Fantastic earbuds, pleasurable experience
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These Sony WF-C700N earbuds have been a very pleasurable experience the past few days. Music, podacsts, movies, and games all sound fantastic on these earbuds. Setup was very easy. When pulling the earbuds out of the charging case, my S22 Ultra automatically asked if I wanted to pair with them. I then downloaded the Sony Headphone app, performed a firmware update, and I was off and running. In the app you have to ability to customize sound and buttons to your liking. So far I haven't messed with the EQ at all. These earbuds have a great snappy sound out of the box. They also have excellent noise canceling. One of the best at it that I have tried lately. I work at an automotive production plant, and it's very noisy, so noise canceling is very important to me. The WF-C700N's are also very light and comfortable in my ears. I wear them all day at work with no fatigue. I have fairly large ear holes, and with the large tips, they fit my big ear very well. Battery last all day at work. I generally get two 8 hour work days out these earbuds before I have to charge them. I have noticed that the left earbud has a small bump/petrussion on the top to easily identify the bud from the right side without having to look. I have a lot of earbuds, but these are my current dailies. I'm very happy with them. Likes: 1.) Sound great 2.) Comfortable 3.) Plenty of volume Dislikes: 1.) Button are very sensitive, lots of accidental presses from adjusting earbuds 2.) Noise canceling pops sometimes with loud noises. 3.) Noise canceling is disabled during phone calls, and no option to change this.

Posted .Hi Kwilks3,
Thank you so much for this wonderful review of your WF-C700N Truly Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones! It's fantastic to hear these are great earbuds for listening to music, podcasts, movies, games, and more. We're glad that you are enjoying the amazing features, long-lasting battery life, excellent noise cancellation, audio quality, as well as you find it easy to setup and you are utilizing the different customizations and built-in equalizer on the Sony Headphones Connect app.
During a call on the headphones, the headphones' microphones pick up the ambient sound regardless of the Ambient Sound Control function setting. The Sidetone function's effect makes it easier to talk using the headphones and helps the headphone microphone pick up sounds and play your voice naturally. As a result, the noise canceling function works differently from when playing music.
Our WF-C700N noise canceling headphones, all-day comfort and immersive sound quality allow you to enjoy music anywhere. They have the Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) and Sony’s unique driver which reproduce your music with authentic vocals and powerful bass. With Wind Noise Reduction Structure, these headphones your voice clearly, even on a windy day. Thank you for your feedback and offering a wonderful rating on the product! -Jess

Posted .Hi MorganIndustries,
We regret to know that you're not having the best experience with your WF-C700N and you are having noise canceling issues with your headphones. We’d love to help you troubleshoot your problem. If the size of the earbud tips does not match the size of your ear canals or the headset is not worn properly in your ears, you may not obtain the correct sound qualities, noise canceling effects, or call performance. If any of this is the case, try the following.
- Change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ears. When changing the earbud tips, try the earbud tip sizes in order from the larger ones to the smaller ones. The most suitable size of the earbud tips for left and right ears may be different.
- Check that you are wearing the headset properly in your ears. Wear the headset so that the earbud tip is comfortably situated as deep in the ear canal as possible.
To make the most of the noise canceling function, turn off the Adaptive Sound Control, and try to turn on the noise canceling function manually when you need it. The noise canceling function is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices.

I purchased 2 sets (black/mint-green) so I could charge one while using the second pair. The battery runs out in less than 3 hours. One bud stopped working within weeks of buying. So I only have 3 working buds, which I rotate to have more bud life. Also, one of the charging cables doesn’t work anymore; therefore, not being able to charge both sets at the same time. Nice!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unboxing the earphones you find the unit with case that charges, USBC cable and extra ear pieces. The number of earpieces should ensure a fit for just about everyone. My unit was in a mint grey which was neutral. The earphones were unassuming, and simple. The charging case was as well, with minimal needs. Earphones are held in place with magnets and they seemed just right. Not too strong or weak as with some cases. Charging seemed quick and uneventful. In the box was a picture instruction with QR code to scan. Set up and pairing was super easy, including taking you to the app which includes controls for the earphones, update info, and as expected Sony product information. I do like that there are software updates and relatively easy to install. Sound quality is excellent. Sound is clear and precise. Bass is not excessive and clean. Volume is good and can be adjusted to individual preference. Each earphone has controls and fit nicely in my ears. No feeling of falling out, or loose fit. Battery life seems excellent and as mentioned before, charging was easy and quick.

Posted .Hi, RaudelS,
Thanks for the review. We are sorry for the inconveniences with your Sony In-Ear Headphones. We will be more than glad to help you with this situation with a few troubleshooting steps that might come helpful.
1. Make sure to use the right earbud tip size.
If the size of the earbud tips does not match the size of your ear canals or the headset is not worn properly in your ears, you may not obtain the correct sound qualities.
2. Initialize the headset, and pair the headset and the device again.
3. When you use the headset while you are walking or running, the sound of vibrations may be heard through your body, but this is due to the characteristics of the product and not a malfunction.
We recommend giving it a try, and in case they do not make any difference, feel free to reach us at https://us.esupport.sony.com/support/s/support-contact?language=en_US&category=headphones for further assistance.
Thanks for considering Sony products, have a great day.

Posted .Hi Worst,
Thank you for your honest review of the Sony WF-C700N earbuds. We value your feedback regarding the lightweight design and the visibility issues that led to their quick loss. It is understandably frustrating that tracking options are unavailable and that replacement cases cannot be obtained, particularly given the shortcomings of the protection plan. Unfortunately, the WF-C700N earbuds and charging case cannot be purchased separately. For your reference, visit the link below.

Posted .Hi TamH, we're so sorry to hear you've had such a frustrating experience with your Sony WF-C700N headphones after only a week. It's definitely not what we want for our customers, and we understand how disappointing it must be when headphones don't stay securely in your ears, especially when you're active.
It sounds like you've already tried adjusting the ear tips, and we apologize that this made the fit even worse. Finding the right ear tip size is crucial for both comfort and sound quality, and we want to help you get that sorted.
To ensure you get the best possible fit and performance from your WF-C700N headphones, we recommend trying a few things:
Experiment with all the included ear tip sizes: Sometimes a size you wouldn't expect might provide the most secure fit. Try mixing and matching if one ear feels different from the other.
Twist-lock motion: When inserting the headphones, gently twist them into your ear canal until they feel snug and stable.
Check out our fitting guide: We have some visual guides and tips on our support website that might offer additional insights into achieving a secure fit.
If you've tried these suggestions and are still having trouble, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer support team directly. We'd be happy to troubleshoot further with you, explore warranty options, or discuss other solutions to ensure you have a positive experience with your Sony products.
We appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve and thank you for taking the time to review and choose our Sony headphones.
Best regards,
Gus

Good Distortion-Free Sound for The Price Point
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, these Sony headphones produce good quality sound. Most impressive is the lack of distortion when turning up the volume. I have other entry-level wireless earbuds from other brands and distortion is an issue. So it’s rare to get this kind of quality in an entry-level speaker. The overall sound is very good. The medium and highs are clear, and the lows are present; they’re not overwhelming, but improve greatly when the earbud is properly sealed into the ear. I like how Sony suggests starting the fitting process with the largest silicon earplug, then working your way down if needed. I’ve found that a tight seal with my ear produced a better sound. In addition, a tight fit helped them stay in longer. Another positive is how light they are; they are only 4.53 grams per earbud. After a while, I didn’t notice them in my ears. I think the light weight will help my 11-year-old son get used to them since these are going to be his primary headphones. For reference, his ears are on the smaller side, and we found that the smallest silicon plug barely fit his ears. He was able to get them to fit eventually, after some trial and error. When using the earbuds for phone calls, the mic quality was good. I could clearly hear my son when he was using them to call me. The Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) feature on these earbuds is basic. However, they do reduce the surrounding noise to a comfortable level. It’s nothing like Sony’s higher-end headphones, but those cost 2 to 3 times more than this entry-level model. All ANC headphones have a sound pass-through feature, otherwise know as Ambient Sound or transparency mode. I would also describe the headphone’s transparency feature as basic. To enable sound to pass through the headphones, for example, when someone starts talking to you while you’re listening to music, you simply need to press the button on the left earbud. This will allow you to hear them as they talk to you, but you will also hear a lot of surrounding noise. Again, Sony’s higher-end headphones provide a clearer sound, but for this price point, the feature works as it should. A couple of points worth mentioning, these headphones only use the SBC and AAC Bluetooth codecs. They do not support LDAC. But considering these are basic headphones, the need to support LDAC isn’t necessary. Also, one of the first things to do when you bring these earbuds home is to download the Sony app to update the firmware. I noticed a difference in sound and loudness after updating the firmware. Plus, updating enables the multipoint connection feature. This is useful for when you want to have your headphones connected to your phone and computer at the same time. Overall, this is a solid entry-level wireless headphone. Sony products usually cost slightly more than their competitors, but I find their products are well made with solid technology. And it’s nice to see the company’s effort in going green. Every piece of the packaging is made from paper and is easily recyclable.

Posted .Hi Dorkhead2!
Thank you for this positive review of your new WF-C700N. We're glad to hear you're having an enjoyable listening experience on this great WF-C700N and it delivers great highs and mids, and incredible audio quality without distortion, even at a high volume. Your assessment is spot on. For the proper sound quality, noise canceling function, and call sound quality to be effective, the size of the earbud tips should match the size of your ear canals and check that you are wearing the headset properly in your ears. Moreover, good to know you noticed a difference in sound and loudness after updating the firmware. The firmware update (Version 2.0.0) adds a method to adjust the volume while playing music and ability to simultaneously connect to 2 devices.
We hope you enjoy the WF-C700N, not only as noise canceling music listening devices, but as communication tools. Our WF-C700N noise canceling headphones, all-day comfort and immersive sound quality allow you to enjoy music anywhere. Great Earbuds!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sony WF-C700n earbuds have surprised me in the best way possible. As someone who wasn’t a fan of my previous pair, the Beats Flex, I didn’t have high expectations. The Beats Flex had a significant flaw for me: I often use just one earbud, and the magnetic ends would catch on objects while I was working, which became frustrating. **Pros:** - **Sound Quality:** The sound quality on the WF-C700n is outstanding, with punchy bass that really enhances the listening experience. - **Active Noise Cancellation (ANC):** The ANC feature is impressive, effectively blocking out background noise. - **Transparency Mode:** Transparency mode is even better, allowing me to stay aware of my surroundings when needed. - **Value for Money:** These earbuds are packed with features, especially considering the price point. I got them on sale, making them an excellent deal. - **App Integration:** Downloading the app is essential as it fully unlocks the earbuds' potential, offering more customization and control. - **Fit and Comfort:** One of the biggest advantages is the secure fit. The earbuds stay in my ears, even when I’m working, and are so comfortable that I sometimes forget they’re there. **Cons:** - **Automatic Mode Switching:** The automatic switching between ANC and transparency mode tends to favor ANC too heavily, which can be a bit annoying. - **Charging Case Quality:** The case feels somewhat cheap and isn’t particularly impressive, although it does serve its purpose. Overall, the Sony WF-C700n earbuds are fantastic, and I would recommend them without hesitation. They have addressed my biggest concerns with previous earbuds, especially with their secure fit and comfort. Despite a few minor drawbacks, they offer exceptional value and performance.

Posted .Hi DG01,
Thank you for your time writing this review. We're sorry to hear that you returned the WFC700N because it didn't fit securely into your ears. This In-ear headphones come with different sizes of earbud tips to ensure there is a great fit for all ear sizes. When wearing them, we suggest to use the right size according to the size of your ears and gently pull on the top of your ear as you twist the headset unit to slide the earbud tip deep into your ear canal. This should give you a firmer hold. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that you will consider Sony again on your future purchases. Thanks again for shopping Sony. - Kris
