The EQ on the app really make a difference. I have different setups for rock, rap and techno. The buds are a little large but fit my ears after selecting the right tips. The included foam tips worked the best for me. I bought some memory foam tips from Comply and they are perfect. Battery lasts almost the whole day without charging. Call quality and noise cancellation wasn’t high priority for me but work well.

There are multiple earbud options to ensure a good fit, the noise cancelling is great (and adjustable), and the sound is rich (also adjustable with an EQ app available on various phone OS's). Additionally they have pretty great battery life and putting them in the carrying case for a short period of time gives you another ~1hr of listening time. My only complaint is that the charging cord is a little short.

The 5 hour battery is a limitation when it comes to long flights ( west coast <> east coast ) Another limitation is the quality of phone calls. When in street the voice quality through the mic is really poor and I will not recommend this headphone for anyone who wants to use t for phone calls on the move

Setup is easy and battery life seems to be about 3 hours a charge. My second pair of Sony wireless earbuds and they are excellent. Ambient noise and noise canceling modes work well. Noise cancelling can never replicate over the head phones but these work very well for buds.

No issues to date. I also own the wh version; over-the-ear. Amazing how well they perform in comparison to the wh version. The noise cancelling is what makes these so much better than other ear buds. The sound stage, base, and range are also impressive given their size. Only complaint is slight wind noise in windy conditions. I would absolutely buy again and recommend. Well worth the money.

I bought these to replace my Bose because the Bose wireless earbuds battery depletes itself over time, even if you are not using them. With the Sony WF-1000XM3 I never have to worry about the battery dying, even if I have not used them for 4-5 days. The sound and bass is amazing, and using the mobile app allows you to make custom adjustments for noise-cancelling features and equalizer options as well.

Sony provides different sizes of earbuds to obtain the best fit and prevent the headsets from falling out. You may select the earbuds that fit your ears the best and wear the headset correctly. For fit concern, the WF-1000XM3 features an Ergonomic Tri-hold structure design for a snugly and comfortably fitting. A high-friction rubber surface keeps the noise canceling earbuds snug and secure in your ear so they won’t slip out unexpectedly. This does also come with an assortment of earbuds in various sizes to ensure there is a great fit for all ear sizes. To ensure optimal performance, as well as to obtain the best fit and prevent the headset from falling out, when wearing them, please gently pull on the top of your ear as you twist the earbud into your ear. This should give you a firmer hold.

The sound of the Sony earbuds are very great and the app gives you lots of customization. The design makes them light weight and very comfortable, though we would not recommend using these for more then 5 hours as they tend to start to hurt by then. Overall these are great headphones thought the pricing is overall pretty high.

Nice Sound, but battery issues

To be honest, it was okay. It blocked some of the ambient noise, but a lot still filtered through. I tried all the ear tips, but non of them really helped. The volume also seems a bit low, not sure if that is normal for Sony products. My biggest grip is the battery life. Professional reviewers and Sony claim 6 hours with ANC on. However, I got 3.5 hours before the right earbud (down to 20%) told me to recharge and subsequently shut down. In the first hour of listening to music at 50% volume, the left earbud power indicator said 70% and the right was 100%, then at the 2 hour mark, both were at 50% and at 3 hour mark, the left was at 50% and the right was at 20%. At 3.5 hours the right earbud told me to recharge, then shut itself off abruptly. I don't know if this can be fixed with a firmware update or if it's a defective earbud, but am very disappointed. I'll try charging and discharging the earbuds over the next few days to see if that helps with battery life, but if it persist, I'm afraid I'm going to have to return these. Too bad, I really wanted to like these. I purchased this to replace my aging Airpods 1st generation, which I had for 2.5 years with no issues.

The noise canceling feature works really well and they are comfortable to wear for long periods. A bit pricey but worth it if your budget allows. It's the sound I bought them for and they didn't disappoint. They sound as good as any wired headphones I've owed (I always try and get good headphones, the ones that come with the phone go straight in the trash). Much better than the airpods.
