Great sound but connectivity issues with iPhone

They do, however, have a ton of problems with apple products. Connection dropped with no warning, resetting the AirPods seem to fix it a but that is a cumbersome process which I was forced through multiple times throughout the day. Bottom line is if you are an android user go ahead and snag these. iPhone users might wanna just pick up some AirPod pro’s.

For fit concern, the WF-1000XM3 features an Ergonomic Tri-hold structure design for a snugly and comfortably fitting. A high-friction rubber surface keeps the noise canceling earbuds snug and secure in your ear so they won’t slip out unexpectedly. This does also come with an assortment of earbuds in various sizes to ensure there is a great fit for all ear sizes. To ensure optimal performance, as well as to obtain the best fit and prevent the headset from falling out, when wearing them, please gently pull on the top of your ear as you twist the earbud into your ear. This should give you a firmer hold.

I use these for airline flights and they work great. Good sound and noise cancelling. Battery life is fantastic too. Used for international travel and lasted the entire flight....just drop them back into their case and they will charge right up.

I tried with so many different OEM and after market tips, but could never get them to fit right. The ANC is perfect but the sound quality can seem digital. The soundstage is wide, but it all comes down to that fit! Such a bummer otherwise they'd be keepers. Maybe you'll have better luck...

Great Sound, Horrible App and Connectivity

Highs are defined, and very clear, and the bass is punchy. When you watch reviews on the internet, they focus on the sound so heavily, and do not highlight a lot of the problems this product has. The Apps for iOS are terrible. There were many times when my headphones were connected, and playing music, but the app would say no device was connected at all. The headphones also have a terrible microphone for calls. Trying to use these with my computer for conference calls was a nightmare. Finally, the touch-capacitive buttons will constantly activated if you are wearing a beanie, or anything to keep your head warm that covers your ears. This makes these terrible for people that live in cold climates up north. All in all, I loved the headphones for the sound they produced, but the surrounding features were so hit or miss, that it forced me to return them. Your mileage may vary, and maybe they can fix a lot of the problems with a software update, but for the time I would stay away.

Note: iOS13.2 or higher is required to install the update. It cannot be installed with Apple devices with iOS13.1. Fitment is a problem in my experience and they had fallen out with ear movement like eating or excercising. I only recommend them for the sound and features but not fit. Since I had the extended waranty, I exchanged and upgraded and paid the difference.

These were great - but battery doesn't last

The noise canceling alone is a fantastic feature for a loud work environment, and the sound is much better than other true wireless earbuds. Sadly the battery doesn't seem to hold up to frequent use. They were nearly up to the 6 hour per charge claim when I first got them, but now struggle to get 3 hours of use at medium volume and with the motion sensing adaptive noise cancellation turned off. Maybe mine are just an unlucky glitch, or Sony will improve them in the future, but right now they just aren't up to heavy use. Even my year old, daily used airpods have held their claimed battery life longer, though they never got 6 hours in the first place. I will say that the touch controls are also a bit glitchy and you have to be very precise about touching the right spot on them. I didn't really take this into account for the score because it is a feature I don't use much, but it is nice to be able to reliably pause music to listen to someone, and the airpods do this perfectly.

Hopefully this is a setting that can be changed. Sony often sends updates to the firmware and app software to enhance functionality.

Twist the headset to slide the earbud deep into your ear. The look is incredible, and I love the color. Out of the box, they were easy to set up and the sound quality is everything you would expect from Sony. The ability to adjust and set presets for different listening modes and talking is incredible. The only problem, if they just don’t fit. I felt like Lt. Units from Star Trek because they stick out so far from your ear that I was constantly putting my hand up to hold it in place. Don’t try to turn your head or they will fall out. Even with different ear tips, they just stick out to far to fit well. Overall great electronics, horrible design.

Sonly Delivers a Rival to the Airpods

They might be from the last generation of earbuds but it still stands up to what's out there currently. The noise-cancelling feature stands out as its best feature. The only drawback is there odd design. They resemble old bluetooth earpieces. That's the only reason it's getting four stars instead of five.

Excellent sound quality, but bit too big

Size takes some time to get used to, and I still have this fear of it's falling out. Other than that, it's a very well constructed device. Looks and feel "expensive" :-) The best of all though is the sound quality. Very pleasantly surprised on how nice it sounds. I'm by no means an audiophile, but I really like and satisfied by how good this sounds. The noise cancellation is very well implemented too.
