Excellent Sound and Comfort
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In the box you receive a charging case, arc Supporter(M/L), hybrid Earbuds Long (ear molds sizes SS/S/M/L), and a micro USB cable. There is also an app available to download to enhance your experience. Fit - They're super comfortable and light weight. I've been wearing them for about four hours now, and they have become part of me . Sound - The sound quality is 4 out 5 , with the call quality being 5 out of 5. The portable charging system is small enough to hang out comfortably in your pocket or backpack all day . Battery - Where it comes to charge times, it takes about a hour to get a full charge on the ear buds, and 3 hours on the portable charger, which gives you about 3 full charges. Noise cancelling - The noise canceling function is great here to. You can block out the world or choose to let voices through, with a push of a button or via the app. All in all, I would definitely purchase these headphones again!

Not enough boom for buck
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sony WF-SP700N Sport earbuds are competitively priced against AirPods but not for quality (surprisingly). It's not entirely about sound but the whole listening experience and comfortableness. The idea is good but not the execution. With a price-mark down these will probably be a hit as a nice alternative. There really isn't anything to complain about that isn't unreasonable. Yes, the battery life doesn't last very long but it will last long enough for a work out or sporting activity. They look decent but I'm not a big fan of the color scheme and its inspiration, and it looks like you're wearing bean pods on each ear. It doesn't have a signature look (I know this may not matter to people but at this price point it should). Also, to advertise the product as truly noise-cancelling, I would expect this to be the case. But living in a really windy area, I can hear the wind which I'm not surprised by. But when I tried making a call with it, the end user said they can hear a lot of the background more than me, which I found problematic and ended up just disconnecting and talking from my iPhone directly.

Audio Video Sync Problem
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are slightly larger than their sibling the SP600N. However these buds come with a carrying case that is also their charging berth. This little charging unit also carries added hours of charging once it is also charged when you use it to charge up the buds. Another difference is that the WFSP700N buds do not have a wire connecting them, which is nice for me since I prefer not to have any wires dangling. The pairing, phone and noise cancelling functions really work great. These earbuds have a very solid feel and they do have the little ‘wing’ that is very comfortable and does indeed hold the earbuds firmly in place. Since they don’t have any wires there is a single button on each bud that provides the switching on/off, pairing, etc. The left bud provides the basic functions and the right bud provides the phone functions. The buds are clearly marked ‘R’ or ‘L’ which is nice since some earbuds make the designation hard to find. The sound is fantastic, I was impressed with the bass response especially. They are sealed quite well and you will have no problem with sweat or rain. They stayed put while jogging. Although the sound is great, there was a delay between the video and audio when watching YouTube movie clips or music videos. I tried on Desktop, Laptop and Android phone, all had the same problem. I checked my other wireless earbuds and they had no delay. I downloaded the ‘Support by Sony’ app to my Android cell phone and it found the ear buds so I checked for new firmware but it said no downloads available. Either my earbuds are defective or there is a design flaw. I can’t recommend these rather expensive earbuds. But you may like them if you don’t want to watch videos, and just hear music and other audio.

Huge Potential but Hugely Flawed
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These earphones have a huge amount of potential, but are let down by poor bluetooth performance. This may be an issue with my particular set, but as they operate now, they're largely unusable, especially when trying to watch videos. To start, the sound quality is frankly great. Sony has EQed these to have a good amount of bass (much more than any other wireless earbuds I've tried), and to my ears, these sound really good. Also, the fit of these is really good as well. They have a number of different sized fitments that you can use to ensure they fit in your ears correctly, and for me, these fit great and stayed in my ears no matter what I was doing. The above strong points are completely undone by some critical flaws. To start, no matter the setting I used in the Sony app, there was a noticeable (AT LEAST half a second) delay in the sound, which means that watching videos with these is out of the question. In conjunction with the delay issue, the buds both had fairly regular audible pops, which leads me to believe that something is severely off with either the software or hardware. This, again, happened regardless of settings in the app. Sound cancellation ability of these buds is incredibly underwhelming as well in my experience. I didn't expect these to perform on par with a pair of over the ear phones, but enabling the noise cancellation feature resulted in very little difference in ambient sound (it should be noted that these passively block ambient noise pretty well). I also fairly frequently I had an issue where one of the earbuds wouldn't turn on when the other was turned on. This required an additional moment to turn the other bud on, and sometimes, took longer for them to sync and both broadcast audio. Finally, while I can appreciate a minimalist design, I feel that Sony should've included a couple more buttons to allow you to more thoroughly control the sound (or incorporate some of the touch gestures found in their excellent wh1000x headphones). I had huge expectations for these earbuds, as Sony's recent track record of delivering sound products with high quality and supreme sound quality speaks for itself. These, however, severely disappoint. My hope is that my issues noted above are the result of early release software and not some inherent hardware issue that can't be fixed with a subsequent firmware update.

Sony ear buds
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These things sound really good, they are comfortable and the battery life is not bad, if you aren’t at full volume they will last a few hours. I do wish there was an adjustment thru the app to fully customize the sound like an equalizer. My only complaint is a kind of big one. Theses things are not good for watching movies. The audio doesn’t stay synced with the video so they won’t work for that which makes zero sense. All other Bluetooth devices work fine for this. Maybe an update will fix this because I bought them to use for movies and videos. I use them now for working out and the do great for that.

I'm not sure what happened to Sony
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let's start with the good: These are BY FAR the most comfortable in-ear 'sports' headphones I have ever worn. They don't feel like they are constantly going to fall out (ahem, Apple) or become uncomfortable. Until you start using them. The bad: The design is silly. They look ridiculous both in and out of the ear. The buttons are hard to find and impossible to use. The case (and it's weird DeLorean like hinge) is cumbersome and impossible to store in a pocket. Both the case AND the buds feel flimsy. The terrible: I was unable to get a stable connection to my iPhone 7 plus. It would connect easily, but would often simply cut out. Here is something to know as well - I expect Bluetooth to cut out occasionally due to external influences. When this set cuts out, it does so from one ear to the other. The left one will stop, leaving the right one to play, and then they will swap the failure. This provides for a very dizzying experience. Having said all that, the sound on these units (when working) is pretty good. If you stay perfectly still and don't mind looking like you have chili beans coming out of your head, they do sound great.

Overall a great earphone
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just so you know, these are teen tested. They sound good and they connect well. They fit nicely in the ears. The charging is great as you just put them into the portable charging station to let them charge so there is no losing them if you put them in the charging station. They automatically turn on when you take them out of the station and turn off when you return them.. A feature I like is that you can turn off one of the headphones in one ear so you can use them where you still need to be able to hear what's going on, such as when jogging, etc. Of course, one downside is that teens will probably love them because they will try to use them in class. As both teen and I want these, so let the games begin!

Close to Perfect Workout Headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love Bluetooth headphones for working out, but it is a love hate relationship. Some headphones don't sound good, others seem to slide out of your ears, other have poor battery life, etc. I've used Beats, JLab, Sony offerings and Anker. After using these SP700N's I still can't say I've found the perfect pair, but man are these close. With my Bose Sport headphone\s, they tended to slide out of my ears when I got too sweaty, the JLab true wireless sport headphone had spotty connection and subpar sound. These Sony headphones are the first one to sound great and stick in my ear during an intense workout session or long run. What matters to me is fit of the headphone, strong connectivity, sound and battery life. These Sony headphones are a snug fit in the ear canal and the "hooks" help keep them in your ear canal. I found the snug fit to be a little odd at first, but once you got used to it, you forgot they were there. I can shake my head from side to side, or run, and sweat and they never once felt like they were going to slide out. While I realize everyone has different size ears, etc. (this does come with extra ear pieces) I found this to be the absolute best fitting wireless Bluetooth headphones since my PowerBeats. The tight seal in your canal also allows for a richer bass which the PowerBeats didn't have (but the hooks on the PowerBeats 2 offered me assurances that they wouldn't fall out). The sound is fantastic and the noise cancelling is superb. I used the ambient noise feature once just to see how it worked, but to me it sounded like mostly static (I was outside). It was tough to hear conversations or make out what noises you could hear. In terms of functionality and ease of use, I would also give these high marks. Once charged and synced to your phone, all you have to do to pair them to your phone is to pull the earpieces out of the case. I generally control my music while working out from my phone, so controlling volume and pause/play FFD and RWD functionality on the headset itself isn't a big deal to me either way. Unlike JLab's offerings, at least Sony's buttons are NOT touch sensitive (which can be affected by sweat). The buttons themselves work as advertised, but I didn't like using them because it felt like I was jamming the earpieces farther into my ear canal which made it uncomfortable. One of the more important aspects is connectivity. Again, going back to my experience with JLab's Epic Air, I found truly wireless headsets touchy at best (I've never used Airpods). You had to keep the phone on a particular side of your body or risk losing a connection. I can honestly say that in my experience I had ZERO connectivity issues other than your standard walking too far away from your phone. The battery life is fine, but not great. For me, I just want to always make sure I have a full battery for my run. So having to charge them frequ\ently isn't a big deal to me, in and of itself. What bothers me is knowing when it's low. The one thing the JLab Epic Air did great at was having a case with a battery indicator. I thought this was a small touch that went a long way. With these headsets (and the reason holding them back from 5 stars) is that you have to remember how long it's been since you charged them since there's no indicator on the case. Of course you can turn them on and look at your phone, but that's more of a hassle. All in all, these air the best workout headphones I've ever used. They still aren't perfect, and I caution anyone to take the time and find the right earpiece (that applies for any workout headphone) to ensure you get the best fit. Taking the time on day one will save you the hassle and headaches of having headphones fall out of your ear \in the middle of a workout.

Phenomenal Sound, But...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are by far my favorite wireless bluetooth earbuds to date. They have phenomenal sound, especially when using the Sony Headphones App and setting the EQ to "Excited". Powerful bass, nice mids, and bright (but not overly bright) highs. Add noise canceling to this, and wow! These also play louder than my other earbuds at the same volume settings. The "quick settings" available through the app are a huge plus. I have mine setup for "speech" with noise canceling on. This comes in handy when I want to listen to podcasts. Simply double tap the NC button, and bang, "quick settings" are active. When going back to music, another double tap of the NC buttong and I'm back to normal mode, which for me is EQ = Excited + NC on. There are two reasons I didn't give these headphones 5*'s. Reason one, which is really a big deal for me is that when you get phone calls, you can only hear the voice in the left speaker, and "Ambient Sound" is activated. This is terrible for my because I work on an automotive assembly line, and the noise is ridiculously loud. I have to crank the volume, which you can only do by phone or source. Another reason I gave these 4*'s is battery life. Three hours of music/listening is a very short amount of time when you work 10 hour days. I sort of figured out a way around this, but it is a pain. On a side note, I've contacted Sony Support in regards to the phone call only coming through one ear with ambient noise on. As of now there is no work around, but they said the would pass along the feedback/suggestion of having an option available in the app to turn on both headphones during calls, and especially be able to deactivate ambient noise. Hopefully they correct this. Would be a 5* easily because of this.

They really do mean sport in this case
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My feelings on these headphones ended up being a lot more complex than I was expecting. On paper, they seem to do just about everything I could want. They’re compact, wireless, offer both ambient audio passthrough and active noise cancellation, and have enough battery on board to easily last all day. Plus, they’re built by a brand known for quality audio hardware. But after using them for about a week, I’m not entirely sure that they'll end up being my new daily driver as I’d originally planned. To make it clear, there's nothing really wrong with the headphones. In fact for the most part they're pretty great. The NFC pairing makes connecting it to your phone as close to effortless as possible, the earbuds are surprisingly comfortable to wear while still offering the kind of rock solid fit you need for a device ostensibly to be worn while jogging, and the battery is great. They even offer good bass response. If we just go by that, they’re some of the best wireless headphones I've ever tried. The problem is that there are just a bunch of littler things in the design which make carrying them around with me all day a bit more of a hassle than I'd expected. To start, the charging case is very large and thick compared to most similar pod style headphones, making it somewhat uncomfortable to carry around in my pocket like I'm used to. My usual response would be to just throw it in a bag, but the swivel lid they use is very thin and a bit fragile. Just one day in my bag left it with a few dents and scratches which make me concerned that it might not be able to survive a week. It's also still using micro-usb for charging. While I know USB-C isn't the most common cable out there yet, the writing is on the wall at this point that it's going to be in a couple of years. Even Sony has it in their phones at this point, so I’ve got to carry a separate micro-usb cable around for charging. I'd probably be able to look past this all if not for the last thing on my list of things to look at: the active noise cancellation. Overall, this was the one thing I was most excited about with these earbuds and also the thing that left me most underwhelmed. It's not that it doesn’t work so much as that it can't. The earbuds simply aren't that effective at blocking exterior noise, so even with noise cancelling working you get a lot of sound filtering in. Overall, I’d still recommend them for their intended purpose. The fit and pass-through quality alone would be enough for me to suggest them to anyone who wants really good wireless earbuds to use when exercising. But I'm not sure these are the ones I’d bring with me to block out the noise if the train or the engine roar of an airplane.

Incredible noise cancellation - but too much bass
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Summary: The Sony WF-SP700N enters the increasingly crowded "totally wireless" headphone market with some unique capabilities. Unfortunately, while the sound is very detailed and noise cancellation is fabulous, the WF-SP700N listening experience is completely ruined by the overabundance of bass. Background: While I wouldn't consider myself to be a headphone snob, I'm a big fan of a good pair of cans. I use four different bluetooth headsets on a regular basis, as none of the ones I've tried "do it all" - provide noise cancellation for travel, have good battery life, let ambient sounds in when I want them, are easy to put in and take out, and offer good voice quality for phone calls. I listen to a broad variety of music, and I delight in hearing multiple layers of instrumentation and details of performances. I tested the WF-SP700Ns with an Apple iPhone 7 running iOS 11, with Amazon Music as my audio source, set to high quality mode. The Good: The WF-SP700N is actually very good at several things - the noise cancellation features are top-notch, and give you control over the amount of ambient sound you want to include, including just voices or all ambient sounds. The actual musical reproduction is very detailed across all frequencies. Offers a choice of "sound quality" or "connection priority" modes, allowing you to choose extra range at the expense of audio quality, or vice-versa. The Bad: Unfortunately, there's one glaring problem with the WF-SP700N: sooo much bass. Sooooooooo much bass. While the bass is detailed (it's not a generic one-note bass like you get in cheaper headphones) there's soooo much bass it totally overwhelms everything else. This brings me to my next complaint - the Sony music app has a section for EQ settings for the WF-SP700N, but it's only a 5-band EQ, and only offers preset EQ settings, none of which actually made the headphones sound better. <sigh> (I suppose it's an improvement over the last Sony product I tried, where the EQ settings in the Sony music app just did nothing.) When used in "connection priority" mode, the sound quality is very noticeably compromised, with a faint crackling sound added to the audio. The battery life seems to be kind of mediocre, about three hours in my testing (though that matches Sony's advertised battery life), and the charging case seems kind of flimsy for a pair of headphones in this price range. There are also strange little quirks, like a delay when you change the volume level on your phone, and noticeable amplifier "pops" when you start or stop music (presumably, Sony turns the amplifiers off to save battery when there's no music playing).

Sony True Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just tested out these wireless earbuds by Sony and they are decent at best. Connecting them via Bluetooth was easy as usual. Sound quality was great with most Sony earbuds/headphones. It could have been a little louder with a tad more bass. Charging took about an hour and a half in the included charging case that comes with them. Comes with a USB cable to connect to your laptop or charging block (not included). My only issue was how tiny these earbuds are. Also had a problem with them staying in my ears. They kept wanting to fall out. I tried using the other nubs to try and get a better fit however these particular buds just didn't fit well for me. All in all, these are a decent set of earbuds, they may be great for others, however, they just didn't work to well for me (size-wise). But sound quality was great as usual.

Top Quality Headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sony - WF-SP700N Sport headphones are outstanding. I love how they feel in the ear and they sound amazing. Setup is quick. The noise cancelling is really nice. It allows me to hear the music clearly when I'm in areas with a lot of noise. Battery life is impressive as well. I can use them for several hours while working out/running errands. They charge pretty quick too. I would recommend to everyone looking for a great pair of headphones.

The best true wireless earbuds
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have tried a LOT of true wireless earbuds looking for the right pair, and now I've finally found them. Many suffer from a lack of range or poor connectivity. Some don't fit well or have a tendency to become loose during activity. Sony has managed to avoid all the usual problems while also adding several very good features. Probably the biggest and best feature is active noise cancelling. Earbuds that fit in the ear canal, by their nature, block out noise, but that can be a problem if you're using them outside where you need to hear ambient sounds for safety. By incorporating active noise cancelling, Sony allows you choose between filtering out all noise or selectively letting through the outside sound you want - either optimized for voice or all noises. One minor drawback (and the only one I can come up with for this product) is that wind noise is amplified when you use this feature. The other great feature that sets this set of earbuds apart is the Sony Headphones app that you can use with them. You can select from several different equalizer modes depending on the type of music or program you're listening to. Using the app, I think this is the first set of earbuds I've used that can compete with over-the-ear headphones for bass response. I really couldn't believe that the sound I was hearing was coming out of these tiny earbuds.
