When an option on the app is, “sound quality or connectivity”, one or the other... kind of tells you something might be up if you have to choose between the two. There was a popping sound when ever it dropped the connection. And multiple devices, as in connected on two phones, huge lag time when its switching. Seems like firmware on the device is lacking. Its onboard computing instructions needs an update or something..for $240 tax included i expect it to be a lot less "buggy".

We appreciate your feedback regarding the comfortability of this WF-1000XM3. The unit is not waterproof. It's unfortunate that the unit had to be returned. Good to know that you appreciate the good sound quality of them.
The WF-1000XM3 comes with different sizes of earbuds to ensure there is a great fit for all ear sizes and an optimal noise canceling experience. As a suggestion, to reduce discomfort while wearing the headphones, we recommend to try to use the right size according to the size of your ears. When wearing them, please gently pull on the top of your ear as you twist the earbud into your ear. This should give you a firmer hold and better noise canceling experience.
We hope that you will shop Sony again in the future.

I particularly love the “ambient sound” mode allowing you to still hear your surroundings while wearing the headphones. Not a very good microphone quality however, but for my usage that’s fine. If you have an iPhone you cannot use Siri with them. You can use Google Assistant, but it’s not the easiest compatibility. Bluetooth connections is General is fast and efficient, even with Apple products.

In just over 2 months they have been swapped two times now. The first pair Han an issue with the left earbud not charging. On the second pair, the right earbud stopped charging. Sony was very nice and immediately replaced them with a new pair, but the same issue to happen on two different pairs is cause for concern. When the second pair needed to be replaced, I decided to pick up an additional pair of another model from Sony. These are head and shoulders above my original choice.
