Not noise cancelling at all!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound is okay, but it should not be advertised as noise cancelling headphones. Also it's fitting is difficult to say the least

Excellent Earbuds with Good Noise Cancelling
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sony - WF-SP700N Sport True Wireless Noise Canceling Earbud Headphones are a very solid offering in this category. The sound was excellent with a great spatial effect. I used the headphones app to adjust the settings to my liking, which was key in getting just the right sound. They are surprisingly light and comfortable for their form factor and I had no problem putting them in and out of my ear. I also had no problems using Siri, controlling songs and receiving calls. The noise canceling feature worked well - better than I expected with earbuds. The ambient sound feature definitely brings outside sounds in via its mic. But I haven't been in a situation where I've needed to rely on that as opposed to simply stopping the music. Contrary to other reviews, I really don't have a problem with the controls. Probably because my expectations are low, I've yet to find a pair of wireless earbuds that don't have a learning curve attached to using their controls. There is voice confirmation of the left-ear options: noise canceling, ambient sound, off. One thing to watch, though, if you get a pair: Follow the initial pairing instructions closely. You need to take the left bud out of the case and pair it with your device before removing the right bud from the case. Then bring the right bud close to the left one for them to pair with each other. After that, they work as you would expect. All-in-all, these are an excellent pair of earbuds with great sound and good features.

Great if you can wear in-ear style headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First things first, the sound quality is fantastic. The audio is definitely on par with other Sony headphones products (I’ve also used the 1000MX over-ear headphones), which is comparable to Bose. There isn’t quite as much low-end to the audio, but the fact that it is comparable is amazing when you’re looking at in-ear vs. over-ear. Being wireless between the headphones: You’re probably used to using Bluetooth/wireless headphones by now, so you may be wondering what it matters to have each side be entirely wireless. Well, it is very liberating. I have a pair of Bose Sport headphones (in-ear, wire around the back of the neck), and you wouldn’t think that being totally wireless would really make a difference, but I find that it does. With nothing hanging on or from your ears, you just feel much freer to move. Noise-cancelling: If you can get a good fit with the ear-pieces, then noise cancelling is, again, comparable to other Sony products (1000MX). The trick is getting the ear-pieces to stay in the ear properly. I have never been able to use the in-ear style headphones without them falling out (particularly the right side). These were better than any other that I have tried, in that the left stayed firmly in place, but the right still shifted with just a few steps, breaking the seal and stopping the noise-cancelling from having any actual effect. If you can wear in-ear headphones, the noise-cancelling will work great for you. Battery: Given that I can’t keep them in my ears for very long, I can’t comment on their overall battery life. However, Sony has been fairly truthful in their presentation of battery life on every other pair that I’ve tried of their headphones (1000MX v1 and v2, another that was listed with ~35 hours of battery life). I only removed one star due to my own issues with fitting this style of headphone into my ear.

Great Sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I go back and forth using over ear headphones and in-ear buds. I typically like the sound better on the overear headphones. I like the weight better on the earbuds. But one reason I tend to use overear more is when I'm wearing at work, people can't tell that you're wearing them and they keep talking and wonder why you're not responding. Throw in a noise canceling feature and it gets ten times harder to get your attention. Of course, if you're trying to just ignore what's going on in a meeting... the earbuds are definitely the way to go. With these earbuds, I can no longer use the excuse that the overear headphones sound better. These earbuds are on par if not better than many of the headphones I've tried. About equal for the price point. You'll love the sound quality whether listening to your favorite pop music, heavy metal rage, classical concerto, and even high def movies. Do be sure not to turn up the volume too loud though, not because it will sound bad, more to protect your hearing. Overall, great sound all around.

excellent sound, and fit well too!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've tried several stereo wireless bt headphones, and most either disconnected all the time, or the sound was poor; these guys are the real deal! Excellent sound, pair easy, and stay paired, and fit well in both ears! If you are looking for a top notch, fairly priced set of wireless stereo headphones, these are definitely worth a shot!

Compact!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I give these 4.5 stars. They are really compact which is a nice feature. They stayed in my ears very well and the connection was very stable. Perfect for working out and going for a jog. They do a nice job at noise cancelling as well as phone calls. Very clear and the other person could hear me clearly as well. The sound is crisp but the bass wasn't the best I've heard. Portability is really the best feature of these.
