They do sound really good, but not king of the hill good. Noise cancellation is top tier. Comfort was honestly the biggest problem. They hurt my ears with less than an hours use. The Bose qc earbuds, although a little more money, have better noise canceling, great sound with an equalizer in the app now and extremely comfortable. The Sony xm4 just wasn’t a good fit for me.

As a suggestion, to reduce discomfort while wearing the headphones, try to use the right size according to the size of your ears. It took about three months to feel comfortable wearing them for long periods of time.

They're fantastic. Fit is a bit big. The housing is a little awkward and the foam tips are not what I'm used to, but I get a great seal. The noise cancelling is legit and the ambient sound mode is also nice though not as good as the Galaxy Bud Pros. Sound quality is fantastic for ear buds and I like the design of the case and minimal packaging. I recommend these 100%. Well worth the money.

So many extra functions but they were too soft in volume. I had to return them because the kept cutting out due to my Galaxy Phone being too old.

We are sorry to hear about the low volume level and sound cuts out while playing music on my earbud headphones. Your feedback about the low sound level is greatly appreciated. The earbud headphones use left and right simultaneous Bluetooth transmission method. This means the Bluetooth connection stability is improved compared to more conventional headphones. However, intermittent audio, or no audio may occur under the following situations:
• In a location where the Wi-Fi signal is inconsistent, such as on a train, an airport, or rail station
• When using in an environment with a congested Wi-Fi signal, near to other wireless audio devices using Wi-Fi, microwaves, phones.
For this, set the Sound quality mode to Priority on stable connection. You can adjust the volume of the headphones and the connected device according to your preference. You may also play different song with different quality to further isolate the issue. High-quality songs will give you louder audio. We also recommended updating the firmware of the headphones (via the Sony Headphones Connect app) for optimum performance.
We regret to know the headphones had to be returned. We hope you will consider Sony again in a future purchase. Thanks again for the feedback.

Form factor improves on the previous generation. However tis comes with a decrease in case battery life. Headphones have slightly decreased range, but still provide a decent distance of connectivity. A great buy for those looking for good sound and a case that fit comfortably in the pocket.

I would say these are better than Airpods Pros in every facet except one (for me at least) and that would be ergonomics/fit. These hurt my ears after wearing them for about 5 minutes, as they were just too large for my ears I guess. I actually wound up returning these as I could not justify a $300 pair of in-ears if they were not comfy.

One of my favorite features is being able to activate and deactivate the noise canceling which is great for me at work when i encounter customers. Earbuds clutch during flights as well. Another update came, and now the battery doesnt last that long and thats really frustrating.

They are amazing. Noise cacellation at its finest. Feels like youre wearing earmuffs. They quality of the sound is un-comparable as well. I have never had headphones/earphones of this quality.. Definitely worth the original price at $280.00

With a quick update they support multi devices and switching is easy with the app. I find the sound quality comparable to the Sony WH1000XM4 and given how portable these are they win hands down.

Noise cancelling feature has slipped

Unfortunately they disappeared, so I bought this pair. This new pair's noise cancelling is no where near as good - I honestly don't notice much difference between the noise cancelling and ambient sound settings. I don't know if Sony changed something or I got a defective pair. I am going to exchange this and try another. Other than the noise cancelling on this pair, I love the sound - excellent. I wish the fit was a little better for keeping them in my ears for activities. No problems when I am sitting, but they can pop out once in a while when I take them for a run.

Different sizes of earbud tips are supplied so that you can achieve the maximum effects of the earbuds. Ear canals vary in size from person to person, and can also vary in size from the left to the right sides. To keep the headphones from falling out, please select the right size earbud tips. We also recommend wearing the earbuds properly.
Gently pull up on the top of your ears, put the earbud tips in your ear canal, and then twist the earbuds into place. This makes sure the earbuds are firmly in the ear canal.
