The Sony’s are a big jump from the original wf1000x and they got the sound much much better. They are still not perfect but if you get them for $199, then they’re a much better buy.

They are sensitive to your body temp. and when not wearing them, they automatically turn off. As soon as you pick them or your skin touches them they come on. Touch pad button.

These consult disconnect so don’t think of using them for work calls or anything important. Within a year, one of the headphones won’t charge anymore.

Long Lasting battery

These are my first pair of bluetooth headphones and I LOVE them. Very good bass and crisp treble...I just wish they played back a little louder maybe 25% louder but other then that no complaints at all. 5 stars for me.

I have the Bose, it is wired but incredible. I tried the new apple airpods, but they are not noise canceling. Sony’s were better than apple but a little bulky and I really dislike the voice notifications that tell when you are connected and when you are not. I returned them.

Beware iOS users...

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This issue has been reported on the Sony subreddit with users who own the iPhone XS, XS Max, iPhone XR, and iPhone 8/8+. During music streaming, the quality will drop for a few seconds until it goes back to normal. It's extremely apparent and happens a couple of times during a song. I've changed multiple settings on the Sony app, but nothing fixes it. Upon research, it seems like the bluetooth encoding that happens on the software/hardware side of these earphones is much more stable on Android phones than on newer iPhones (go on the Sony subreddit to learn more about AAC vs SBC encoding). Sony is expected to drop a software update for this product in the next 2 weeks, but there has been no response from Sony as of yet regarding this issue. If this software update doesn't fix it, I'm going to have to look at other options that provide stable connections on iOS. If you're an Android user, these are amazing earphones.
