The Best Noise Cancelation but Low Volume.

The Noise Cancelation is the best on the Market. But the Volume is lower than the Sony WF-1000XM3. Which means its lower than most of the Competition. The WF-1000XM3 had NFC, you can touch your Android phone to it and connect instantly. Harder to connect the WF-1000XM4 but they are Wireless charging with a few hours more in lasting time. The Bang & Olufsen EQ is way better Sound Quality and good enough Noise Cancelation. Which means the Bang & Olufsen EQ wins.

Thank you for the review. Volume quality will depend on the audio source and battery percentage of the headphones. Also, If you feel that the bass (low frequency) sound is low or there's a difference in volume levels between the left and right sides of the headphones, change the earbuds to another size that comfortably and snugly fit both ears.

Amazing Sounds but a little discomfort

They fit very snug and sometimes hurt a little after 3 to 4 hours of use. Other than that everything else is amazing. They sound great and the noise canceling and ambient noise are both great!

Far exceeds the Airpod Pros and the older WF-1000XM3 earbuds. Portability: Not as compact as some other earbud cases, but definitely manageable. Far exceeds the carrying case of the older WF-1000XM3. Magnets: STRONG Overall Fit: They fit quite nicely in my ears (not perfectly though), but everyone's ears are different.

Beast mode!!!

Bass is good but not overpowering. Sound clear and crispy. They fit perfectly if you use the right size as that's what makes the difference in getting the best sound. Calls are pretty good but not the best. After messing with the settings, using them for calls improved.

WF-1000XM4 Inconsistent Performance

But after 1.5 year of light use, the Left earbud suffers abnormal battery drain, shutting down after about 20 mins of play time. I always recharge to make sure the L, R batteries indicated at least 90% on the App but the Left shuts down after about 20 mins while the Right still showing more than 80%. Looks like this is a common discussions for the type in the Sony Support Community.

Ear fit is really important

Probably one of the best investments I've ever made. So I was really excited to try these for a bit of a different form factor Pretty much, the sound was fantastic, and I think they look really stylish. The noise canceling was also phenomenal, BUT....... only if I could get them to sit right in my ears. which was almost impossible! Without a perfect seal, the noise canceling does not work. These are pretty big, and so often I would get one ear completely sealed, but the other one I had a much harder time with. I tried the different foam tips that come in the box, but it didn't really fix the situation. I was constantly struggling to try and get both earbuds sitting perfectly in my ears at the same time. Another annoyance was that they would jiggle when I walked, so every footstep was like a loud boom through the noise canceling That got pretty annoying too. I guess I blame this stuff on my particular ear shape? I haven't tried any other earbuds like this, so it's hard to say. The only other in-ear headphones I've ever used are some $5 wired ones I've burned through dozens of over the years. and I guess they never gave me any problems In the end I returned them because it was just too much of a hassle for me. But yeah, the audio quality is phenomenal so long as they fit right in your ears!

We regret to hear that the unit had to be returned. This is definitely not the customer experience we want you to have. We always recommend wearing our WF-1000XM4 wireless headphones correctly while using the right size of earbud tips to prevent them from falling off and to have a great listening experience. There will be instance that the customer will use a different set of earbud tips at the same time. They can wear small on one side and medium on the other. It really depends on the customer's ear shape. This will minimize any uncomfortable feeling and prevent them from jiggling or falling off. To know more, you can visit the links below:

Better than AirPod Pros

Currently own several around the neck head sets from LG and Samsung, and also have AirPod Pros and several Samsung Galaxy Buds. But after watching so many positive reviews on YouTube I had to try them. Overall, these are my go to wireless buds to use when at the gym or just wanting to listen to music or stream content. The sound quality is amazing, its a level above what I used to believe the best ear buds (AirPod Pro) for me was. The fit is much better, they don't fall out of my ears even after an hour half working out at the gym. The seal from the foam tips is comfortable and the nose cancellation is close too or if not better than my AirPods. - I use my AirPod pros as a baseline for reviewing these because they were my go to for years. But just after a few days the Sony WF-1000XM4 has better fit, audio, nose cancellation and the app has great customization for the type of music I'm listening too. Only con is using it for phone calls, the AirPod pros are still one of the best ear buds to use for clear calls.

Great headsets but takes time for ears to adjust

I do have a pixel so I had to download an app. It does pause music whenever I remove them from my ears, that is a neat feature. I have only handled phone calls a handful of times and so far it seems to work pretty well. I am overal happy with the sound quality of these.

Awesome ANC earbuds, but iffy fit sometimes

It's pretty neat being able to wear them on a walk with ambient sound on and some music playing and being able to still have a conversation. It's also great to use ANC at the gym. My only qualm would be the sizing for me: for some reason I can't get a good fit on the right earbud, it likes to pop out sometimes when I'm exercising with them on. I wish they sold replacement foam tips or had an extra small size. I think I would need extra small for my right ear.

Ear canals vary in size from person to person, and can also vary in size from the left to the right sides. If you have tried all sizes of ear tips and can't get the best fit for the right ear, we recommend wearing the earbuds properly. Gently pull up on the top of your ears, put the earbud tips in your ear canal, and then twist the earbuds into place. This makes sure the earbuds are firmly in the ear canal. Also, replacement earbud tips are available in S, M, L sizes only.

Excellent sound quality, flimsy case

Be ready to drop it (even with a case) and wonder of the case will snap in half. Also thank god they have wireless charging because my port went in under a year which is absolutely absurd given the price. Even so, I have yet to see a company which can match the sound quality Sony earbuds have. Layered, rich, and very immersive. Just take note of the corners they cut and wait for a sale. They are clearly saving money on manufacturing costs here if the case is any indication.

Massive step in the right direction.

Noise cancelling is good, but not great (maybe I need to play with it more). The fit in the ear can sometimes feel like it is slipping out, even though it is not. Wish these had in-ear stay tips, and ability to connect to multiple (two?) devices via Bluetooth. If they had that, then they would be perfect. The tap feature for controlling gestures works perfectly. I had a loss of signal, disconnecting and distortion issues, but a reset fixe it and it is now working perfectly.

They almost sound like bigger headphones and not earbuds, way better sound quality than any other ones I've tried. I did have to get these called in for repair, which was free from Sony, to replace the batteries in the earbuds after two years.
