Solid True Wireless Earbuds
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These earbuds sound amazing and with the app you can download you can customize the sound even more to your liking. I was worried about the size at first but I find them to be comfortable for long listening sessions and I haven’t experienced any ear fatigue. It comes with silicon and foam tips in various sizes which is nice so you can find the right fit. The noise cancelling and ambient noise features work great. The only cons I have are the battery life when using the DSEE HX with Noise Cancelling features turned on is not that great. It averages about 3 hrs with these features on. But if you turn one of the features off or both the battery life is much better. You can find the information posted on Sony’s website but it’s a little disappointing the DSEE HX affects battery life that much. For most people though they may not notice the difference in sound with it turned off. The other con is there is no multipoint connection so you have to disconnect from a device before you connect to another one. This didn’t bother me too much though because I knew that it wouldn’t support that feature prior to my purchase. Overall it is a very good headset that I would recommend. Especially for the sale price around $160-170 you would be very hard pressed to find a better sounding true wireless earbud.

Best true wireless... right now.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These earbuds are very good. Sounds great with active noise cancellation. Comfortable to wear. Battery life with the case is very good. And call quality is very good. Are they perfect? No. Cannot connect to multiple devices and no water resistance rating. They disconnect if I put one earbud back into the charging case (I’m sure a firmware update can fix it) and they do fatigue my ears if I wear them too long.

Good sound, everything else fails
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love Sony products. The sound quality is phenomenon and deserves a 10/10 as well as the noise cancelling. The reason this gets a 2/5 is because these constantly fall out while working out or other sorts of movements they will cause them to fall out. They connect when you don’t want them to, and disconnect when you want them to connect. I gave them way too many chances and then once I found out it was too late to return them I ended up selling them for $100.. the common price on the market, $130 than what I paid, so they don’t hold their value and frankly I don’t think they’re worth $230. Get it right Sony been a loyal customer for over 20 years

Just a lot of power from something so small
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m going to start off by saying HOLY SONY. If you want a ALL-IN-ONE (Quality Sound, MEGA BASS, Long Last Battery Life, Noice Canceling,Style & Comfort) then look no further cause Daddy Sony did something like no other. Ok ok, I know $229.99 but look how MUCH more you’re getting for the extra cash and Noice Canceling and Sony Headphone App make every penny worth wild. Only draw back, they are too elegant, that’s right too elegant. I feel like I should be in a Sony commercial wearing a suit or playing a 007. I even took them on a 2k jog to see how they would settle in the ear, they didn’t fall out. But these are not for the gym rat, there more for the that person that wants a all day all around wireless compact earbud that’s going here from there and back again. Just a great job by Sony. Good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They mostly stay in my ear when I run. I have to readjust them every now and then. One fell out once during burpees. There are three settings: ambient sound on, ambient sound off, and noise canceling. If you’re running outdoors with ambient sound on, there is a lot of wind noise. It’s almost unbearable so I don’t use it unless I’m running in a gym or walking. Ambient sound on is pretty much where it stays. The noise canceling I think needs some work but it’s okay for earbuds. They are also not waterproof! So keep that in mind. It started raining on one of my runs and though the headphones were okay in the end, I did have to take them out before it was over. My wet hair kept hitting the touch pads and messing with the settings. Overall, I don’t think that these earbuds are good workout earbuds for the outdoors. They do keep a charge and have yet to die on on me. I don’t regret buying them. I do think that there maybe some earbuds better suited for my needs.

Amazing Sound and Comfortable Fit, Spotty Pairing
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love the sound on my Sony WF-1000XM3 True Wireless Buds. They also have an amazingly comfortable fit. I primarily use them while gaming. I purchased a pair that had a hard time pairing and the connection would constantly disconnect and reconnect with static issues. I exchanged them for this pair and have had better success but not flawless. I still get the occasional connection issue requiring me to disconnect and reconnect. However, when they are working they are simply amazing. I get somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 or 6 hours of use before charging. I love that I can use either ear independent of the other bud so I can basically get unlimited use by using a single ear at a time. The mic seems to work ok as my friends claim they hear me just fine (but not as well as my gaming headphones). If you want these for you phone and to listen to music then you will not be disappointed as this is where they excel. I have tried almost every brand of wireless buds priced at $150 and up and these are in the top two on my favorites list.

Sound and noise cancelation is good, but somewhat
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good sound and great noise cancelation. Everything can be controlled by the app. However, they are pretty big and even wkth the smallest tip they don't stay in my ears well, so for people with smaller ear canals like me it may not be the best choice.

Wish They Were Better
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been researching for a while on true wireless earbuds. I’ve tried Beats, and Bose, the Beats have a better sound but poorer design that ultimately doesn’t last. The Bose didn’t fit well and the sound quality was lacking. The Sony’s were getting high marks so I decided to fly I’ve them a try. They come with lots of different sized earbuds which is nice but none seem to be working for me, they buds fall out of my ears all the time. The sound is good if you can get a good deal. Sometimes there is an echo or weird background noise when making phone calls. The sound when listening to music is good. It’s very easy to hang up in the middle of a phone conversation and yesterday, one of the headphones just went silent, wouldn’t connect to my phone and I don’t know why. I didn't want the Apple pod pros because I needed more sound quality which I’ve heard they don’t give, not to mention battery life is better on the Sonys. So I guess these will do for now..

Great sound and ANC
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound, and active noise cancellation; I have used them during flights and its amazing how they cancel noise. ANC also helps balance volume as you don’t need to increase it to enjoy your music We also got the AirPods Pro at the same time, there is a noticeable difference on the audio quality, the Sony’s handle a deeper bass and the sound just “feels” better The sony app has really good features: thru GPS and sensors it detects if you are just standing or moving around, and adjusts the ANC automatically. It also has an equalizer. I didn’t gave 5 stars because, its not a pair of EarPods i could use always, for sure they are not heavy or at least medium duty, they are not weather proof, and you also have the feeling they can just fell of your ear [compared to Bose soundsports]. Consider this as some excellent earpods for commute, office, home, airports, light walking.

Solid
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound is the best things I have placed in my ears, after the WH-1000MX3! Only issue is they don't have any wingtips , so they fall out frequently regardless of the fit that comes in the box. Also when I'm in large cities (I'm assuming with more than average cellular and Bluetooth signals) the buds begin to buzz constantly to the point where they are useless! Even after resetting them completely and charging them back up to 100%. This doesn't happen often. Only in highly populated areas. Discussing forums I've looked at expressed similar experiences. Otherwise, these are the best sounding wireless ear buds in the market. Especially at the $179 price point. App/EQ works great. Cala are clear on both ends. I haven't gotten any complaints when I'm on the phone. Honestly, Should be cheaper since they are not any kind of water resistant

For sure better than most earbuds
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a new experience user when it comes to wireless earbuds. I've been a wired earphones user my whole life. The Sony WF-1000XM3 is the first wireless earbuds I've owned. I could really recommend it to an everyday music listener. I've been using my XM3's for the past week and I do really enjoy them. The fit is secure for causal walking and maybe light jogging. Everyone is picking on these earphones because there is no wireless charging and no IP rating. Well first, Sony claims that they have never gotten really water damage complains. So using these in workouts should be fine, but then again, it is your choice. Now, wireless charging. I don't understand why people are complaining about this. Yes, wireless charging could have been a cool feature to have but why need it when the XM3's come with a USB C cable. Wireless charging always takes longer to charge then a wired charger. Anyways, the battery life is exceptional. Sony claims 6 hours if you have noise cancelling on or 8 hours if you have noise cancelling off. With the case, you get 18 hours or 24 hours more of battery. Charging these are insanely fast. You get a 1.5 hour battery with a 10 minute charge from the case. Sound: These sound good. The Sony app does help with adjusting the music EQ. The quality sounds very clean and clear. The only complain that I have of these earphones is that volume. These get pretty loud but I wish they could get even more louder. I come from the Sony Extra Bass wired earphones which was absolutely an amazing offer for $30. The Sony Extra Bass earphones are louder then the XM3's for sure. Even with the bass boosted to the max. But the XM3's do have a good amount of volume. Enough not to blow out your ears. Noise Cancelling: I believe this is why people are hyped for these earphones. The noise cancelling is pretty good. The best way I could describe the noise cancelling is if you are up a mountain and your ears aren't adjusted to the pressure so your ears are getting used to the attitude. That's the best way I could describe the max noise cancelling. It does work but not where it fully blocks out voices. You could hear just a bit, but it does reduce it by quite a lot. The features are great. Overall, I do liked these very much. Are they airpod killers? Honestly, yes. These do have more feature but the volume does get a bit louder in the airpods. But the airpods sound quality is trashy compared to the XM3s. The Sony's do have better sound quality overall and way more features. These do sound good in all genres. Rap, R&B, Pop, HipHop, you name it, the sonys do sound good. The only complain is the volume limit. I would recommend the Sony WF-1000XM3's to any person who does focus on sound quality and would like amazing features. Even for Apple users, these are great, better then Airpods in my opinion. Now if you were wishing for a cheaper earphone and if you don't mind having a wire then I would definitely recommend the Sony Extra Bass wired earphones. Right now there are on sale for $30 on Best Buy (regular price is $50). Those do sound amazing and is an amazingly underrated deal for the price. They do sound louder and maybe even better then the XM3's. Again, that's my opinion.

Solid wireless IE headphone... only if...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only if you have a phone with good bluetooth modem. I don't know how much upgrade it was between S9+ to S20+ in regards of Bluetooth modem. However, this earphone struggled on staying connected to my phone over bluetooth. I'm not even talking about being outside walking. I'm talking about the use while at home, sitting, literally 2-3 feet away from the phone. This happened while I was using this on my S9+. I tried everything I could find on the web, customer service, or my own theory. Nothing worked until I changed my phone to S20+. Now this earphone stay connected to my phone with no interruption even while I was commuting to my school. So my guess is that you gotta have a good bluetooth modem to stay connected to these pairs. Sounds great, playtime is pretty long, and I barely feel I have them on. SOOOOO... If you have a good phone, this is a good pair to pick up!

Great earbuds, but be realistic on expectations.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Noise cancelling is definitely Sony's champion feature in the headphone game. For these earbuds however, you must tone down your expectations. The fact they don't cover the entire ear affects just how much noise cancelling you can create. Don't think this replaces a proper noise cancelling over-the-ear headphone. Nevertheless, for the limitations the design brings to the table, I can attest to the great sound quality and noise cancelling. There's been stutters and connection issues every now and then, but nothing a reset can't fix. Paired to my Note10, these are great for just about anything and support Dolby Atmos feature that comes on many galaxy phones and tablets today. Design wise; they're comfortable, but I'd like a little peace of mind with sweatproofing for the next model.

Great sound quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am impressed by the sound and built, but not so much with how they fit me. I bought them looking for great sound, confort and phone calls. This is my experience after 2 months of use. Pros: 1)They sound amazing and I able to hear all the little detail sounds on a song. 2) built. Made out of good material and the case works just great. 3) battery life. I have no issues with the battery life. Cons: 1) they don’t fit me all that great. I have to adjust them every once in a while, and I can’t wear them for an entire 8 hour work day. At some point they are just uncomfortable. 2) the Bluetooth connectivity skips for less than a second every so often. I thought it was just me but I read another review with same issue. 3) I find them almost useless when it comes to talking on the phone with them.

Good soundstage...but not what I like in audio
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I switched to the Note 10+ and lost my dear headphone jack. So I went on the hunt for new earphones, that had to be wireless. My prior earphones were Bose Soundtrue Ultras (wired) and I loved them. Decided to try these out, as they cancel noise, have above average battery life, and all the reviews rave about them. They offer good bass, out of head experience in some songs, above average ANC, and a flat audio sound. However, I've had these for four days and I'm already having some buyer's remorse. So here are my thoughts: Battery: haven't had the chance to test full battery life. But seem solid so far. Been comparing them to by Bose Soundtrues and by Beats Studios all night. After 2 hours I'm at 70% on the Sony earphones. My concern is I take 10 hour flights and these last about 6 hours, so I'd have to put these in the case for 15-20 min to get another 4 hours to complete my flight. Audio: I'm not an audiophile and speak as the average Joe consumer. To me these sound flat, which is supposed to help with each song's intended production. But I like my music to sound a certain way. My Bose earphones sound more robust. The mids and highs come through more clear than the Sony. I know you can tweak the EQ, but I'd rather it sound good out the box. The Sony earphones have decent bass and I like the out of head experience they give in some songs. But I still think they are flat and I'd have to play with the EQ, which I'm not a fan of doing. Overall, just not feeling the audio, my opinion. Fit: This is where I'm having some issues. After a few minutes of wearing them, my ear canals get really itchy and I have to remove them and then put them back in before they get itchy again. The foamish tips help a bit but I can't find a size that doesn't feel like the earphones are going to fall out. I wore them to a light workout. Jogging on the treadmill, I could feel them getting lose (not ready to follow out). I had to wiggle them back in to seal in the sound again, as I could start to hear the treadmill and my foots steps. They also slightly bounce when jogging. Lifting weights, they seemed okay. These aren't water resistant so I'm hesitant to use them in strenuous workouts and hiking. Noise Cancelling: These do a good job in ANC for the gym and everyday activities. Without ANC they are also good, especially if you like to kill your ears at high volumes like I do :). But I could hear some higher frequency sounds and voices with ANC on. They are definitely better than my Beats Studios at ANC. Watching videos: These do a good job at syncing with videos on YouTube. There is a minimal delay on Disney+ and Netflix. And sometimes you will see a noticeable delay, then the earphones will sync up again with the video. The out of head experience pops out in videos, adding surround sound and picking up on audio you wouldn't hear without a home theater. Overall, I think I will be returning these as they aren't met for me. If you like good noise cancelling without the bulky headphones, a flat audio experience that can be potentially tweaked with an EQ, and will not be doing too much sweating and rapid movements, then these are for you. Honestly, I've just grown accustomed to Bose's sound experience (had two Bose earphones prior and Bose home theater) and I like a crisp audio experience right out of the box. I also need earphones that will withstand sweating from hikes (Camelback Mountain hikes for my Arizonans).

Sound great, but fit isn’t practical
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been on the market for wireless headphones for at least six months now. After countless nights reading reviews and researching what true wireless headphone could best suit my needs, I decided to buy the Sony WF-1000MX3. Upon opening the box, it’s quick to realize how immaculately everything was packaged. It felt like a part of the experience itself. The case and headphones themselves are beautifully packaged. They were easy to connect to my phone and probably took less than 5 minutes to run through instructions and app download recommendations. When pressing play on the first song with them on, I was surprised with how stellar the sound was. I’m a DJ and have had a pretty solid collection of headphones from Pioneer to Audio-Technica to Seinheiser, so hearing these little things was genuinely a treat. The bass is perfect and the noise cancelling features are similar to a pair or Audio-Technica headphones I had a few years back. Truly superb! The problem, however, is the design and fit. Despite trying all the ear buds, I’ve had a hard time getting them to stay in if I’m not staying in place. A quick walk around my apartment causes them to get loose and adjusting them the way advised (vertically then twist to lock in) isn’t really a pleasant experience. They are also kind of dense on the outer area, so I feel like the imbalance of weight adds to them wanting to pop out all the time. My wife tried them on and they seemed to do better with her, but she was still adjusting frequently. I truly wanted to hold on to these, but as someone who is somewhat active, they’re highly impractical. They definitely do not advertise that they’re great for working out - which is fine - but even for the commuting I do to the store, it was hard to enjoy the sound without thinking of them becoming loose, falling out, then breaking. Idk which headphones I’m going to go for next, but I hope that Sony fixes the fit in the future. I’d definitely get the next pair if so.

Decent
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are touted as industry leading in terms of noise canceling. On engineering specs that may be the case, but in reality, AirPods Pro were noticeably superior. Also, the noise canceling proved less effective at drowning out wind when outdoors. That bugged me. Also with walking at a brisk pace I could hear the ear buds move/rub on my ears. That was annoying. At rest, the sound is easily superior to the AirPods Pro. Bass sounds great! I preferred bass boost setting but found I had to manually switch it on every time I went to use the headphones. That gets old. Call quality average. Again, AirPods Pro superior in this category. Call recipients complained about the quality. My left ear hole must be weirdly shaped, because sadly, this Sony ear bud falls out with gardening, exercising no matter which tip I use, just like I experienced with the AirPods Pro. Curiously, despite the AirPods Pro fitting slightly worse, the noise canceling on that model was still superior to the Sony. I think this product is great if you have normal ear holes and plan to use it sitting still or with light activity. It was great for connecting to a smart TV or streaming device- I loved that I could tap the right ear bud to pause or resume programing. This is also great choice if you don't plan to rely on the Sony earbuds for frequent calls (yes I updated the firmware; didn't seem to improve call quality). Again, overall I liked the sound far better than that of the AirPods Pro- this Sony is superior for hip hop, R&B, dance. The tipping point for me returning them was the fact that I apparently have a deformed left ear canal and no ear buds will make a proper seal. Are over the ear headphones my only option? Please reply to this review if you have a recommendation! I've used Bose SoundSport in the past, the StayHear silicone tips work well but there is no noise cancellation at present (yes I know there is a new Bose unit coming soon, but I will not pay their $400 retail price).

Really great wireless earbuds
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are excellent wireless earbuds. The sound is outstanding with particular attention given to the bass reproduction, which may be the best I've heard. A knock against these is that they're not the smallest earbuds around. Still, they're not uncomfortable. Extra notes are the Sony app that allows for customization. It's a robust program, and it gives you lots of options. Lastly, they're reasonably priced given the value they bring.
