I do not notice any difference When noise canceling is activated. If you try to push them back in your ear you can activate/deactivate the ambient noise control. Software is not great. I tried them at ny desk.sleeping and on a flight. I compared them to the new beats in ear,apple ear-pods and jabra in ear. If the are in your ear securely they sound better than the beats but not enough it is worth choosing these. I suggest you skip these.

Sound on phone calls doesn't work right if you only have 1 of the buds in. The battery life is only about 4-5 hours max The sound cancellation and quality is excellent.

To maximize the effectiveness of Noise Canceling, it is important to minimize any gap that exists between your ears and the earbuds. A tighter seal may also be achieved by lightly pulling up on the top of the ear and twisting the earbud as you place it in your ear.
