Other than that the product is absolutely amazing, especially with the memory foam ear buds. It takes some getting used to but they are the best ear buds ive ever purchased.

The headphone's adaptive ability is amazing, and the speak-to-talk feature (mutes-pauses your music) that allows you to hear others when you want to and have a conversation is seamless and brilliant. Plus, the noise-canceling feature works better than even my AirPod Pros! Love these headphones! Then the coolest new feature is it allows you to connect to 2 devices at the same time allowing for a seamless transition from one device to another, it's super cool. The only small tweak/suggestion I would have e is the charging case is a bit bulkier than I would have liked,y and it is hard to find protective cases for it, but all in all, they are out there, and it doesn't ruin the experience of these fantastic headphones.

After trying several other brands for an earbud namely: apple, beat and bose, I thought I should just return to my usual and solid choice of SONY headphones. I also have a WH-1000XM4 overhead same color that I use for work so I thought it's certainly a reliable choice. I received these yesterday and was soooo hoping to keep them because sound quality and NC is decent (less so in comparison to overhead which makes sense), but then am stunned with this design!!! Did you guys try it on a couple of your friends ears before releasing this product?!!! There are also some occasional beeps and I dont know where they're coming from as much qs I look at my phone and the sony app...Sadly I have to return this one too. I think there is still a long way for earbuds to incorporate both good design, battery life, proper noise cancelling and decent sound quality as this is still a young product.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.In true Sony fashion, the first thing you notice about these earbuds is the unique design, and the second is the incredible sound quality. I was blown away by how these good earbuds could sound when everything worked properly. Unfortunately, they rarely worked as intended. In LDAC mode, I could not get a stable connection. Even in AAC mode, they were spotty and would sometimes reboot in the middle of listening. I also could only get the right earbud to pair to my phone, so if I wanted to use just one at a time, it had to be the left. That's a minor inconvenience, but it was an issue for me nonetheless. They also did not fit comfortably in my ear no matter what. I didn't mind the foam tips - I liked them even - but the seal they made with my ear loosened as I talked or ate with them in. This would also mess with the active noise cancellation, which was the best I've experienced when it worked, so it was a mess all around. I couldn't recommend anyone buy them until those issues are fixed.

We'd like to help make this a better experience. Please make sure that software of the unit is updated as it includes key features, applications, bug fixes, and feature improvements. When you want to play back music with LDAC, we suggest to set the sound quality mode to the “Priority on sound quality” mode using the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app. In the “Priority on stable connection” mode (factory setting), music cannot be played back with LDAC. When using only one unit of the headset and depending on the headset unit you are wearing, some functions may not be available in the factory settings. With regards the discomforts you are experiencing while wearing the headset. If you've already tried to change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ears, twist the headset unit to fit it snugly into the ear canal and adjust the positioning of the headset unit until it fits comfortably and wait for about 10 seconds for the earbud tip shape to stabilize. The “Sony | Headphones Connect” app will help you to determine which earbud tips are most suitable for you to achieve the optimal noise cancellation effect. Great audio,anc but poor ergonomic design

K why 2 stars reason is these fit horribly. To stay a snug fit aka not pop out,have good bass and make the anc work well they have to be jammed far to much creating annoying pressure in the ear. Ive tried all the plug sizes and even have tried aftermarket ones yet their still uncomfortable. I can wear them max about an hour then they get annoying to point that i take them out. Big problem with these is they dont try to form to the ear. With anc yes a good seal helps a lot but its literally like fitting ear plugs in tight as they can. Sony makes excellent fullsize headphones that are comfy but it was an afterthought with these. I would wait for a redesigned new model they got the tech working great but comfort design department needs fired on this one.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had really high hopes for these buds as I read that the noise cancellation outperformed the airpods pro 2nd generation which is all the rage now. It sounds good and the supporting sony app offers a lot of support in terms of customizing the sounds it produces with the equalizer and switching between modes, but the connection at times is too instable. If I even take one bud off momentarily it will switch to ambient sound. Sometimes the buds will disconnect and reconnect out of nowhere or the app will keep popping in and out on my notifications. The noise cancellation is solid when I listen to music, but there are times when even then I will hear people's voices if they are loud enough. The memory foam is really annoying because it collects earwax very easily. I can't properly clean and wash them because that degrades the memory foam tips. I wanted to try them cause I thought it would be a good experience, but it was a mistake. I can wear them fine,but it's annoying that I have to tilt them inside my ear and also knowing they are going to diminish on their own in the future.

Almost perfect headphones

Eartips did not fit my ears to creat proper seal. Got some eartips off amazon that were all silicone and they created proper seal for audio to sounds better. Sounds quality is good, but feel there are similar quality headphones at a lesser cost. If you love sony then you cant go wrong.

Gently pull up on the top of your ears, put the earbud tips in your ear canal, and then twist the earbuds into place. This makes sure the earbuds are firmly in the ear canal.

Best earbuds ever besides the ear tips

I compared it to my airpods pro and it has a better bass sound to it. The only downside is the ear tips. It gets dirty pretty quick. I don't wear them too often but it looks like the ear tips are already worn out. I would like to get some replacement ear tips but other than that great earbuds.

Do not use water to wash them off.
Do not use alcohol or any chemical to clean them.
Use only a soft dry cloth to wipe them off.
If the earbud tips get wet, drain the liquid well and do not use or place them in the charging case until they are dry.

Started out GREAT but disappointed.

This is very annoying and causes me not to be able to use both ear buds when I am listening to music. I like the size but the WF-1000XM3 lasted better.

Sound clarity: very clear. Bass: just enough to be booming. Other cool features are that you could put these on the same charging pad for airpods, memory foam-like cushions, sleek to the point where people can barely notice you are wearing them, can use either side individually, can change playback controls to even change the volume on either side, etc. Only cons I have have encountered with this is just the bass isn’t consistent when going to higher volumes, the ambient sound control works to an extent, and not that much tweaking in the equalizer settings in the Sony Connect app. Other than these small issues, totally worth it.

The sound quality bass, trebleand mids are all next level. Pair that with the noise canceling, and like Flossy Carter would say they are God tier. They were worth every penny. I only use the most special occasions as I have two other pair of earbuds. I mainly use these for phone and video calls. But what I really want to jam out around the house and just listen to my music where nobody else can hear I will slap these in my ears before any other pair of earbuds or headphones that I own. I recommend downloading the Sony headphone app to adjust the EQ to your settings so you can get the best out of these buds and prioritize either connection or sound quality to your liking

Great little IEM

I find I most often use these WF1000XM4, they are just too handy to put in and go. Stay in my ear well (even when disc golfing or biking) and surprisingly good sound profile. The Sony Headphones app has an equalizer that goes through different adjustments and lets you choose what you like best which is great. I only ever use in noise cancelling mode as the pass through does not work well, so if that is what you are looking for look elsewhere.
