I thought that for the price this would be great purchase. First of all the charge box is uncomfortable, cheap, and slippery. They’re also very uncomfortable in the ears. I went a whole day trying to pair them to my Bluetooth to no avail. I returned them the next day and purchased the AirPods Pro.

First off, the look of these is not the best. But that is the only thing I could find that would require a star loss. They sound great! The 3 noise cancelling modes are genius. Turn it off completely, set to ambient mode to hear your surroundings or engage it all the way to mute out all the chaos. The bass is extra as described but this can be adjusted with Sony's app. I personally like the bass so I left them as is. They include a case that is also a charger and holds plenty of juice to keep them recharged. Also includes charging cable and 3 sizes of silicon inserts for a tight fitment for most ears. I put these through a high intensity work out, between the sweat and all the jarring they stayed put and asked for more. So they sound great, are easy to use and take a beating. If you can handle the look then pull the trigger, these really are great headphones for the money with all the options they have.

I liked the presentation of these and being Sony I thought they could be a good thing. Ended up returning them. Phone calls only played through one side. Music plays through both. Very awkward to get them back into the case and charging of you have big fingers. Overall didn’t like them and took them back.

I was eagerly anticipating the arrival of my new Sony WF-SP700N Noise Cancelling earbuds before a 3 week trip to Europe, where I could properly test out their noise cancelling capabilities. Unfortunately, I received my headphones just before I returned from that trip, so I haven’t had time to properly test them in a noisy jet environment. I was able to simulate loud, continuous noises I think are similar in my shop, using a combination of a dust collection system, while also having a radio playing in the background. More on the results later. The case is also a charger with battery for the buds. It is of a reasonable size, but too large to put into most pockets. My buds came with only a little charge, so the first thing I did was plug the charger into a USB port (cable micro USB cable included), and installed the buds into the charger. The charger has labels to say which bud goes where, as do the buds themselves. R goes to R, L to L. No brainer, although you sort of have to wiggle the buds to get them in, as the ear thingy looks to be in the way, but just keep wiggling and they fit great. The charger also charges the buds when not connected to USB. Battery life looks real good so far. The fit and finish of these earbuds is excellent. The looks are what they are, foreign objects sticking out of your ears, but these look no worse than most, and better than many. They fit my ears perfectly right out of the box, and although there are several other ear cushions and another set of rubbery ear thingies of a different style, I haven’t needed to even try them out. It was awkward inserting the buds into my ears at first, but once I got the proper rotation of the bud into the ear, the rubbery thing slide right into the slot in your ear. Once they were inserted properly, they were the most comfortable set of buds I have yet worn. They also are not easily removed, a nice feature that keeps them in place. I haven’t tried any real strenuous activity like running, but working in the yard and such has shown excellent comfort and the tendency to stay in place and not fall out. Connecting the buds to my iPhone was a bit tricky at first, as the buds are powered on when removed from the charger. To start the pairing process, you need to press the button on the LEFT bud for about 7 seconds, but after a few seconds, you are audio prompted that the buds have “Powered Off”. Keep holding the button and in a few more seconds the pairing message is audio prompted and you can pair to your phone. However, the Power Off actually powers off the RIGHT bud, so you have to press the button on the RIGHT bud to power it back on. Once paired, reconnects are fast and automatic. Switching between devices is a little tricky because of this quirk, but it's not too bad. The range to my phone was very good, at least 30 feet. I never got a dropout or stutter. Other buds I have tried will often have drop offs while moving around. The app that you install on your phone allows you to adjust the sound parameters of the buds. These include an 5 band equalizer with 8 presets and off, plus a setting for Priority on Sound Quality or Priority on Stable Connection. These buds are also capable of answering calls, but I have not had opportunity to try that feature at all. Now for the unscientific results of the noise cancelling features. There is a definite difference in the three settings, Noise Canceling (On), Voice Mode, and Normal Mode (Off). In Off Mode, the only reduction in any noise is minimal, as expected. When the Voice Mode is activated, the voices on the radio come through well, but sound tinny when no music is playing on the buds. This is due to the lower harmonics being cut off, I imagine. When Noise Canceling is activated, the voices almost disappear under music, but are still clear with silence. With the dust collector also running, Off did almost nothing, as expected. Voice mode let the radio voices come through the music and the dust collector. Noise Canceling still allowed some of the voices through but reduced the collector drastically. I could reduce the volume of my music to a lower level and still hear it. I was impressed. Now to test them on my next flight.

I'm a Sony fan, but these earbuds sound terrible. uncomfortable in my ear, and the latency of the sound to your ear does not keep up with the lips when I'm watching a movie on my computer. Got this on sale and now I'm stuck with it. I did want to like them, but it was a dud.

I had previously tried an earlier pair of sony "truly wireless" noise canceling earbuds and find these to be an improvement. That being said, Sony is still getting bested at battery life, but they're learning. Pros: Truly wireless Physical button for controls on both phones Small size Nice fit Active noise canceling Included charging pod Sweatproof Cons: 3 Hour battery life Difficult to get placed in charging pod Poor low range Not waterproof Charging pod does not indicate level, only charged or not Sony brings their formidable active noise canceling engine to play here, and that part of these phones works well. I thought they fit me well and stayed in during activities. I wish we could forgo this whole sweatproofing in lieu of actually waterproofing things, but that remains to be seen. One major source of frustration for me was the inability to get these things seated correctly in the pod to charge consistently I had troubles. I did not, however, experience any of the delays complained about by others using these phones. Overall, these are a decent effort, and priced okay. They compete fairly directly with a Bose product that I still consider the benchmark for noise canceling. The truly wireless made me nervous at first and then I learned to enjoy it once I realized I wasn't going to lose one side.

Wireless headphones are awesome. You can't hear what's going on around you, when you are listening to your music. Also you can only use one piece of the wireless headphones if wanted to.

I had to return the earbuds as I had them for less than 14 days. In trying to pair them with my MAC, they paired ok, but the audio was coming in and out of both buds at the same time. Plus the voice was behind the audio. I tried pairing them several times with the results being the same.

Great sound quality as expected for the price however a small issue using them with my iPhone. There is a sound delay if you are watching video or playing music but it’s especially noticeable when watching any video, apparently it’s a know issue with these Sony wireless buds.

One of the best earsets I've used, 1 big issue

I really wanted to give this set 5 stars and I'll maybe settle at 4.5, but there is one big issue with it. This headset hits all the marks flawlessly except for some serious lag issues with almost every NON-music use. Videos, laptop notifications, "trash emptying" sounds, all seem to lag. Video lag is by far the worst I've ever experienced in any bluetooth set (even some really cheap $10 sets don't lag like this). Sony has done some great work in the headset/earbud market of late and I am very disappointed at this oversight. However, I must still recommend this set because literally everything else is designed and performs exceptionally. Pros: Sound Look and feel FIt Battery life Charging case Ease of Use Noise Cancelling Ambient Noise feature I have the silver/grey set which look nice and sleek for the active user, but I would prefer white or black for a more upscale commuter look. These earbuds fit perfectly into my ear right of the box and are super comfortable for long term wear. I regularly have them in for 3+ hours just for the noise cancelling feature alone. I've been using these for the majority of my 12 hour day, mixing it up with straight noise-cancelling and audio use. The noise cancelling is not the best ever, but I think it's the best on the market from a set of ear buds. Very happy with the noise isolation I'm able to receive, however in louder environments there is more to be desired. I'm very pleased with the sound quality as well. Downloading the associated app is unfortunately a must for too many products these days, but it allows for some extra control over the features. The sound balance is spot-on. I do feel the bass could come through more. However, the bass is not mottled or over-powering and I think most audio enthusiasts should be happy. I listened to a variety of genres with varying degrees of sound quality and this set was impressive throughout. The vocals were the star of all the songs. Charging case is super convenient and makes is really easy to keep the buds charged up. Battery life is good and will definitely get through a full day of use but you'd need to charge them relatively often. These are earbuds so you have to expect this. Really pleased with how great these fit in my ears and stay in. Using them for workouts has also been really nice. They stay in place and keep sweat out of the ears. Sony's ambient noise feature has always been a favorite of mine and it comes in handy more often than you'd realize. I especially enjoy it when I fly. Cons: Lag As mentioned earlier, I have experienced serious audio lag during non-music use. I've tried to adjust some source settings to fix this but that was to no avail. I don't know if an update can fix this, but hopefully Sony will address this. This is a huge problem for me and a big oversight by Sony. I still recommend these earphones, but I would consider holding off until this is solved (if ever).
