We're sorry to hear that you have an issue with your SONY unit. The WF-1000XM3 has a new Bluetooth chip and an optimized antenna design to provide a stable connection for hours of wireless streaming. To ensure you get the best Bluetooth connection, please set the headphones Bluetooth Connection Mode to “Priority on stable connection”.
When connecting the headset to a Bluetooth device, use the headset at least 10 m (30 feet) away from the wireless LAN device. If this headset is used within 10 m (30 feet) of a wireless LAN device, turn off the wireless LAN device. Use this headset and the Bluetooth device as near to each other as possible.

Sony provides different sizes of earbuds to obtain the best fit and prevent the headsets from falling off. You may select the earbuds that fit your ears the best and wear the headset correctly. Loses connectivity - no way to track case battery%

Battery life wasn't as advertised, even when I turned off ANC. Would put the earbud back into the case and take it out to reconnect, and it would not do so, I had to manually unpair the device, forget it in bluetooth settings and reconnect. This happened on 2 occasions. BestBuy is not any help because I am not considered an "elite" member, so my return window was only 15 days. Very dissatisfied with BestBuy and this Sony product. Now I am stuck with $229 headphones that sometimes work. Also a con, with as much advance technology in these headphones, you can't tell how much battery is left on the case. Seems like a huge oversight on Sony's part.

But I tried every single ear tip that came with it and I could not find a comfortable fit. They were awkward in my ears. The touch controls were also not as easy as I would have liked. They sounded pretty good. I don't think they were as great as all the reviews said, but thats just an opinion. I have WH1000XM3's that I love as well, so I have nothing against Sony.

I was afraid that sound would be compromised in the effort to provide the noise cancelling but I was pleasantly surprised! Sound is great, noise cancelling is good,(for obvious reasons not as great as traditional over the ear headphones) and the app is allows great personalization.

The sound quality is great however it lacks low end, and has limited noise cancellation when compared to other buds/headphones. The reason I’m giving this a 3 star is primarily do to the connection issues with my IPhone 11 Pro Max. Although I cannot confirm it seems as though it’s geared towards android devices.

The communication between the devices will be poor if there is an obstruction between the unit and the connected device. Try the following:
For Bluetooth connection issue: The WF-1000XM3 has a new Bluetooth chip and an optimized antenna design to provide a stable connection for hours of wireless streaming. To ensure you get the best Bluetooth connection, please set the headphones Bluetooth Connection Mode to “Priority on stable connection”.
-Change the position or location of the unit or connected device.
-If the connected device has a cover on it, take it off to improve the communication distance.
-If the connected device is in a bag or in a pocket, try moving the position of the device.
-Place the devices closer together to improve signal transmission
If the issue still occurs, please make sure that your headphones are running on the latest firmware version. The software includes key features, applications, bug fixes, and feature improvements.

You can almost hear NOTHING when you turn on the "noise cancelling" setting. It doesn't do so well with high-frequency noises (like dishes clinging together), so cafe aren't always the best place to use them. They work like a charm in almost every other place though!
