Major issues despite decent quality sound

But the technical issues are hard to ignore. The battery for each bud will drain at different rates. The playback cuts out randomly for a second or more sometimes, especially when moving. I had battery issues with the WF 1000XM4’s and got a full refund. When I ran into similar issues with this unit, Sony only offered me a replacement. If you have an iPhone, just get AirPod Pros. I am so disappointed with these that it made me consider returning my WH 1000 XM4s so I can escape Sony’s ecosystem, but I will hold off on that while they still work. For this price point, Sony should have done better.

That to me is a little irritating... but other than that these are superb earbuds if you can look past that problem

Worth the money

These are lighter and less bulky. Better and deeper bass with these. I like the fact that you can really crank up the volume level with these unlike other brands that only go as loud as your bluetooth volume will go.

I got these because I loved the noise canceling on the 4’s and was looking forward to the upgrades and smaller design. These headphones sound great but I give 2 stars because they won’t stop connecting to my phone when I’m not using them. They’re in my backpack in another room and they connect to my phone. They’ll be in my pocket (in the case of course) and they’ll connect to my phone. It is so annoying that I really just want to get a different pair of headphones. I’m at the point where I don’t care how good they are, they won’t stop pairing when they’re in the case. The XM4’s have done it a handful of times but these. ALL THE TIME!!!! I am so frustrated with these.

For optimum performance, make sure that the software version of the headphones is up-to-date (via the Sony Headphones Connect app). Check that both earbuds are placed correctly on the charging case. Each headset unit will be set to the correct position in the charging case by the built-in magnet. Resetting and initializing the headset may also help resolve those issues. Quality for a price

Great noise canceling, good mids and highs and the lows are fine. The only thing that would make me want to recommend these more would be if they were waterproof as this was a replacement for the pair I took with me into the pool.

Good quality headphones, but not worth the price

But at the end of the day, they are headphones and bonus features can only add so much. For $100 less, there are headphones with similar sound quality and less connectivity problems. These would be 5 star headphones at $130 dollars, but they don’t give enough of a noticeable quality increase to be 5 stars at $230.
