I was actually able to sleep on along journey plane ride wearing these. I couldn't hear any disturbances from surrounding or the airplane sound. Definitely recommend them.

For fit concern, the WF-1000XM3 features an Ergonomic Tri-hold structure design for a snugly and comfortably fitting. A high-friction rubber surface keeps the noise canceling earbuds snug and secure in your ear so they won’t slip out unexpectedly. This does also come with an assortment of earbuds in various sizes to ensure there is a great fit for all ear sizes. To ensure optimal performance and reduce discomfort while wearing the headphones, we recommend to try to use the right size according to the size of your ears. When wearing them, please gently pull on the top of your ear as you twist the earbud into your ear.
The communication between the devices will be poor if there is an obstruction between the unit and the connected device. As a suggestion, you may try setting the Sound quality mode to Priority on stable connection (via Sony Headphones Connect app) and see if it resolves the problem. Also, check that the headphones are running on the latest firmware version. The software includes key features, applications, bug fixes, and feature improvements.

Decent music, terrible connection

First, you have to download a separate app to control the headphones (more complicated than my previous pair where you just needed to make sure they are connected to Bluetooth). I have had MULTIPLE times where they were connected via Bluetooth, but the app did not recognize the headphones and they would not work. Second, I have had one earbud stop working on NUMEROUS occasions. Sometimes both earbuds will magically lose connection (I am either on a stair master or treadmill, so it is not like I am outdoors with potential interferences). Like I said, decent pair of headphones, but for the price and the brand name of Sony, they are NOT worth the money. Unhappy with this purchase.

I couldn't get the tips to be comfortable, though. I have previously owned Bose in-ear headphones and their tips are designed to be much more comfortable, something Sony should consider for the next version of these. Additionally, if I walked around downtown, the signal would be interrupted if I turned my head the wrong way (something these earbuds promised not to do since each earbud will supposedly connect to your device). In the end, I returned them and continued my search.
