I've also had a little issue with the right side bud cutting out periodically for a note or two. I'll be taking them back to address that as I did buy the protection plan.

I have the M5s and these fit and sound music wise very similar. I like the shape of these better because it's easier to get them into my ears than before. I can't tell if the noise cancelling is much better than the 5s but it is good. Call quality is good. The case is a bit bigger and doesn't fit in my pocket as comfortably as the 5s. But the case feels better quality and more sturdy than the 5s. Overall love these earbuds.

Sound is very consumer friendly. Only downside is that the codec seems to bug out. It sounds as if both earbuds are out of sync. This is fixable by changing codecs in the settings. But its something you shouldnt need to do. Hope it gets fix in an update.

The noise cancellation is outstanding — Sony claims it's their best ever, and it really feels like it. The combination of the new QN3e processor, eight microphones, and memory foam tips creates a deep, immersive silence that blocks out low rumbles (trains, plane engines, traffic) far better than my previous XM5s. Transparency mode is equally impressive — natural and clear, so you can have quick conversations without removing the buds. Sound quality is fantastic right out of the box: rich, dynamic bass that's punchy but controlled, crisp mids, and detailed highs without any harshness. Whether I'm listening to hip-hop, electronic, rock, or podcasts, everything sounds refined and enjoyable. The 10-band EQ in the Sony Headphones app lets you fine-tune it perfectly to your taste, and features like DSEE Extreme do a great job upscaling streaming audio. LDAC support on Android is a nice bonus for high-res listening.

While the XM4 were a little large and the XM5 were smaller, they didn't fit me perfectly. But the XM6 are just the right size for me, and I use a bigger earbud tip on my right ear. The sound through the XM6 is so much fuller and richer with deep bass that almost seems real. These are the best version yet for both fit and feel as well as sound quality. I only wish I didn't have to spend the $$$ for the other 2 versions.

XM6's are much better than the XM5's

They were always difficult to handle due the slippery piano black on the sides. The XM6's I got to replace them are so much easier to handle, they fit better to the shape of my ear, and they sound much, much better. The noise cancelling also works far better. I still have a hard time getting a good seal in my left ear, but that seems to be the case with any ear buds I try, even after I ordered the extra set of tips with more sizes. Just a quirk of my ear canal shape, I guess.

However, the fit for me personally isnt the best. My ears have never done good with foam eartips and these aren’t any different. Other than that, the best earbuds i have had.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I liked them, but honestly there isn’t a whole lot of upgrade from the previous version, and I’d say that they are sort of a downgrade in practicality since the new charging case is way bigger than the previous one and bigger than other earbuds out there, also I was expecting Sony to finally add a tracking function like the AirPods but it’s lacking that too… and honestly for the price you can get yourself the AirPods Pro 3 and get more features while saving money, plus the sound quality is like 5 to 10% better than the AirPods Pro 3, not worth the price. I’d still recommend this if you’re an android user but if not then go with the pros 3

Great buds but….

The XM6 buds have that great sound and excellent ANC however they are less comfortable to wear IMO. I have tried several different tips but I still have trouble wearing them for extended periods. Also. The app for the 6s is slightly different with regard to EQ. I like the EQ adjustments available in the app for the 5s. Both use the same app but the EQ changes based on which bud you are using. The 6s have great sound and really excellent ANC but I think I enjoy using the 5s more due to comfort. The tips on both take getting used to too. You might want to look into different tips.

I bought these to replace a pair of Samsung buds pro 2 that were murdered in the laundry, and I could not be happier with the replacement. My only complaints are that sometimes when listening with just one bud in and the putting the second in, there can be a desync between them that causes an echo type of effect. The other issue I have is that when listening with only the left bud, you lose the ability to pause by touching the earbud. You can only pause on the right earbud.

From the fit to anc and the options in the app compared to other brand earbuds. They are stylish and being matted instead of glossy is a big plus. I dont see how other reviews are saying the fit is bad or saying anything bad about these earbuds, only thing i can see is they are fan boys of another brand an just trying to review bomb. Sony on another level compared to other brands. If any Cons is the Battery life (I would like to see a 12hr with anc someday), Further wireless distance from source and Price is a bit expensive... But you get what you pay for an they are the best buds out there.

Clearer and boomier sound. My primary use is while cycling and I require buds that will lessen or eliminate wind noise. These greatly lessen noise when I am going faster than 20MPH and no noise was noticed when less than 20. These are easier to remove from and return to the charging case. The matte finish provide be better grip for someone with perpetually dry hands like myself. The tips are identical to those provided with the XM5s and I found those quite comfortable. Time and use will tell if the battery life claims are achieved. Also purchased in silver since my rides are often longer than the stated battery life.
