But, the foam tips that come with them are quite uncomfortable if you plan on wearing longer than a hour or two. Maybe it’s just me. Ended up buying silicone replacement tips and these are close to my favorite headphones now. In my opinion more comfortable than their over ear big brothers. But the noise canceling is not perfect. They don’t block as much as their big brothers or as much as AirPods Pro (they are miles more comfortable and sound better than the AirPods in my opinion though). If you have had any Sony headphones in the past and like their sound signature, you’ll likely love these. But be ready to order silicone ear tips. The app for Sony headphones is simple enough to use as well. Just takes a second to set up and normally won’t cause any issues (it’s not needed to use the headphones, it’s just a companion app for customization)

Of course, the noise cancellation is very good, but the sound quality for music is surprisingly good as well. And they are comfortable to wear; there is some magic ureathane foam in the bud tips.

Custom EQ can make the sound better and personalized. ANC is one of the best. Ear tips start hurting if I wear during long flight. For ear tip, Bose and Airpods Pro are more comfy.

It does not have the best ANC (Bose does). It does not have the best sound (B&W PI7 does). Is it the most comfortable earbuds? No (AirPods pro is...at least for me). However, it shines in the App, EQ, and featured-rich earbud that comes with talk to chat, Ambient sound, long battery life, and excellent ANC. It has all of the good features in one place. Big Kudos: Huge improvement from XM3. However, the reason that I did not give five stars is Comfort. That's number one on my list. If the bud is not comfortable, you can't wear it for hours on end. It does not matter whether you have 24 hour-battery life or the best ANC or best sound if you can't wear it for more than an hour because of the shape. The best earbud would shape like beats studio bud with the sound of Sony, Transparency/microphone like Airpods Pro, and ANC of Bose. I would buy that earbud in a heart beat.

As far as your experience with discomforts. These headphones comes with different sizes of earbuds to ensure there is a great fit for all ear sizes and an optimal noise canceling experience. As a suggestion, to reduce discomfort while wearing the headphones, try to use the right size according to the size of your ears. When wearing them, please gently pull on the top of your ear as you twist the earbud into your ear. This should give you a firmer hold and better noise canceling experience.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Im a audio guy my ears are very picky when it comes to sound let me explain the pros&cons of these earbuds. so lets start at first i bought the BOSE quiet comfort earbuds well dont make the same mistake i did BOSE really dropped the ball and failed. so i dont know if i had a bad set or what but i wasnt getting another set to find out when you have a samsung watch also connected , it will backfeed. you will hear the frequency sounds from the watch i heard static popping treble echo just horrible. i tried everything too disconnected re conncted , different music apps , using different sources same outcome EVERY TIME. so returned them and i picked up these the Xm4s first off your going to notice the footorint of the case is much smaller nore pocket n user friendly to have in your pocket. pairing was simple as taking both earbuds out of the case and there paired first time. now i wanted to try listen to the 360 audio BUT even though your given a free trial after that its $20 a month to me not worth it. so onwward......we started with some keys from phil collins the highs n vocals are nothing less of phenomenal the treble mid tones all on point. the fitment into your ears 200x more comfortable then the BOSE. also dont stick out no where near as far. after lets put in something with some kick in the drums so to ac/dc it was the deep bass in clean not muffled at all n low enough to have a slight rumble but not to much to where it sounds fabricated , an of course last but certainly not least edm electronic that deep punchy low bass an this is always the worst to follow but these buds did amazing. audio wise overall sony raised the bar to push BOSE out of the wall each frequency each note each nid tone all phenomenal very very close to my shure headset. now my hands are pretty bug i wish the case was just a little bit bigger so buds could be easier to grab but i know thats because eco friendly and i respect that. this might be a long review but i hope this helps many.

The old over the ears ones then 5 or 6 pairs of the QC20 (I never went to the wireless ones), but these Sony’s are amazing and the Noise cancelling is better than Bose ones I’ve owned. The sound isolation and noise canceling work really, really well. Personally, I like the foam tips as long as you’re comfortable dealing with putting them in right (squish them and then hold them in for a few secs to let them mold to your ears)…kinda like ear plug. I’d def purchase again

Pricy, but great sound with LDAC and ANC

I use them mainly at the gym. They work even in the sauna where temps get really high. They don't shut down like other buds that I've tried. In terms of sound quality, LDAC delivers, I love it, but my only issue is that with LDAC on in the gym, it sometimes cuts in and out which is annoying, It's rare but it does happen when it gets crowded. It's likely due to interference from everyone else also using wireless buds at the gym. There is an option to switch to stability mode but that drops it down to AAC codec. ANC works great but you just have to make sure you have the buds fit snug into your ear canal. It includes 3 different size tips, I used the default one that it comes with. Overall, these are great, cost is on the high end but I think it's worth it.

If you are a person need be connected day by day I would recommend this guys you can do all, and if you need concentrated you’ll have the best sound cancelling all time with the best sound ever. If you are musician you will do as much as anyone if you practice create or any you have in mind believe and not look any other, and very plus you can use it if you are an active person gym train jogging. Money worth it 100%.

The sound quality is amazing, crisp, and full. The comfort is such that I'll forget I'm wearing them in ambient sound mode. The active noise cancelling allows me to fly or mow the lawn while listening to my music at a normal level instead of having to blast it to barely hear anything. The ambient sound mode allows me to run outside or ride my bicycle and still be aware of traffic and other hazards while listening to music. The last year of ownership has been bliss, and I looked forward to years of continued use. Until yesterday. The day before yesterday, I had plenty of charge in the case and the buds to last several more days before needing another charge. Yesterday, they were dead and would not charge. There was no LED indicator. I tried various cables and chargers that I had previously been able to use and worked on my phone after failing to charge the case and buds. I tried the wireless charging pad that I had been my primary method to charge and subsequently successfully charged my phone. I tried charging just the case without the buds in it. I checked to see if it was charging and the LED indicators were just not lighting up. Nope. D-E-A-D dead. These earbuds were not abused. They were not used in extreme environments. They were not exposed to moisture beyond my sweat while working out. They were not constantly left on the charger or allowed to fully discharge causing battery degradation. They were a significant investment for me, and I treated them as such. Two days ago they operated fine and had battery capacity very close to new. Yesterday they were dead. For the record, I am not complaining about the warranty here, even though it did just expire 17 days ago. Even if they died within the warranty period, they would still get the same 3 star review due to the failure so quickly. Most of the 4 and 5 star reviews are fairly new into ownership. So I don't know if my experience is the outlier, or if everyone else is as wowed as I was off the bat, write the review early into ownership, and then face the same longevity issue I did. But this is my experience. 5 stars without a question for how they work. I would give 0 stars for durability if I could. That averages to 3. If $280 isn't that much to you, or if you are willing to take the risk, they're great while they work.
