Not disappointed. The case magnet are much stronger than my Sony 800s; it’s a little harder to release each earbud from the case. I only wish they had wireless charging capabilities. 18 months life span

Right bud will not take a charge and the buds only last minutes then die. This is a known and documented issue. Sony has become very disappointing in consumer electronics

To the point where they only work for about 20-30 minutes, Right ear is starting to suffer the same thing. Of course it started happening about 2 months outside the warranty period!

Not so with Sony. They sound great. I've EQed them to my liking and I couldn't be happier with them. I pop them in, go for long walks and with the unbelievable noise canceling, it's a joy. Highly recommended.

No Noise Cancellation

I have the Bose noise-canceling earbuds and they are excellent with outstanding noise cancellation. However, they are too large so I was excited to learn about the new Sony product. Various reviews stated that noise cancellation was as good or better than the Bose. I ordered them from BestBuy and received them the following day. I set up the app and followed the directions to connect the earbuds to the app. This was a fairly easy process. The fit with the included tips was fine and provided a good seal for additional noise cancellation. Unfortunately, the active noise cancellation was non-existent. I tried several different ways and to activate this function and even uninstalled the app and started over again without success. I followed Sony's guide to poor noise cancellation (https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/wf1000xm4/v1/en/contents/TP1000239171.html) without success. My only conclusion is that the earbuds were defective. I returned them the same day. I may order another pair as I really liked the size and fit and the sound quality was excellent. For now, I will stick with the Bose with outstanding noise cancellation that truly silences a room.

We regret to hear that the sound level won't go any louder and the headphones keeps falling out. This is definitely not the experience we'd like you to have. Here at Sony, we always strive to deliver quality products that deliver an amazing customer experience. Having said that, allow us to help you and turn your experience around.
These comes in various sizes of earbuds. To keep the headphones from falling out, please select the earbuds that best fit and wear them correctly for a comfortable listening experience.
For the low sound level, please try the following steps below.
Turn up the volume of the connected device.
When the volume adjustment function is assigned to the touch sensor with the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app, you can adjust the volume on the headset during music playback.
Even when the volume adjustment function has been assigned to the touch sensor with the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app, you cannot adjust the volume on the headset during a call. Adjust the volume on the connected device. If you are unable to adjust the volume on the connected device, install the “Sony | Headphones Connect” smartphone app and adjust the volume on the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app.
You can also make few adjustments to your headphones settings to suit your needs using the Sony Headphones Connect app. It has an Equalizer/CLEAR BASS setting which can be customized to fine-tune your music. This will give you more control over your headphones and their performance.
Connect the Bluetooth device to the headset once again.
The sound conduits (sound output tubes), air holes, and microphone holes (in 2 locations) of the headset are not completely watertight. If any water droplets are left in the sound conduits, air holes, or microphone holes (in 2 locations), sound level becomes low temporarily, but this is not a malfunction. See “When you have finished using the headset” and dry the headset before use.
Reset the headset.
Initialize the headset, and pair the headset and the device again.

For the price I expected have better experience. But, it’s horrible. No noise cancellation, sound poor. I don’t like apple products as much , but I need to say. AirPod pro it’s way superior. Have the headphone cm3 it’s amazing. Quality, noise cancellation. Maybe if updated to headphones xm4 , but doesn’t make sense for me cause my old xM3 still working good. But, anyway. XM4 earphone I’m disappointed.
