Pricy, but great sound with LDAC and ANC

I use them mainly at the gym. They work even in the sauna where temps get really high. They don't shut down like other buds that I've tried. In terms of sound quality, LDAC delivers, I love it, but my only issue is that with LDAC on in the gym, it sometimes cuts in and out which is annoying, It's rare but it does happen when it gets crowded. It's likely due to interference from everyone else also using wireless buds at the gym. There is an option to switch to stability mode but that drops it down to AAC codec. ANC works great but you just have to make sure you have the buds fit snug into your ear canal. It includes 3 different size tips, I used the default one that it comes with. Overall, these are great, cost is on the high end but I think it's worth it.

Expensive for a short term investment

The headphones still work and they work great but the case is failing so it doesn’t serve to store and charge the headphones back up. The charge is not holding for very long either. The sound quality is fantastic and noise canceling is a dream. Was inside a noisy gym and turning on noise cancelling killed nearly all the external sound and I hadn’t engaged music at that point. If they would make ot possible to service the case I might rate it higher but I don’t see any support for older headphones and the charging case. Connectivity is good. No issues there but don’t plan on swapping easily.

Great Gift for an Audiophile on the Go

My friend is a bit of an audiophile and usually opts for over-the-ear headphones as they tend to offer a better music seal and he was pretty adamant that there were no earbuds that could replace them. After looking at a few other reviews for these Sony buds, I got them as a gift for his birthday and after tuning them to his liking are they his daily go-to!

I'm speaking as someone who's experience with true wireless earbuds started with the OG Galaxy Buds, and while they were my main driver, I've tried a few other pairs, and nothing really compared to them. I never really delved into the Apple ecosystem, but I don't think I'll really need to with these. The Air Pod Pros really do have a good competitor in these buds, and I'm super happy to own them. The sound quality is top notch, 360 Audio, while kind of gimmicky, is really cool for a kick. I seriously love these ear buds and don't know what I would do without them. The only detractor I could say is the hinge feels a little wobbly out the gate, and I have a friend who has these who has had the same problem.

But for the active noise cancellation that works independently whether you’re using one earbud or both, the EQ settings via Sony’s dedicated app, and the sound quality… I promise you these are perfect:) However… Ergonomically they aren’t comfortable at first until you try the different earpiece sizes to find what works for you. Which is also why I didn’t rate them with 5 stars. But if you’re looking for customization and superior noise cancellation with good bass (on wireless earbud standards) these might be what you’re looking for.

Our WF100XM4 are supplied with different sizes of earbud tips so that you can achieve the maximum effects of the earbuds. In designing these headphones, we also consider the ear canals sizes as it varies from person to person, and can also vary in size from the left to the right sides. To keep the headphones from falling out and for comfortable listening experience, we recommend selecting the right size earbud tips and wearing the earbuds properly. Gently pull up on the top of your ears, put the earbud tips in your ear canal, and then twist the earbuds into place. This makes sure the earbuds are firmly in the ear canal.

The old over the ears ones then 5 or 6 pairs of the QC20 (I never went to the wireless ones), but these Sony’s are amazing and the Noise cancelling is better than Bose ones I’ve owned. The sound isolation and noise canceling work really, really well. Personally, I like the foam tips as long as you’re comfortable dealing with putting them in right (squish them and then hold them in for a few secs to let them mold to your ears)…kinda like ear plug. I’d def purchase again

The sound quality is amazing, crisp, and full. The comfort is such that I'll forget I'm wearing them in ambient sound mode. The active noise cancelling allows me to fly or mow the lawn while listening to my music at a normal level instead of having to blast it to barely hear anything. The ambient sound mode allows me to run outside or ride my bicycle and still be aware of traffic and other hazards while listening to music. The last year of ownership has been bliss, and I looked forward to years of continued use. Until yesterday. The day before yesterday, I had plenty of charge in the case and the buds to last several more days before needing another charge. Yesterday, they were dead and would not charge. There was no LED indicator. I tried various cables and chargers that I had previously been able to use and worked on my phone after failing to charge the case and buds. I tried the wireless charging pad that I had been my primary method to charge and subsequently successfully charged my phone. I tried charging just the case without the buds in it. I checked to see if it was charging and the LED indicators were just not lighting up. Nope. D-E-A-D dead. These earbuds were not abused. They were not used in extreme environments. They were not exposed to moisture beyond my sweat while working out. They were not constantly left on the charger or allowed to fully discharge causing battery degradation. They were a significant investment for me, and I treated them as such. Two days ago they operated fine and had battery capacity very close to new. Yesterday they were dead. For the record, I am not complaining about the warranty here, even though it did just expire 17 days ago. Even if they died within the warranty period, they would still get the same 3 star review due to the failure so quickly. Most of the 4 and 5 star reviews are fairly new into ownership. So I don't know if my experience is the outlier, or if everyone else is as wowed as I was off the bat, write the review early into ownership, and then face the same longevity issue I did. But this is my experience. 5 stars without a question for how they work. I would give 0 stars for durability if I could. That averages to 3. If $280 isn't that much to you, or if you are willing to take the risk, they're great while they work.

Great Amazing earbuds long battery life A+ sound

I have piercings and every review I find on earbuds does not include someone with piercings. First I’m a female not that that matters but I have smaller inner ears so the bose don’t fit but these oh my god after searching and searching I finally found my love of earbuds. The battery life lasts forever it seems. I clean for work so I use them 3 hrs in the am and 6-7 hours at night 5/week and I’ve never had them die or drain it seems. The case is small unlike others I’ve seen. Wireless charger or cord charging. The sound quality to me is amazing !!!! There is an app you can use for settings etc and to change settings and presets. The tap feature actually works well unlike some others I’ve tried. I have the airpod pros and while I love them sometimes I notice they randomly fall out of my ear and they fit nice and snug that and because I use earbuds so much I really wanted an alternative pair for a back up well my AirPods became my backup. I didn’t think I was guna love these as much as I do. One thing to note them come with the memory foam eartips I actually went to Amazon and bought replacements as well as the silicone replacement tips for these and found them to work better only thing is you need the memory foam tips for noise cancellation in the wind. But there easy enough to change out that you can. Also the noise cancellation is amazing I don’t ever put these all the way up for volume but if I did I couldn’t hear for miles lol. If you wana spend the money get these. I’ve tried the new beats and didn’t like them I’ve tried Bose and their too big these are perfect especially for smaller ears.

They stay in my ears.so i don't have to keep on readjusting them to stay in place. The sound quality is very descent and so is the the noise canceling. Sad but wonder

Do not update these headphones. Or just avoid them just for that reason. Besides that these are the best ear buds i ever had sucks that the update ruined them

If you are a person need be connected day by day I would recommend this guys you can do all, and if you need concentrated you’ll have the best sound cancelling all time with the best sound ever. If you are musician you will do as much as anyone if you practice create or any you have in mind believe and not look any other, and very plus you can use it if you are an active person gym train jogging. Money worth it 100%.
