Purchased in June 2020 Not satisfied with them and I should have returned them before my return privilege expired. They do not noise cancel nearly as well as other products I have tried since. The buds don't seal in my ear and they will fall out when riding my bike. The resulting wind noise makes them fairly useless when out doors. The most aggravating thing is the signal drops randomly from one side to the other. On the plus side, the sound quality is good for indoor listening. The charging case holds a fair amount of recharge power.

As far as you experience with the noise canceling feature, please try some of these solutions below if the effect of noise canceling is not sufficient.
Make sure that the noise canceling function is turned on.
When you feel the noise canceling function and low frequency sound are insufficient, change the earbuds to ones that feel more sealed.
When changing the earbuds, try the earbud sizes in order from the larger sizes to the smaller sizes.
The size of the left and right earbuds may be different.
Adjust the headset into a comfortable position.
The noise canceling function is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices.
Check that the Adaptive Sound Control is turned off.
Check the setting of the Adaptive Sound Control on the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app. When the Adaptive Sound Control is turned on, the noise canceling function may become insufficient.
To maximize the effectiveness of Noise Canceling and to achieve optimal Sound Quality (particularly bass frequencies) it is important to minimize any gap that exists between your ears and the earbuds. Please choose the size of earbuds and arc supporters that results in the tightest seal. (Try the earbud sizes in order from larger to smaller.) A tighter seal may also be achieved by lightly pulling up on the top of the ear and twisting the headset as you place it in your ear. To achieve maximum stability, select the size of arc supporter that fits comfortably and snugly inside your ear grooves.
If you feel annoyed or uncomfortable with White noise or Wind noise, please change [NC/Ambient] mode to [OFF]. If you have never connected to the Sony | Headphones Connect app: change [NC/Ambient] settings by tapping the touch sensor on the left headset.

As far as your experience with the constant disconnection of the headphones, it's possible that headphones or speakers may be automatically connected to another previously connected audio device or the Bluetooth pairing isn't set correctly. You may need to disconnect or unpair the connected mobile device in order to pair the headphones or speaker to the mobile device you want to use. Resetting and initializing the headset may fix the issue.
