The microphones are terrible and arent good for phone calls the shape is no good for a lot of peoples ears (they fit mine fine but a stem design like the airpods would help with this problem and the microphone one) the battery life is perfect but not being able to adjust the volume on the headphones is a negative. Just put one physical button on the top of both headphones to give volume adjustment. Wearing them for long periods of time is also not comfortable and they fallout alot with movement. Not a fan of the app layout as well but that is a subjective opinion so yea.

While we are glad you love the sound quality and noise canceling features, we're sorry to hear that we were able to meet your full expectations with regards the microphone, volume controls and discomforts while wearing the WF1000XM4 headphones. For the proper sound quality, noise canceling function, and call sound quality to be effective, try to use the right size according to the size of your ears. When wearing them, twist the headset unit to fit it snugly into the ear canal, and adjust the positioning of the headset unit until it fits comfortably and wait for about 10 seconds for the earbud tip shape to stabilize. This should give you a firmer hold and better noise canceling experience. Using the Sony | Headphones Connect app, you may assign the playback volume adjustment function to the touch sensor of the headphones and also helps you to determine which earbud tips are most suitable for you to achieve the optimal noise cancellation effect. Sony Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds

In my opinion the type of music you listen too makes a difference in what you buy, I am more into Jazz which sounds very good but I also love rock and they are not as good (from a bass and fidelity perspective) reproducing that type of sound. I used the noise cancelling on a recent flight to Colombia and they aren't comparable, again, in my opinion, to Bose over ear noise cancelling, not even close. But from a perspective of what is effective they are that and with the music you do not hear your surrounding. The only thing I wish they had was volume control on the earbud vs the device although there is a way in the app to change volume control to the earbud vs advancing to the next song. Overall they are comfortable last about 4 hours on a full charge and connect seamlessly, although as noted by others, in a song with dramatic transients they will cut out (lose the connection) momentarily, for milliseconds, but enough to be annoying if your enjoying the song. Best Buy gives you 30 days to return if you don't like them, so it is worth a try, my second choice would have been the Bose Earbuds, hope to check them out soon...

Amazing! We are so happy to know your satisfaction with the incredible noise canceling feature, long-lasting battery life, very comfortable fit design, and superb performance of the WF-1000XM4. We greatly appreciate your input with the use of only one earbud feature of these headphones. If you are using the WF-1000XM4 without downloading & installing the Headphones Connect App, yet they DO set up/activate Google Assistant: by default, the RIGHT headset is assigned Google Assistant hence by design the LEFT side then cannot be used by itself.
Here are additional troubleshooting steps/issues to consider:
1. Both sides must initially be paired/registered via Bluetooth.
2. If Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa will be used => ensure it is assigned (using HPC - Headphones Connect App) to the side being used.
3. Ensure that the default HPC App settings "Automatic Power Off" and "Pauses when headphones are taken off" are turned ON.
4. If removing the Right headset to use the Left headset by itself: if the Right headset touch sensor is inadvertently touched, you’ll need to restart playback on your smartphone.

I used the different ear piece sizes and they still didn't fit - the headphones even fell out at one point. They are great if you don't move, but take care if you are wearing them while walking (let alone running). I had to return them.

The bass is astonshing for earbuds, only Sony WF-700 earbuds have more bass. I have a Garmin watch with 2000 songs on it and it works great with watch (no intermittent connections as had with wf700), also works well with my Samsung S10+ phone. Just buy them!!

Great Noise Cancelling

I wear these to my gym, which is pretty loud, and with the noise cancelling on, most of the ambient noise just disappears. They sound great as well--very well balanced and detailed. The app allows you to make eq adjustments if you like and adjust the level of noise cancelling. I had the predecessor model (WF1000-XM3) and these sound better and have better noise cancelling. That's not a criticism of the XM3's--they are a great set of ear buds as well, these just improve on an already excellent product. My only complaint is that sometimes other nearby headphones can cause interference. This may be an issue with all wireless headphone models though.

The sound is clear and the noise cancellation is incredible like other reviews said it to be. I use these primarily for work so i wear them for extended periods of time and they manage to fit snug i don't have problems with them sliding out however they can leave me a little sore afterwards but for casual listeners I'd say you'll be just fine. Also wish they can be just a bit louder but they still manage to produce great volume. Overall very happy with my purchase!

I purchased the comply foam tips for the galaxies as well but still wasn't having enough luck with them. These are turning out to be great! Comfort and sound. The interface is a little lengthy and spread out amongst 3 pages vs. the samsung one page and I know they are a little pricey but for serious earbud users I believe these could be your new favorites..I don't usually deviate from Samsung products but in this case I'm happy I did. I was getting a lot of ear itchiness before which has also ceased with the xm4s.

I typically dont think ANC is even necessary for true wireless earbuds, but these are incredible. The only thing is that you basically need to buy new foam ear tips so they are more comfortable to wear for longer periods of time. But once you buy those, these headphones are top notch.
