They can be a little uncomfortable at first, but with repeated uses your ears will adapt. Noise cancelling is almost too good, my only wish is that they were sweat resistant.

The WF-1000XM3 comes with different sizes of earbuds to ensure there is a great fit for all ear sizes and an optimal noise canceling experience. Please use the right size according to the size of your ears. When wearing them, please gently pull on the top of your ear as you twist the earbud into your ear. This should give you a firmer hold and better noise canceling experience.

I just wanted to use them as stand alone noise-cancelling ear plugs, but they don't function without being linked to a phone. I returned them and got a full refund.

Unfortunately, these headphones always have to be connected to an audio source for the noise canceling to function. However, you can use Noise Canceling without playing any audio as long as it is connected to your Bluetooth device. They really don’t want to stay in place with the least amount of movement if your wanting to do stuff they kinda wanna come out.
