Amazing product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They fit and stay in my ears every well, the sound is very clear and can be changed to how ever you like with the app. And I wasn't expecting much when it came to the ANC and talk through modes, but I have to say I was surprised, it doesn't come close to the JBL 500bt but for wireless earbuds, it was amazing. The long battery is also a plus.

With an IP55 rating for water and dust resistance, they can be washed, making them perfect for active lifestyles and outdoor use. Good Sound, But A Miss in Comfort and Noise Cancel
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a glasses-wearing gamer, I was really excited for these as a solution to over-the-ear headphones pressing the frames of my glasses into the sides of my head. The sound quality was good and the Bluetooth setup was easy. I also like the stylish appearance, case, and ease of charging. It doesn’t take long for the earbuds to become uncomfortable though, even with the smallest earbud size. I frequently adjust them or actually remove them to massage my ear before reinserting. The buds have three modes: ambient sound in, ambient sound off, and active noice canceling. The middle option is the best. The noise canceling creates so much white noise that it’s actually louder than the ambient sound off mode. It covers up the sounds coming in. Another downside is no direct volume control on the buds themselves. I’m a streamer and rely on consistent audio from my computer. I can’t be alt-tabbing out of games to adjust the volume.

Yields Great Sound Quality ONLY...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my review of the Sony - WF-SP800N True Wireless Noise-Cancelling In-Ear Headphones – Black which I am giving a 3 out of 5 star rating. The in-ear headphones come packaged in a dual carrying / charging case measuring 3.5” long, 2.0” deep, and 1.375” high so they will easily fit in your front pocket or purse. In my use, the case held enough power to charge both ear headphones three times. The enclosed instructions are basically useless as to why it is highly suggested to use their QR Code to download the detail instruction PDF to your mobile device along with the smartphone app. When paired with your phone you can set add separate functions for each ear’s touch sensor for each individual ear headphone. I found it difficult to find the exact location of the touch sensor for each headphone. I end up grabbing each headphone with my thumb and ring-finger and then find the sensor with my index finger. This will take a while to be accustomed to as there are a series of “Morse Code” taps you will need to learn as you decide on what particular Playback Control Function you decide for each ear headphone. For example on the left ear headphone, you can select Playback Control for the functions of Play/Pause, Next Song, Previous Song, or Voice Assist. For example on the right ear headphone, you can select Volume Control for the functions of Raising the Volume and Lowering the Volume. There are also other Playback Controls for Ambient Sound Control, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa that I will not go into here for this review. As for the sound quality while listening to music, I was quite impressed and found an overall balance between the highs and lows. The earbuds themselves come in three different sizes along with two different sizes for the arc supporter that keeps the ear headphones from spinning around in your ear. To place them in your ear, you hold them vertical, gently insert the ear headphone into the ear canal, then turn the ear headphone backwards until snug into your ear. There are no detailed instructions on how to insert them in your ear so I found this method works best. There are special sound/audio features with the first one being “360 Reality Audio” which is just simulated surround sound. They provide a sound clip for audio testing but to completely take advantage of this feature you must subscribe to either 360 by Deezer, nugs.net, or TIDAL. Since I subscribe to neither of these music streaming apps this feature is useless to me. The second sound/audio feature is “Analyze ear shape” in which you take pictures of each ear in order to apply some sort of equalization to your listening experience. After performing this task, I felt no change in sound quality. As for the sound quality while taking phone calls, I found the audio both crisp and clear. As for taking calls, I was first confused on how to answer or hang-up on phone calls, i.e., what “Morse Code” do I use for this function! The instructions for taking calls are provided, actually buried, in the apps Tutorial (page 3 of 5) which also shows you how to wear the ear headphones. I still find it cumbersome to answer calls as I’m used to physical buttons on ear headphones. For each instance a double-tap on the touch sensor will either answer or hang-up your call. A BIG disappointment be me is that there is NO option to mute your call directly through the ear headphone themselves. You need to have your phone readily available to mute! Overall, these in-ear headphones provide great sound quality for music and the battery life is great which gets me to 4 out of 5 start rating. BUT, I feel the lack of physical buttons and needing to apply “Morse Code” taps to apply features a big drawback, perhaps my personal preference. And the final BUT, not having a mute option at the ear headphone level leaves me to yield an over all rating of 3 out of 5 star rating. As always, I hope you enjoyed reading my review in aiding you in the selection of this product.

Amazing buds! I'm picky, and these are perfect!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These earbuds are absolutely incredible!! I am rather picky with the earbuds I choose, and I actually ended up trying out 9 different earbuds before settling on these ones. I'm not reviewing all the nitty gritty fancy functions of all the buds, just the general functionality such as ear comfort, sound quality, call quality, noise cancelling, touchpad functionality, etc. The Sony WF-SP800N earbuds sound amazing for music quality, and call quality is also really good. It's great that you can adjust the EQ settings in the app to play around with the sound. These buds just really give a rich, deep sound that beats almost anything else I've heard. I'm very, very blown away with the sound quality. The touch pad sensor is really high quality and responsive. Good work there. The active noise cancelling also works quite well, I'm very pleased with it. Ambient sound is also great. Both of those functions are adjustable in the app. The case is a little bit bigger than I would like, but I can live with that. Seen bigger, seen smaller. The buds also have a good aesthetic to them. They don't make me look dumb or anything, they look quite good and feel very comfortable too. The wing tips are impressive to me. I tried a few other buds where the wing tips were floppy and not sturdy enough to help, but these are stronger and very helpful to hold the earbuds perfectly in place. I was able to shake my head quite vigorously and they didn't budge. I also tried out 8 other pair of earbuds: Samsung Galaxy Buds Live, Sony WF-1000XM3, Bose Sport earbuds, LG TONE Free HBS-FN4, Jabra Elite 75t, JLab Epic Air Sport ANC, Powerbeats Pro, and Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro. I ultimately chose the Sony WF-SP800N earbuds, and I am so pleased with my purchase. I reviewed all the other ones on the BestBuy website, so you can look at my review for those too.

Sony audio rocks!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the headphones! Out of the box the bass isn't great but sound be changed to any custom sound you want with the app. The noise canceling isn't the best in the world for for $100 its amazing. I have the Jaybird x4 headphone as well. The Jaybird are fine headphones but the SP800N put them to shame. Call quality is very good. They work fairly well with gaming (no lag) and using discord works well while gaming. This might have been the best 100 bucks I have ever spent. Early on there was connection issues with my Samsung phone but those have seemed to be cleared up with software updates. I wouldn't go on a bike ride with them or anything like that where you want to hear traffic, even with the noise canceling off.

Faulty after 2 months.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound and battery life all good. Program too. However after 2 months and only 3 times charging the device, no longer charges. Sony will honor their warranty, but i have to ship it to them and wait However long to get some back. Therefore, i bought another brand due to lack of any other options.

Posted .Hi Superb, we're glad you like our product. Focus on nothing but your goals with the WF-SP800N truly wireless noise-canceling sports headphones. Featuring IP55 water and sweat resistance, they also offer long battery life, stable Bluetooth® connectivity, and EXTRA BASS™ for a deep, punchy sound.
To maximize the effectiveness of Noise Canceling and to achieve optimal Sound Quality (particularly bass frequencies) it is important to minimize any gap that exists between your ears and the earbuds. Please choose the size of earbuds and arc supporters that results in the tightest seal. (Try the earbud sizes in order from larger to smaller.) A tighter seal may also be achieved by lightly pulling up on the top of the ear and twisting the headset as you place it in your ear. To achieve maximum stability select the size of arc supporter that fits comfortably and snugly inside your ear grooves.

Disconnected, reconnected, disconnected, reconnect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first pair I got lasted a couple months before they started having problems maintaining a connection with my iPhone. No matter what I was watching or Listening to, they dropped the connection about an hour in. After lots of frustration and troubleshooting, Sony replaced them under the product warranty. Two years of mostly happy use since, and all of the sudden, they don’t last 5 minutes into playback. Just a couple days ago they were perfectly fine, now they’re garbage. No new phone, didn’t miss an app or firmware update. Didn’t drop ‘em or drench ‘em. They just up and broke. Of course, consistently, Sony’s self help troubleshooting is practically nonexistent. Maybe this problem will mysteriously correct itself just as mysteriously as it started before I find the time to squeeze an unnecessarily long customer service call, during normal business hours, into my schedule when I have little availability during said business hours. Other than that, the little ear hookies hurt at first, and if you wear them too long. I must have an odd shaped ear canal on one side, because it took some finagling to get it stay in there without, itself, essentially plugging my ear, defeating their very purpose. But they’ve been reliable, do a good job blocking out ambient noise, and have a reasonable range. On a broader note, this has been one of several technical nightmares with recent Sony products I’ve purchased. The complete lack of DIY troubleshooting for the absolutely bizarre and infuriating technical issues I’ve encountered is starting to leave a bad taste in my mouth. I very well might go with a different brand if these earphones have met their end.

Ear buds are constantly falling out.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sony has never let me down; that is until I purchased these from a different retailer. They sound amazing, however they don't stay in my ears. I have tried to switch out the size of the ear plug and they still fall out. It seems as though as soon as you start to warm up and the slightest sweat is when the issue with them staying in begins. Save your money and invest in a different Sony headphone.

Posted .Hi Pebbles,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. While we are glad you like the amazing sound of the WFSP800N, we're sorry to hear that the unit is falling out on your ears. M-sized arc supporters come attached to the left and right units of the headset at the time of purchase. As a suggestion, try to use the right size of earbuds and ARC supporter according to the size of your ears. Gently pull on the top of your ear and twist the headset to secure the arc supporter to your ear grooves. Purchased 2 pair- ssme problem! Otherwise loved th
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I initally bought a pair if these as a 1st time Sony earbud buyer rhinking "Why not give it a try". I primarily use them for calls more than music. Love them!! I ended up dropping the case a time or 2 so then when i would take a call tne caller would come through very distorted & static-y. I then waa on a road trip & EVERONE I spoke to as i was on the road said they could hardly hear me but heard a crackling sound. I attributed this to my butterfingers & dropping case so when i reached my destination I purchased ANOTHER set (2 week return option had lapses). THE ISSUE REMAINS- CALL ANSWER INCOMING CALLER IS DISTORTED. i have to toggle the bluetooth on & off to get normalcy... UMMM SONY PLEASE EXPLAIN! PHONE IS A SAMSUNG GALAXY S20+5G

Worst headphones I've ever used
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They don't stay in your ears at all, they fall out while I am sitting at my desk which is unbelievable. The sound quality is okay for wireless headphones, but still not great. Even if they do manage to stay in your ears, they won't stay seamlessly connected to your phone, so expect the sound to come in and out.
