I have the WH-1000XM3 over the ear noise cancelling headphones which I really like. I bought these for more portability and the option not to get headphone equivalent to bed head from wearing them for a couple of hours that I commute -- all good. However, took off a star for two reasons -- I don't think the noise cancelling is up to the hype. Additionally, I find them to be uncomfortable after about 20-30 minutes. All in all good, but would like something with better noise cancellation and lighter and more comfortable.

The WF-1000XM3 comes with different sizes of earbuds to ensure there is a great fit for all ear sizes and an optimal noise canceling experience. Please use the right size according to the size of your ears. When wearing them, please gently pull on the top of your ear as you twist the earbud into your ear. This should give you a firmer hold and better noise canceling experience. If the earbud tips tend to come off or you feel that there is insufficient low frequency sound and a difference in volume between the left and right units, change the earbud tips to another size to comfortably and snugly fit your left and right ears. Feel free to test them again once done with our suggestions. -Carl

I couldn’t justify the money for AirPods. I managed to get these on sale. The case holds a really long charge. I think I’ve only had to charging it a second time once now. Something that I noticed is that the case can double as a phone stand for watching videos. Not sure if that was by design but it totally made my day.

You can try turning off the DSEE feature if you want to get as twice battery life of a single charge. By using the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app, you can check which codec is used for a connection or switch the DSEE HX function.

They just didn’t feel like headphones worth $250 after tax. The sound was great, deep bass, way better than AirPod sound. I returned them because of the bluetooth challenges. It would regularly disconnect from my iPhone, one headphone would stop playing while fully charged and others said the sound quality on phone calls was bad and I was hard to hear. Maybe with an update and when they get cheaper I will consider them again.

Way too expensive for what they offer. Also too heavy, too big, poor isolation (and I tried all eartips) and just mediocre noise canceling. I also tend to belive that Sony did it again like they did with WH-1000XM3 where they messed up the noise canceling during their updates. I belive NC was better when I got them 3 months ago.
