Sony is a name that I’ve always trusted. The bass on these headphones is ridiculously good, without drowning out the highs or mids. Click (not touch) controls are simple - I just need these for music, nothing fancy. The lack of an app to use an equalizer isn’t a big deal, they sound that good.

Posted .Hello srixom, We regret to hear that you are having a connection issue with your Sony wireless headphones and they are bulky for you. When making a Bluetooth connection, make sure to bring the headset and the Bluetooth device within 1 m (3 feet) from each other. If the headset automatically connects to the last connected Bluetooth device, you may fail to connect the headset to other devices via Bluetooth connection. In that case, operate the last connected Bluetooth device and disconnect the Bluetooth connection. If the pairing information for the headset has been deleted on the Bluetooth device, pair the headset with the device again.

Giving it 5 stars for the product. They work well and as expected. He is enjoying using his phone and tablet without wires with good audio. The price is extremely reasonable, especially coming from a well known audio brand. I have made phone calls to him while he is using his headphones and I did not notice any problems with the audio quality. I do wish the headphone case was sturdier - the plastic felt flimsy. The instructions that came with the headphones did not have written instructions, it was all pictures. The "picture instructions" were somewhat confusing and we ended up needing to search online quite a bit when we had troubles connecting to his phone. Once connected, the headphones worked great! I am still giving the headphones a 5 star review as I do not think the case or instructions take away from the actual quality of the headphones, but they are features I think Sony should consider with future products.

These headphones do not have the greatest sound quality, but I grew up listening to music on a cheap, tinny boom box I bought from a local department store. So, sound is not essential to me. Battery life is really good, and connectivity to Bluetooth is seamless. They work well on phone connections as well, but if you have them really entrenched in your ears, it really shuts down exterior noise. In fact, if you have volume above 5/10, you’ll struggle hearing people in your real life speaking to you. (My wife will testify to that.). For incoming calls, it automatically connects to this device. My one minor complaint, is that for incoming calls, the audio does not default to this device. When I pick up an incoming call, I have to go to the iPhone audio settings, and select this device in order to speak to that person through these headphones. Overall, I highly recommend these headphones for any listening purpose.

Good but does have one issue that bothers me.

They have decent battery life. My issue with them is that you have to use the left earbud for them to work. You can't use either/or. If you try to use the right one by itself, it won't work/connect to your device. This is my main reason for not rating it a 5. I would recommend this item if not for needing to use the left ear bud for them to work.

Thank you for purchasing the WF-XB700 Truly Wireless Extra Bass Headphones. We're happy to know that you like the fit and sound quality of these headphones. Your feedback regarding the option to use each earbud independently is greatly appreciated. Certain Sony Truly Wireless earbuds, including the WF-SP800N, WF-1000XM3, and WF-1000XM4, support the 'Using only one unit of the headset' feature. This means they can be configured to only output sound to one earbud, while the other earbud stays in the charging case. The WF-XB700 are designed to be use with both earbud units inserted into both ears. In order for the right earbud to establish a Bluetooth connection with your phone, the left earbud has to be outside the charging case.
