I didn’t like these ear pods. The sound wasn’t great and ear pods didn’t automatically connect like apple air pods. You have to go into Sony app and connect them each time you use them. I returned them and just got Apple air pods.

Among other things noise canceling in these headphones is very poor. Also Bluetooth connectivity is very unstable. I’m very disappointed at the poor quality of the headphones

Great Sound- Noise Cancelling, not so great

After using these earbuds for several days I’ve decided I really like them. They are easy to pair, have very good range, and are very comfortable in the ears. But as noise cancelling earbuds, they really miss the mark. I’ve used 2 other noise cancelling earbuds that did a terrific job, the noise cancelling function on these earbuds is just not very good. When noise cancelling is activated, there is no noticeable change and ambient sounds are not quieted down. On the other hand, the ambient feature works fantastic, ambient noise is amplified as it should be. Thes earbuds come with a charging case which really works great and keeps these buds charged for most of the day. The included documentation states the charger will charge the earbuds 3 times, and it does. Actually it allowed me to use the buds all day long by keeping them charged up. The included rubber ear inserts keep these buds securely in your ears, and remain comfortable throughout the day. If noise cancelling is your main reason for getting these earbuds, look elsewhere. If noise cancelling is not a priority and you want quality sound, these are a good choice. Unfortunately, because the noise cancelling feature does not function well, I cannot recommend these earbuds.

These are some fantastic wireless buds

I`ll be honest here, I wasn't expecting much from these. I dont know why but I just had a feeling of hype over substance. That will teach me to preempt a product because these things are fantastic. Unboxing is similar to other Sony Products in this line, minimal and what you need. Aside from the warranty leaflet and quick start guide, you also get the USB cable, extra tips, the case and the buds themselves. As mentioned above, minimal but exactly what you need. So these are true wireless earbuds, no wire to connect each bud, just simply two in ear monitors that come in a carry case that also charges the buds when not in use. Build quality on the earbuds in quite good, no flexing or creaks, seem really solid and are also very comfortable to wear. I dont get any ear fatigue wearing these. I wear them for a couple of hours at a time and they are so light i hardly notice them. The charge case they come with on the other hand feels somewhat flimsy. The main problem with this plastic case is the swivel lid, it feels very thin and would be quite easy to break. Maybe a flip top and hinge system would have been better for durability. This doesnt stop the case from doing its job though as it protects your buds and charges them at the same time. Talking of charging, Sony are still using the ancient Micro USB which is a negative for me. As everything is now going USB C including Sony's own cell phones. Its about time we had everything being produced with USB C. One cable for all. The buds hold charge for around 3 hours with ANC enabled and i would imagine a lot longer with that turned off. As mentioned i use them for a couple of hours at a time and have zero issues with life. they also charge pretty fast which is nice. The case allows you to charge the buds around 3 times holding around 9 hours of charge. Now the best bit, the sound on these is fantastic. With a quick adjustment in the EQ i get some seriously great audio with nice highs, great low end and non muddy mids. These are the best wireless buds I've listened to and its a pure enjoyment listening to all types of music. As these are also a part of the Extra Bass family you will find that these work exceptionally well with Hip Hop, R'n'B, Dance music and things of that ilk thanks the the great lows on these. On the right earbud you press and hold and the bring us the Google Assistant, taping this button also allows play/pause. Calls are received through only one bud being the left which takes some getting used too, but calls do come through clear and the people on the other end hear me without issue. The left bud contains the power button which also allows control of the ANC/Ambient noise. Overall i love these, I'm super surprised at how well they sound. I'm wearing them right now while i type this up. They fit great, dont fall out, very light weight and extremely comfortable.Negatives being Micro USB, one bud calls and flimsy lid on the case. Would i recommend them... 100%

I thought that it would be great in every aspect, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case because of poor sound quality, slow synchronization during song changes, and not stable on ear.

Good Sound, Wish Battery Life was Longer

I read the directions and the headphones instantly connected both left and right wireless buds to my Smartphone: something that some competing totally wireless buds were not able to do. The buds are clearly labeled "Left" and "Right," put them on and my music appeared. I opened the free Sony Headphones app on my phone and was able to tailor the equalization to my liking.and adjust the noise cancellation and volume (the buds don't have any way to adjust volume by themselves.) The cancellation feature doesn't come close to a pair of on-ear Bose headphones, but for tiny earbuds they work pretty well. My biggest disappointment was the battery life. On my last plane trip after about two hours I started getting warnings about low battery. The case will charge the phones two more times without connecting to an external power source, but it means that you won't be able to listen during that time. This would be fine if you're using these buds at the gym, it will easily last for an average workout, but if you're flying any distance you might be disappointed.

That pretty well sums it up. The primary objection I've previously had with earbuds is their stunning lack of low-frequency. That is not the case with these earbuds. They sound great, and are extremely comfortable to wear. You truly forget you have them on given their light weight and comfort. They come with a storage case that also serves as a "docking station" for charging. The case is about the size of a ring box, so you can easily put these in your business travel gear and reclaim space that was previously occupied by a pair of bulky headphones.

    Lightweight But Thin Sound

The True Wireless were easy to pair with my phone and PC. The left earbud is the main one, but I had to power on with separate switches to get sound from both the first time. Afterwards they just go off and come back on when you place or remove them from the storage/charging case. They can be used for music or phone calls, and the call quality was decent. There are a total of 4 sets of ear bud cushion attachments including the ones on the earbuds themselves. You get better bass when using the size that fits your ear canal the tightest. Here's where I was disappointed--the bass is something I like in music and it's lacking here. Most Sony audio products I have used or tested had great low range, not so much with the True Wireless. Overall the audio is clear and distinct though. And unlike some other truly wireless earbuds I have, these are light enough that once turned into your ear, they don't feel like they will fall out even with a lot of movement. So that's a plus for someone wanting them for use during exercise.

I recently tried an in-ear noice canceling wireless headphones with a neckband and I loved it. My preference for models with neckbands was only because I had never tried an in-year cordless type that stayed in place while working out. I've tried these Sony WF-SP700N earbuds for only a couple of days but I'm changing my mind about my preference. So far, they have kept in my ears and only popped out once because I had not placed one correctly. If they still keep in place after using them for a few weeks, I will never go back to neckband models. Although I have sensitive ears and can't stand this type of headphones in for more than a couple of hours, these are very light and comfortable when weight and fit is considered. After about 2.5 hours of non-stop use, my ears were still not hurting as they usually would have been by then. They are definitely more comfortable than Apple's and in my opinion, they look better too. Noice canceling is very good but not excelent. For true in-ear wireless headphones, though, it is way better than I would expect. For flying, I will keep using my on-ear Sony 1000XM2 but for walking or workouts, these are my new favorite. To me, sound quality is what matters the most with comfort being second. I was once again impressed with sound quality but there is a catch: out of the box, it is just good. If you are an audiophile like me, you will have to use the Sony app and play with the EQ settings to get the best sound. The downside is that it it seems that you can only use the preset options. There are a few but I wish I could tweak them to my linking. Still, most users will probably enjoy the default setting. I love how they turn on immediately after they are out of the charging box. Bluetooth is very stable and I have yet to experience any drops. The only complaint I have is that phone calls are mono, including Whatsapp. I don't understand why. That was very disappointing. Can this be fixed with software upgrade? I hope so. Voice is very clear but I prefer to hear it on both ears at the same time. Apart from the phone call mono issue, this is the best noise canceling earbuds I have ever tried.. Great sound quality, true wireless and extremely comfortable.

    Really Good Gym Headphones

Sony has jumped on the wireless headphone bandwagon with two different levels of wireless headphones, the 900s and these, the 700s. I have not tried the 900s so I am not privy to the difference between the two. The 700s come in a really small box with the charging case, a micro USB cable and several small manuals. I got them out of the plastic holder and tried to get them into their case which initially was a geometry lesson. I could not figure out how to get them into that case! They have a little "wing" that helps to stabilize them when in your ear and doesn't help when trying to get them into the case... Anyway, once I was able to get them in, they both lit up red for charging and I used the micro USB to charge the case. It initially took about 2 hours for the case to be fully charged out of the box. I then downloaded the Sony Headphones app to make sure everything was updated and controlled properly. The app allows different equalizer settings and to set other parameters with the 700s. I set it to off and paired the 700s with my phone. The phone paired easily and it downloaded a quick update. I got the 700s oriented properly for each ear (they are marked) and followed the guide on how to use them. Unlike other in-ears, these require you to put the in horizontally then twist them down to "seat" them in your ear. A little different, but it did work. As I went through some of my favorite songs, I was noticing a severe lack of bass in any song. I tried to readjust them, and used the app to try and bump the bass up, but to no avail. Knowing that a good seal is a must with in-ear headphones to get any bass, I found the larger earpieces in the accessories bag and replaced the ones that came on the 700s with larger ones, and boom... the bass was there! And I mean really there, to the point of now I'm trying to back it off a little. After several minutes of fiddling with the equalizer I was able to get a good, robust and clear sound from the 700s. These are not studio quality sounding headphones, just as the built in noise reduction capabilities are not to the level of higher end headphones are capable of, but they are great for the gym or short travel listening situations. Speaking of the noise cancelling, they block some sound just by their physical make-up, but do have 3 modes they can be in; noise canceling on, ambient sound on, and off. As I said, they block a lot of sound just by themselves, but with the noise cancelling on it does help some. Ambient noise mode just amplifies in your surroundings and off is... off. They seem pretty sturdy and aren't too bulky as some other wireless headphone types are. The charging case door seems rather flimsy but time will tell if this becomes an issue. These are good overall in ear wireless headphones, and work well in gym and short duration listening situations. If you like these type of headphones I tell you these are great. If you are looking for 12 hour flight noise cancelling or studio quality sound headphones you need to look elsewhere. Good Shopping!

I got these the other day and while I normally prefer over the ear head phones as ear buds just don't seem to sit well, these Sony Ear Buds do. They feel secure in my ear, I like the silicon hook feels secure in my ears. Now I'm not as active as some so I can't say for certain if you go on a vigorous run these won't fall out, but working in my garden and going for a walk with these at a moderate pace they didn't shake loose and felt comfortable the whole time. For such small devices the battery life is nice. Around three hours, and when you put the headphones in the case it will recharge it. I believe up to three additional times. It is not a quick charge, took around an hour or so for me it seemed, but its nice because I don't have to find a cord and plug it into the headphones, just the case and the case looks to provide easy carrying in workbag. Noise cancelling was fairly good, esp. if you consider the size of the headphones. Not as good as my over ear Sony headphones, but good enough for the office to take care of the whitenoise which is what I'd use them for and the three hour charge is good enough to get me through my day. The sound is good enough for me. I'm not a audiophile in the least, the music/podcasts/audiobooks I listen are clear and sound more then nice when I was using the earbuds. There is an app for the headphones which allow you to tune the sound, but honestly out of the box sounded fine. I'm sure other people who like more or less bass or other things can use the app to find a good sound profile to there liking. Overall these are a nice pair of ear buds, esp. if you are looking for something light to stay securely in your ear. I like these. Only thing I didn't test is how they work as a microphone for calls. Honestly I tend not to use headphone for this anyway. They have a nice look and Sony's sound with Noise cancelling in a small package that is easy to carry around and charge. If you are looking for a pair headphones in this form factor, I don't think you can go wrong.

One of the best fully wireless sets yet. Sound was clear and never disconnected. The noise canceling worked very well. Turned up midway was pleanty loud enough and was not bothered by the usual distractions. They are comfortable enough to wear through the full charge and remain securely in the ear. The buttons are small but easy to press which allowed track skipping easy. The only feature I wish these had was volume control. Overall these are a great pair of wireless earbuds for a workout.

I have given a few wireless headphones a try and these are my favorite to date! They check just about every box I am looking for in a set of blue tooth headphones. They have that Sony sound quality, with a fair amount of bass and minimal distortion. They pair easily, AND stay connected. They fit comfortably and stay in my ears regardless the activity. The battery life is solid at 3 hours (with a few more charges available via the case) and is long enough for all my uses. I also really like the case. Further, while I have not been able to test them for a long duration, the IPX4 rated splash proofing (for minor water and sweat protection) has been effective and is a nice safety blanket. Beyond all that, I have really come to appreciate the noise cancellation (and its modes), something I was both not expecting and surprised to see these had. Lastly, while I am waiting for an update, being able to use Google Assistant (my assistant of choice) is simply the icing on the cake. I will have to see how functional I find it, but it is a nice bonus. There are a couple of things I would like to see improved, such as a sync issue between video and sound when watching a video, being able to use custom equalizer settings, improved buttons, an upgrade to blue tooth 5 and USB-C, but, none of these are major issues for me and do not directly change my use of the headphones. Perhaps with an update in the 2019 models. Ultimately, these are fantastic true wireless buds. Great sound, well thought out design, comfortable and functional. Feature-rich and a great value for what you get and what you can do with them. These are a win.
