Superior to the XM3 in every way

I purchased the WF-1000XM3s last year, and was immediately blow away by the audio. My only complaint was the earbuds never felt like they fit securely in my ears. I would have to adjust them frequently. The XM4s solved this issue completely, the tips do fit extremely tight though. The medium silicon tips on the XM3s fit the best for me, but only the small tips that came with the XM4s would even fit into my ears. But they create the perfect seal. The earbuds feel cemented in place too. As a climber that goes bouldering regularly, falling and dropping 10 feet is a very common occurrence. I dropped 10 feet from the wall four times before I even had to touch these earbuds, and that was only to skip the song. The audio quality is even better than the XM3s. The bass has more punch, while not drowning the mids or highs and not becoming muddy. The Excited equalizer preset in the app gives them that extra sparkle that plays beautifully with the extra base. The ANC works great, and the passive noise canceling does wonders by itself. The packaging does not feel like you are buying a premium product, but you aren’t purchasing these for the packaging. As soon as you open the case, you’ll definitely feel that premium quality you paid for. Bottom line, you will not regret purchasing these earbuds if they fit properly. I purchased these to get the better fit and water resistance so I could use them more often, and I have no regrets at all. I’m handing down my XM3s to my little sister after experience these earbuds.

Over all customer support was amazing and willing to fix the issue. The product has been amazing the ear buds work just the headphone counterpart.

I would have loved to keep these, however, they started to make the inside of my ears itch after only a few hours of itch. Maybe I'm sensitive. Either way they should really switch to a hypoallergenic foam.

The noise cancellation is nearly as good as my Sony WH-1000XM3 over ear headphones, which is crazy for a pair of earbuds. The foam tips are nice, provide a good seal. Only negative I experience is some slight discomfort in my left ear only from the plastic housing. This only happens after hours of use and is most likely due to my own ear shape. Otherwise, an almost perfect pair of wireless earbuds!

They were so painful to wear, no matter what I tried. If you have smaller ears, these probably aren't for you. I had to return mine and go back to my Buds2.

Sound quality is good, and they havent stopped working yet, so i consider that a win. In the last year i have tried 2 other earbuds with ANC. Skullcandy indy ANC, stopped charging after 3 months and they wouldnt respond to repeated calls to customer service. Replaced those with Bose ANC earbuds that sounded good but were heavy in the ears and wouldn't stay in my ears while working out.

Dead batter after 1.5 years was the killer

They last about 10 mins now, and charging often gets a flashing red indicating "too hot to charge". They sounded good before this but I need a product to last more than this when it costs this much.

I tried getting ahold of Sony because I was pond off by the geak squad and sony said they should have lasted longer than 1.5 years. These have been out for a while now and constantly still get referenced as top 5 true wireless earbuds. Noise cancelling is great, sound quality is great and now they're about to be even better than sony finally decided to add multipoint connectivity to them through a firmware update, only thing i'm not a fan of is call quality can be lacking if there's a bit of background noise.

Little expensive yes, but is worth it, the premium ANC is above all its closest competitors, including Bose. At first I wanted to return them due to their price tag, but after taking them with me to the hospital I work, I was able to see and experience why the high price, an emergency truck came close to me and the ANC blocked almost the entire sound coming from a firetruck, which is loud. So instead of returning them, I bought a protection plan.
