Maybe 10 minutes if im lucky. And i can't find my receipt to just EXCHANGE them, but they wont let me.! I don't like writing reviews like this, but best buy should atleast alow exchanges of defaulted equipment.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had AirPod Pros before these, but after a year the Airpods' noise cancelling starting making high-pitched whining noises if I moved around at all, so that made the NC pretty useless. I was never too impressed with their NC to begin with, and the Sony XM4's NC is amazing in comparison. It blocks out almost everything. There's also location-based or activity-based settings so they will automatically switch noise cancelling settings based on what you prefer for each location or activity (sitting, walking, running, etc.). They have wind cancellation too, which doesn't completely get rid of the wind noise, but it does reduce it noticeably. The speak-to-chat feature is another thing I like that the AirPods didn't have, where just speaking automatically pauses the sound and lets outside sound in for 5, 15, or 30 seconds based on what you prefer. You can also customize equalizer settings and how much sound you want to come through from your environment when the noise cancelling is off. The battery life is better too, and they've never run out of battery over the course of a day, whereas I had to let the AirPods charge periodically to keep them from dying. Last but not least, the sound quality is much, much better on these. The only features I miss are easily/automatically switching from one Apple device to another, and accessing Siri isn't as convenient with these. Overall though I'm glad to have gotten these even though they don't fit into the Apple ecosystem as well. They're definitely worth it so far.

Great Noise Cancelling, Mic needs work

My husband uses them while on a riding mower and says that they even cancel out that noise A LOT! I love the different sound settings and the battery life is great. My only complaint is that if you use them to talk on, the party on the other end will here all of the ambient sound wherever you are. It does not cancel out background noise when you are speaking. I’ve had to resort back to my old school “plug into the phone” headphones for that. If you’re wanting to use these primarily for listening, then they’re an incredible buy! Probably my favorite. But if you’re wanting some to speak on, you may want to consider options.

My air pod pros stopped working and I was going to buy a replacement but they were sold out at the time so I got the Sonys. The noise cancelling is not as good at the pros. They aren’t as loud either. Also, I fell asleep with one in my ear and it randomly FaceTimed my ex from years ago at 330am. The random calling keeps hanging. Unfortunately I just passed the 30 days to return. On a positive note, I have small ears and they aren’t too big and a good fit. I was afraid they were going to be too big. They have a ton of cool features but I’ve realized I need none of them. I will be purchasing the pros again and using these as back up most likely.

Superior sound quality but uncomfortable to wear

I was really impressed with its excellent sound quality and battery life. The sound is rich and enjoyable when compared to Galaxy buds plus. The noise cancelling works extremely well. It instantly cancels almost any noise around you. I was extremely happy with it but returned it after a week. Why? Because it was extremely uncomfortable to wear for my small ears. Plus my ears start to itch after a couple of hours of wearing them. On the other hand, my Galaxy buds plus is extremely comfortable to wear and I can wear them the whole day if I want. If sony xm4 had the same level of comfort, it should be the king of wireless earbuds. I would not recommend it if comfort is your top requirement, especially if you have small ears. Otherwise it is a must buy.

Noise cancelling is on par with the Bose and sound quality. Comfort is good, wear them mainly at work and wearing them 4 to 6 hours at a time usually just one side at a time is fine. Battery life is good as well, haven't tested running them down all the way yet but seems as though could get 8 hours out of them easily. Would recommend these buds.

The ONLY negative thing I have to say about them is the fit might not be the most comfortable for a very narrow group of people. Beyond that they are some of the best headphones I have heard, and I have heard a lot. I am a part-time audiophile. I own AKG 712 pro, Beyerdynamic DT 1990 pro and Audeze iSine 20. I bought the WF-1000XM4 for the noise cancelling. However, I was completely blown away by the sound. The sound stage is very surprisingly wide. I mean wide. For a closed back headphone it is almost spooky. The imaging is incredible as well. I was not expecting this to be so great here but I have been completely blown away. The Sony App has a few useful pre-crafted EQ settings that really showcase the capabilities in all ranges. The only negative (and it is small) is the fit. It seems the WF-1000XM4 use the bowl part of the ear (best description I have) to secure itself firmly. I could see how someone with small ears could find this uncomfortable after long periods of use. However, I have smaller ears and do not find this a problem after installing the small foam tips and played around with the fit a while. Bottom line is the noise cancelling is obviously great. Sony is one of the best. The sound was the big surprise here. Just outstanding sounding headphones. I do not see how anyone could be disappointed with this purchase.

Excellent sound and good noise cancellation. Would recommend keeping the case on a keychain I misplace mine often.

Amazing sound, solid fit and comfort, but then the infamous right side battery issue but then. Currently I only get 20 minutes of better charge out of the right earbud. 20. Minutes. If you Google the model and battery issue you'll see that this is a rampant problem. So if you want to spend several hundred dollars on headphones with built in obsolescence, stick with Sony and their limited warranty. Held a charge just as long as my Bose ones, and excellent clarity and bass depth. Until last month…the right bud loses it charge (100% - 0) in less than 30min. I have always alternated which side to put in ears to prevent one from too much strain on the battery by being the mic. I’m now trying to get AmEx to help with an extended warranty cuz these are only 1.5ys old.

The sound quality is pretty good and had good bass as well. My biggest issue was the size of the audio engine and how it fits in my ear. It was too big and after wearing it for a while, I would get ear fatigue and wouldn't be able to wear it much longer. My other gripe was that the earphones would stop playing music as soon as I took one out, whereas the Samsung Buds pro would continue to play even if one was taken out. Ultimately had to return them because as much as I liked them, I couldn't see myself using it long term
