I had to turn off the ambient sound because it was always changing when I was working. But that was fine. I loved how Alexa would read text back to you and you could reply quickly with a simple tap without ever taking your phone out. But I didn't like how I always had to have the left bud in my ear. I like to have one in and when one dies I have the other to go to. But the biggest draw back was when I was on the phone the other person said I sounded terrible. They heard so much back ground noise. I asked qeek squad and they could help me. So I had to take them back.

I would have to disconnect and reconnect multiple times to fix it. Sometimes the headset would randomly disconnect and reconnect on its own. I went to bestbuy to do a swap thinking I had a defective one. New pair did the exact same again. I also swapped phones. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G. These just don't seem to be compatible. Went with the Bose Quietcomfort instead and they've been perfect so far

We would like to apologize if you are not having the best experience with these wireless headphones particularly with the Bluetooth connection. It's unfortunate that the unit had to be returned. The communication between the devices will be poor if there is an obstruction between the unit and the connected device. As a suggestion for a stable connection, we recommend to switch the settings with the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app. Set the headset to “Priority on stable connection” mode.
We've also released a firmware update to improve phone call quality for your WF-1000XM3 headphones. We value your input and appreciate the feedback, it helps us improve our future products.

One of the possible resolutions to the issue is by updating the firmware of the headphones (via the Sony Headphones Connect app) for optimum performance. The software update improves the general performance of the unit and includes key features, applications, and bug fixes.

Couldn't tell the difference compared to WF-SP800N
