For fit concern, the WF-1000XM4 features a new ergonomic surface design for a more stable fit and the newly developed Noise Isolation Earbud Tips also improves adhesion to the ear canal for a more stable fit, making the WF-1000XM4 headphones easy to wear.
To ensure optimal performance, as well as to obtain the best fit and prevent the headset from falling out, change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ears. If you feel earbud tips are difficult to put into your ears, change the size of earbud tips or squeeze earbud tips lightly before wearing the headset. When wearing them, gently pull up on the top of your ears, put the earbud tips in your ear canal, and then twist the earbuds into place. This makes sure the earbuds are firmly in the ear canal.

The AirPods Pro that I had were my first dive into noise cancellation. When I upgraded to these I was not expecting such a drastic difference, but these are the real deal! Nice sound but functionally problematic

The only issue was that after 10 minutes of running the touch function on the earbuds would not work. Very frustrating when you are on a multi mile run. I returned them for the Bose quiet comforts. Haven’t looked back

I wear them to the gym, when travelling and for general music. I own them alongside the XM-4s. They are really solid earphones but the ear tips are itchy in my ears. It took a long while until they didn't itch.

Surprisingly Comfortable, Noise Cancelling is A+

Despite their rather funny shape, they are remarkably comfortable. This is the one pair I can sleep on without ear pain. The noise cancelling is fantastic, in particular it almost completely silences a window AC unit in the home office. The "be aware" mode works perfectly with just a light tap to the left ear. Speaking of, all the controlling is very light taps, unlike other units where you have to loudly or painfully bang the thing into your ear canal to get it to respond. Also nice, it responds only to finger touch, meaning you won't accidently give it an input if you hit it with a shirt or touches against a pillow. Not sure how exactly but it knows the difference between skin and fabric touches. The audio quality is very, very good in music, movies, and games. (I use this unit for PC gaming sometimes).

Battery issues-beware!

I purchased these for air travel use only and after three dozen flights they no longer work. About two months ago each time I started to use them, I would get a message the right earbud only had 15 minutes charge left. The earbuds would stop working a minute or so later. I have tried the Sony site and various You Tube recommendations to fix the issue without success. Sony seems to be stuck in the reboot method of addressing the issue. For a $300+ purchase one would think these might last somewhat longer after light use in less than 2 years. Suggestion to those considering these earbuds, look online concerning many users having similar problems with these earbuds. Sony has not offered a recall for the defective product thus far so beware.

Exploring service options now. I use these mainly once or twice a month for about an hour at a time so it’s not like I’ve worked these to death.
