    All around a downgrade from the wf-1000xm3. Starting with the packaging, its cheap for $300 headphones. Its a recycled cardboard like box that feels awful. The headphones are really not easy to get out of the charging case at all. The rubber tips have also been replaced with a memory foam type material that feels really not good in your ear and gets stuck. The only thing good about about these is the sound. Sony always puts 110% in the sound department but this product is just a worse wf-1000x-m3.

    These are trash they always disconnect and fall out the ear. I think I would of been better with AirPods

    They’ve got pretty good quality sound, the noise canceling is great. I left 2 stars because I have to manually connect them to my phone numerous times a day. My powerbeat pros and Bose headphones never have this problem. These also don’t pause music or videos when taken out more times than not. Not sure why it says ‘designed for iPhone’ on the box because i highly doubt that. Good sound and noise canceling when they’re working though.

    Excellent headphones. I bought these on sale, which were about $80 off msrp. You have to install the app to use these headphones. The previous version had NFC this does not. While inconvenient, its not a deal breaker. Battery life is great and the carry case is very compact for easy traveling. Be careful though as it's compactness may make it easy to lose.

    The only fault I have with these ear buds is that the tips were not comfortable to me. Easy fix. I got the Spin Fit CP1025's, if anyone cares. They are not designed for the XM4's but fit shallow and still provide a good seal for ANC. Everything else about these ear buds are outstanding. The sound stage is fantastic. I believe most Android phones offer the LDAC codec, I highly recommend using it.

    Good noise canceling for earbuds. Sound is good as always with Sony. Only drawback is you can only pair to one device at a time. The over ear XM4 can connect to two devices at once

    They have excellent ANC and sound quality. Where they really messed up was no customization with the one touch controls. I mean this as in not being able to toggle each function for each touch where lower end earbuds you can do this with. Google assistant only works with the right earbud unless you remove Google assistant before the bud dies and place the left one in the case and setup the left earbud with Google assistant. The caveat with the is that every time you want to use the left earbud alone with Google assistant, you have to set it up EVERY time you put them in your ear. Talking about Google assistant... It only works about 50 percent of the time when trying to enable ambient mode and 25 percent of the time in a noisy environment. 75 percent of the time Google will start playing ambient music noises and you can't get rid of it easily. Every touch after that won't play your music, it will play the Google ambient music noises after pausing your music and trying to go back to your main music app. Phone call quality is actually horrible and the worst I have used based off of other complaints. They hear everything around me and don't block anything out. I was going to give 3 stars but reduce a star for every complaint I had. Definitely not worth retail price.

      While we're glad you like the excellent noise canceling and audio quality, we regret to hear the Google Assistant operation doesn't work all the time and Google assistant only works with the right earbud. Please allow us to help you and turn this into a better experience.

      To resolve this issue, check that the touch sensor on the earbud you want to use by itself is set up to support the use of one earbud at a time. The Google Assistant feature can be assigned to the headset unit for which the touch sensor has the music playback function assigned. When you want to use the Google Assistant feature on either unit of the headset, assign the music playback function to the headset unit you want to use, and then assign the Google Assistant feature.
      On the headset unit to which the music playback function is not assigned, the Google Assistant feature cannot be used. You can change the function assignments to the touch sensors of both the left and right units using the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app.

    These headphones, though a little pricey, are more than worth it. I upgraded from the airpod pro to these and it is like going from hearing sound from a TV to going to a movie theater. There are some drawbacks when it comes to using this with Apple(they aren’t as plug and play, you lose some of the connected features) but you gain an incredible amount of sound quality.

    These are excellent major improvements in style, fit and function over the 1000XM3, which was already very good and a pack leader. Noise cancelling is excellent. Pause on beginning speech is a fraction of a second delay. Very useful.they look less obtrusive in the ear but fit tight enough not to feel like they are slipping out.

    I own or have owned 50 headphones/earbuds ranging from $100-$1200. I have sensitive ears. The tuning and sound are a lead pipe lock, amazing. the ability to get loud, easy. All the other features meet or exceed expectations. Sony still has a few products in which they put the best engineers on. TV's (high end only) and true wireless ear buds. It shows. They are not perfect, but so close its a scratch. brilliant.

    Trust me when I tell you that I’ve tried ALL the earbuds there is to try and these are by far the best! Fit great, noise canceling is spot on, people say they hear me great on phone calls and the sound is perfect! What else can you ask for? Oh, and btw, they stay in! I use them underneath my motorcycle helmet which with other buds, it was exhausting trying to get them to stay in place putting on or taking off the helmet!

    I don’t know why these are being praised as so great. The foam tips didn’t fit my ears well and they were uncomfortable! Sound is fine, but these are not worth the price in my opinion. The Beats Studio Buds are much more comfortable and sound was very similar to me.

The WF-1000XM4 features an Ergonomic surface design for a stable fit. If you feel earbud tips are difficult to put into your ears, change the size of earbud tips or squeeze earbud tips lightly before wearing the headset. For the proper sound quality, noise canceling function, and call sound quality to be effective:
      • Change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ears. When changing the earbud tips, try the earbud tip sizes in order from the larger ones to the smaller ones. The size of the left and right earbud tips may be different.
      The “Sony | Headphones Connect” app will help you to determine which earbud tips are most suitable for you to achieve the optimal noise cancelation effect.
      • Referring to step 2 of this link https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/wf1000xm4/v1/en/contents/TP1000237901.html?search=Fit, check if the headset is properly worn on your ears. Wear the headset so that the earbud tip is comfortably situated as deep in the ear canal as possible.

    Yes these are by far the best noise canceling earbuds on the market! Also the sound quality through the Sony LDAC codec is the best, as of 11/13/22, for Hi-Res music from streaming services such as Qobuz, Tidal and Amazon Music HD. When playing both Tidal and Amazon Music HD you also get 360 music or Dolby Atmos, which is a nice bonus.
