Great sound quality, but not worth other issues

The sound quality and noise cancellation are great, but I ordered these to work from home and they’re unusable for that purpose. When I listen to music on my work MacBook, the sound skips constantly and music is unlistenable. It’s a little better if I disconnect all other Bluetooth devices, but I need to use my keyboard and mouse so they win. I’ve never had this issue with my 8 year old Beats, Jabra headset, or AirPods. The microphone quality is also abysmal, to the point where my coworkers told me it was “the worst I’ve ever sounded.” They also fall out of my ears pretty often, but I can’t blame the product for my ear shape. I do wonder though if it’s because they’re so top-heavy. One earbud fell out while I was on an airplane and I was able to find it later after we landed, but it made me realize there’s no feature to locate a lost earbud or ability to replace one earbud individually. I’m outside the return window now so unfortunately I’ll be keeping them, but after three weeks of use I don’t love much about these.

Would rate these higher if the in-call quality was better and noise reduction was better. Nice feature for a pure play audio liatening device where it identifies the mode of use and enables noise cancelation. One issue i found with sound quality is a slight tin sound for certain highs. Not sure if this has always been there or after dropping the case a couple of times. Good battery life and quick charging.

Wouldnt recommend for jogging or running because they feel like they might fall out, the impact of running kind of knocks them loose after a while would recommend headphones for this case. For working out or just relaxing they are perfect though.

Threw Away the Eartips. Great Otherwise.

Owned for 11 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like the title says, the eartips were literal trash, and I threw them away a couple of months into ownership and replaced them with 3rd party alternatives which were all around better. The included eartips are foam, but they are shaped differently from all other foam eartips I've used. This caused them to get damaged easily and fall apart quicker. Out of the box, these earphones come tuned with enough bass to suffocate any audiophile, but with EQ adjustment that saves to the earphones, you'll be able to get your favorite sound out of them (especially if you love bass). But let's cut to why you would buy these rather than some airpods: the noise cancelling. I have owned my fair share of naturally isolating earphones and have tried my fair few noise cancelling earphones. These were on a completely different level. When I first tried the noise cancelling in a loud break room, I laughed out loud at how quiet it was. If it is noise you'd like to avoid, these will not disappoint. So that's it. Great sounding earphones that can make any noisy disaster of a room sound like my favorite room to listen to some open backs. Great product, so long as you go in expecting to get rid of the eartips that fall apart as soon as you use them.

High Quality Large Package

The sound quality is amazing, as soon as I put them in my ear I could tell the difference from cheaper buds I have used in the past. The noise cancellation is equally as impressive and has lots of customization. The Sony app for customizing the controls and sound is very well done as well. I have owned several true wireless earbuds over the ears and the Sony WF-1000XM4 buds are the best I have heard to date. At the time of this review, there are several competitive options coming to market such as the AirPods Pro 2nd Generation and Bose Quiet Comfort 2 ear buds but I believe those will still hold up even with some age. I did find the fit to be a little hard on my ears even after trying all of the different size tips. The tips are made of foam and I like the idea of tight fitting foam ear buds but they never seamed to fit correctly. After a few hours of wear, I find my ears to be in some pain. My only other gripe with these ear buds was that the case was a little too large for my liking, they fit fine in jeans but definitely larger than other cases I have tried. Overall l would recommend the Sony WF-1000XM4 ear buds if you value audio quality and need good noise cancellation for your commute or work environment. You may want to pass if you have small ears or try these on and feel they are too large. The WF-1000XM4 buds easily some of the best true wireless ear buds you can buy.

If you’re wearing a hood the sensitivity will activate the pause/play or skip button which is huge for me. If you disarm the touch in the app for the buttons it will still make tone. Great sound quality but not worth it for the price. The battery, sound silencing and sound quality are the stars. This is after a year of use.

I also have the WH-1000XM4s but wanted something portable to replace my AirPods Pro which hurt my tiny ears and constantly fall out. The Sonys are quite large—literally about half the size of my entire ear—but the tips go in the ear far enough to create a good seal and stay put. Although I can feel them due to the weight, they’re not uncomfortable and don’t hurt. The complaints about these hurting are likely from people trying to make them fit into the concha like a puzzle piece, which is how they look like they should fit from many user pictures. Mine are essentially suspended by the foam tips and bare touch my outer ear because they can’t fit inside. Sound quality is good enough for me, and there are both presets and custom equlalizer options in the app to tweak to your liking. Battery life and noise cancellation are both excellent. Now I can work in peace.

Best noise cancellation and sound. Not good comfor

I turned on noise cancelling in a busy restaurant and didn't hear anything. Wish they had xs tips and a place to buy other tips, they are a bit uncomfortable.

A great daily driver

I wear them in a office setting for 10 hours a day and they keep up just fine. Battery life can be a bit shorter when paired to a PC but when paired to a phone they seem to last forever.

They are perfect for working out or just vibing out with. Clear sound, good base and the ambient sound feature is better than my actual hearing. It picks up sounds from distances I cant hear without them and i never have to pause when someone attempts to talk to me.

Fit perfectly and only fall out with vigorous movement. Noise cancelling feature works well. Could be a little louder at max volume. Only issue is that I occasionally pause them on accident with slight touch but no big deal. They just price dropped and were worth it.
