Macbook, iPad, iPhone). The biggest letdown was the call quality though. It was horrible, the other person on the phone could not understand me for 90% of the calls I made.

However, the Bluetooth connection sometimes was very bad to connect my iphone at the first try, and it needs to disconnect and connect again. I can't use it to make phone calls at the noisy ambient...It's kinda useless to use it for any phone call...Sony fix it!

If you're pairing with NFC, take the earbuds out of the case before trying to pair (the instructions never say to take them out, and even show the picture with them in the case). Pairing with new devices is also not easy, at all.

Best Earbuds ever!

I know they aren’t meant for exercise but they stay in perfectly even during my sprint sessions! The noise canceling is also phenomenal because it knows when I’m outside vs indoors! So when I go run it’s automatic and can activate itself to listen for cars and other noise for safety. Vs when I’m at home and spray painting with my airbrush or whatever, it totally knows and does active noise canceling for me so I don’t hear a thing! Get the protection plan anyways, can’t be too safe, everything breaks! Sound quality is perfect! Play with the equalizer and check out Reddit for guidance!

Excellent Quality but uncomfortable fit
