I mostlly use the “ambient sound off” mode to save battery. They last about 6 hours with no charge. So the labels are true. The fit was perfect once i got my bud size figured out; theyd fall out at first with the package installed ones. Ive used them ever day without fail. Only time they let me down is when i forget to charge them. Upgraded from racon to these.

Battery life is decent (advertised to be about 5h with ANC on, but in my experience its usually little more than half that. The gesture controls are a bit of a pain to get used to and even when you do, they are inconsistent at best. Still, lots of features included in these and the sound quality is really unparalleled.

Thank you for sharing your experience on using your WF-1000XM3. While we're glad you like the sound quality, we regret to hear that you are having issues with your wireless headphones. The WF-1000XM3 comes with different sizes of earbuds to ensure there is a great fit for all ear sizes and an optimal noise canceling experience. Please use the right size according to the size of your ears. When wearing them, please gently pull on the top of your ear as you twist the earbud into your ear. This should give you a firmer hold and better noise canceling experience.
We designed these headphones to provide incredible sound and noise cancellation in a compact, stylish, truly wireless design. The headphones offer 6 hours of power and the handy charging case provides three more charges to keep you going throughout the day. That’s up to 24 hours of noise-free listening. With noise canceling off, it’s even longer — 8 hours of power on a full charge, with three more charges from the charging case, for up to 32 hours of play time plus the ability to get 90 minutes of use from a 10-minute quick charge. The earbuds feel good and I don't feel they will fall any time like other brands. The mic is fair good and the noise cancelling as well. The only reason I put four instead of five start is because this earbuds don't let you analyze the area you are in to increase the noise cancelling, lik the WH 100xm3

My initial reaction was “wow, these are awesome” better than the air pods. Right? Well, my expeditions slowly diminished when I realized these are really uncomfortable. And I’m not nagging, I mean these hurt my ears and a pain to wear. I’ve heard many other people talk about how uncomfortable these are and they are not lying.For some reason mainstream reviews have not reported this, and I think they should. It makes me sad that I have to return these... on paper these are the best headphones when it comes to sound quality and premium materials. But comfort has to come first because these are something that are going to be sitting in my ears for hours at a time. Sorry Sony, you were so close. Long story short-pain to wear-will be returning and getting air pods instead as those are more comfortable.

Great better than AirPods pro

Great quality. I do like that the AirPods case charges wirelessly though and that it’s much smaller than the one for these headphones.

The noise canceling is good when the ear buds are completely inserted into the ears but they do loosen a bit over time which allow noises to creep through. I learned to do a better job of inserting them into my ears to prevent them from loosening as much and as often. I find there’s a balance between comfort and completely inserting them.

Headphones does not provide the sound as advertised. Also the constant ping alerts is annoying due to constantly stopping what you are listening to. Battery life is great. Need to work on the fit in ears and give better equalizer.

That being said, if you are coming from the AirPods or Powerbeats Pro, you will miss some of the convenience Apple’s proprietary chip has. I thought sacrificing that convenience for better sound and noise cancellation would be worth it, but I find myself rather annoyed by the regular trappings of Bluetooth. They sound great though!

Although they work great in the Apply realm, I was never too impressed with he noice cancelling. I struggled between buying the Air Pod Pros and these Sony's 14 months ago. Over the holiday's the Sony were on sale and I decided to buy they for myself as a Christmas Present. These ear buds are terrific and right out of the box they beat Air Pods for overall sound quality and noise cancellation. I upgraded the tips to the Comply Premium Earphone Tips available on line for these Sony ear buds and I can honestly say the noise cancellation is even better and replacing Sony's stock tips with these make the listening and noise canceling experience even better. If your on the fence about these like I was climb over, I wish I would have started with these 14 months ago and I'm an Apple guy.

Compared to the AirPods Pro, they’re not good.

I figured I would roll with some Sony earbuds, since I’ve heard so much praise from them. As soon as I put them in and hit play, I knew I made a big mistake. For starters, the earbuds are so big and cumbersome in your ears. 2, the sound quality is very mid range heavy, even with an equalizer and noise cancellation on. 3, the case is ginormous and doesn’t comfortably fit in your pocket with your phone. 4, for iPhone users, the app is endlessly annoying, constantly sending you notifications when a new song starts or when ANC is enabled/disabled. There are many features on the app that are gimmicky, such as the location sound change. The audio pass through is not nearly as good as the Pros and the buds themselves are very hard to remove from the case. The only positive I see is the price (at the time of writing this is $178). Compared to the $249 of the AirPods Pro, it’s a good deal if you can deal with the faults mentioned above.
