Sound quality, while very good, is not as advertised. I expected more from earbuds that were well above $200. Connection was seamless and the charge is above average, good fit with included extra tips. Actual product quality is very good and noise canceling works very well. There are $100 headphones with better sound quality. Sorry Sony, sound is not there for the price.

Likes, 1. Sound quality and the availability to adjust levels through the app. 2. Noise canceling, especially riding the motorcycle. 3. fit and comfort. Dislikes: 1. Cannot answer a call except through the phone. 2. Sound level adjustment is on the phone only. does not interact with Siri and no voice commands. They are pretty pricy but do have great features through the app. Just takes a little getting use to the new features.

Its been 11 months now and so far rock SOLID, but there is a drop in battery backup levels with ANC being always on. The sound is nice, good base and vocals are clear. The wind noise reduction mode is great as it cuts any wind noise that creeps in. These are a bit on heavier side, so tend to come off while running, have tried different bud options but not much success.

I purchase after purchasing the airpod pros die to the reviews about the sound stage. They don’t disappoint. The sound that these put out are definitely better than the pros. I also love the app that comes with it. From there you can change the eq settings and control anc. Having google assistant and or amazon alexa is also a plus. Apple only advantage would be the comfort or the AirPods. Overall a great product

The sound quality is excellent and they are comfortable for long wear. I use them mostly while at work and they stay in my ears just fine, but they start to feel lose when doing anything strenuous so i would not recomend them as sports ear buds.

Picked these earbuds after using a set from JBL. The buds fit well and don't fall out. Plenty of inserts to fit different size ear cavities. Very good sound quality and noise cancelling works really well. Ambient noise feature is average and the touch controls on the earbuds are sometimes difficult to find but not really a problem. Battery life is good and charging in the holder is quick. I would recommend.

These headphones get so much right, but a single critical thing wrong: Sound while using noise cancelling. The ANC is great, but there’s a noticeable difference in sound quality when it’s active. Other than that, I love them and don’t plan to return them! Pairing is easy and you have to download Sonys app to take full advantage of their headphones. Battery life is great and easily lasts me a couple days of average use.

When I heard this was released, I always wanted these. I love the over the ear headphone equivalent to these earbuds. Maybe it is in the integration with IOS but these are marginal when compared to the AirPod Pro and Gen. 2 AirPods. I never really seemed to get a great fit with the tips. I even tried some Comply tips thinking that they would solve the problem. Maybe I did get a good seal but the ANC was marginal at best whether it was complete noise cancellation or the opposite. There really wasn't much of a difference in the modes. The AirPods Pro noise cancellation was much better IMO. Also, while playing music, I would hear clicking as it shifted between the different ANC presets. I turned off the automatic ANC detection after that but there was occasional static during music playback. It also felt as though they were going to fall out of my ear at times. With the app, I love the customization but, after trying multiple ways to deal with the above mentioned issues, it reminded me of owning my Android phones. I felt like I was constantly tinkering with stuff to make things work compared to my IPhone and AirPods, that don't require that.

Cannot get to pair to phone. No blue light just a bunch of flashing red lights. Read instructions, watched videos, and nothing. Other manufacturers' products in past worked easily. Why can't I get Sony to work?? Troubleshooting instructions are poor to non-existent. Returning product.

I was very skeptical about getting these, but overall I really enjoy them. PROS: - Portability. These things are a life saver for when I have to wake up and go. I’m a very forgetful person, so it’s always a nice surprise to see these small headphones in my bag because they’re so easy to carry around. - Charging case: Honestly - huge life saver. I use these primarily for work, and when I’m on break I slap these bad boys into the case and come back to fully charged earphones. - App: I’ll be honest, I don’t use the app much, but it’s really cool to check out since you can change what settings you want your earphones on (bass boosted, speech for clearer phone calls, etc.). CONS: CONNECTIVITY: Sometimes the connectivity can be finicky, and for the first few days sometimes it would randomly disconnect and I would have to put both headphones in, close the charging case, reopen it, and then it would work. BATTERY LIFE: While the charging case is great, I know some people (like me) enjoy listening to HOURS AND HOURS of music nonstop. So it kind of sucks hearing “low battery; please charge” after only 4 hours of use. All in all: these earphones are great!

I’ve spent a great deal of time comparing wireless earbuds and decided to give the Sony WF-1000XM3 a try. ANC works well, but I’m experiencing connectivity and call issues. I’ve given these buds nearly a weeks worth of wear, I’ve become frustrated with them. -Connectivity: drops and reconnects during listening to music with my Apple iPhone 11pro Max. -Calls: on several occasions, the calls and listening to music, the buds tend to digitally echo from one earbud to the other. The person on the other end of the conversation has difficulty understanding or not hearing me. I expect a Sony rep will comment to ensure that the earbuds have the latest software update and it does. I even go as far to reboot my phone. I’m disappointed in these buds and will exchange them for another hoping that the issues are contained to only these buds.

One of the best noise canceling ear buds. The only down side to this one is that it doesn’t really hold in your ear that good. I tried using different size ear pieces that it comes with but still, not good for running, work around the house or working out. Only recommend if you use it for just normal walking or for travel while in the plane, etc... otherwise it will fall out.

These Sony earbuds have excellent sound, a lot of bass, great ambient sound mode, and impressive active noise cancellation. Battery is good for the earbuds and the case. Include a varity of choices for ear tip sizes and you can choose to use silicone or foam ear tips.

Looked around for a decent sounding pair of earbuds and found these. Honestly, they have a much better sound than the Airpods Pro (my partner owns a pair and agreed that Sony’s were better). The ANC was also pretty good! Unfortunately, the ones I purchased got plagued by bad connection issues. Sound would be fine for a good 10 minutes before they started cutting out once every few minutes, even when the source was right in front of my face. I put up with the issues for about a month before I decided I’ve had enough, so I went back to exchange them. Things were looking well for 2 hours before they started cutting out like before. I really wanted to love these. They had great sound at a more affordable price ($158 at the time I wrote this), but I hated having my music cut out. You might have better luck but I looked elsewhere.

After owning these for several months, I can now officially give a real review of them. I genuinely love them. The sound and battery life are great. I had the Jabra ones and broke them 2x within a month and just settled for not owning a pair until I could catch these on sale. I am very glad I did. These fit better, sound better, and are more durable than the others. I have dropped them a couple of times (taking off sweater and forgetting they were in my ear) and nothing changed. They still have the same sound quality, unlike the Jabra. Also, their connectivity range is phenomenal. I can leave my phone in one area of the lab I work in and walk to the complete other side that have brick walls in the way of a direct path of connection. Nothing changes. I use them every single day I am at work and have since I bought them. The battery time still holds up as well.

I've been using Skullcandy Bluetooth buds for some years, and they always seem to go bad in the left one after like a year. Finally decided to just drop money on the semi-most expensive one cause I hoped it would last longer from a bigger brand like Sony, been worth it so far. Easy set up like any other BT device, and you can optionally install the app for additional controls. Noise canceling is great, and the ambient mode can filter in a little bit of outside sound if you need it to where you are. The case is really nice, holds charges a long time and the buds have small magnets which keeps them in place better. Been using for 2 months before writing this review and hopefully more. I went with WF 1000 because the charge time seemed less appealing on whatever model before this one

These are a petty solid pair of earbuds, the noise canceling is an 8/10. The one downside is the size and the slight feeling of them falling off but they thankfully come with different sized tips. Comes with 7 pairs of tips. These are usually on sale now bc they’re the older models so get them on sale and you’ll get more bang for your buck.

TLDR -Active Noise Cancelling does work well enough for earbuds -sound quality is pretty good -battery life with ANC on is only 3-3.5 hrs for me instead of advertised 6 hrs (reason for return) -a little uncomfortable for extended use -syncing has some issues but eventually works -did not test call capabilities I purchased these for long flights over 5-6+ hours. Took it for a 14-15 hr flight and had to recharge it a couple times each way. The recharge is pretty fast which is nice. The rated battery life WITH ANC on is supposed to be 6 hours. I get 3-3.5 hrs MAX. Comfort is also an issue for me as they get a little sore after being used for a while. I tend to have to readjust often to avoid any added discomfort. Syncing also is a bit finicky. Sometimes it connects immediately, other times one will connect and the other won't. Switching between devices sometimes takes a minute. Aside from that, the sound quality is pretty good. I have the Jaybird Vistas to compare them to and the sound is definitely a good amount better than those. ANC does work pretty well on the flight, whereas the ambient sound could be a LITTLE louder when trying to hear the environment around me. the technology is there, just could use some more improvements. the main reason for returning these is the battery life. might as well just use my jaybird vistas for the same length of time. I do like these earphones but maybe when a newer model comes out or they fix some of the issues. I did not test any of the calling capabilities.

Excellent balanced typical Sony sound and great noise cancellation. App that accompanies this product is pretty good. This gets 4 stars because now in 2021 there are better options in terms of fit, sound, and features for less than $249. Be wary about buying this because Sony will likely update this product with a new and updated version within the year.

I have owned an unspeakable about of headphones, earbuds, and noise cancelling products from every big brand out there. I recently switched from the Sony WI1000x to these and i am loving the convenience earbuds. My last experience with true wireless buds was the Bose Free soundsport. I returned those within a week. Naturally, I had my reservations about another like product. I can tell you hands down that these do not disappoint. One of the most frustrating issues with the Bose product was audio drops that happened so frequently it was unable to ignore. Theses earbuds have been very dependable thus far. No drops! I am impressed with the audio these create! They have all around good sound but you also get extra bass that the sony's are known for! Now they do not produce as punchy of bass as the WI1000x, but this is a smaller package and i am happy with what they managed to create! They look great and feel great! Highly recommend! Enjoy!
