    I bought these for my 31-y/o son's birthday (just before Christmas), with very little guidance (other than online reviews, etc.). I did know that he used a "non-iPhone", and - while there were a few that were designed specifically for certain Android-based features and apps - I felt that he might benefit from having a model with more diverse features than "specific compatibility" (and I knew he wouldn't be able to truly appreciate all the other great attributes, if they were designed primarily for AOS platform). I went to my "local" Best Buy, and received outstanding guidance from the Team member assisting me! He quickly helped me narrow down, and ultimately landed on this Sony pair (one of my "short list" candidates before coming to the store). I was also extremely pleased that there was in-store availability of each of the models I was considering (often not the case with many other retailers...), which made the experience even better! My son confirmed that the earphones have truly been "all that" and more: sound quality, noise canceling capability, adaptability, ease of use/operation (and access to features), and tremendous functionality; all things considered, and couldn't be more pleased! That makes it a worthwhile purchase with great value to me...!

    These are a massive step-up from the 1000XM3s I had prior. From sound quality to noise cancelling to battery life. These have been improved DRASTICALLY. I love them. I can wear them all day, and I mostly do. 10/10- definitely recommend.

    They're very aesthetically pleasing and comfortable however I didn't like what felt like a limited volume. I just couldn't get the music loud enough.

    Such great sound and noise canceling ruined by bad batteries. My earbuds started dying in under an hour after a year. Apparently this is an issue. Sucks because it seems to happen to everyone after the manufacturer waranty ends. I have yet to get then repaired.

    Very comfortable headphones that work great. You can use one or both at the same time, depending on your mood. Lasts twice as long as my last set and recharging is quick and easy. Minor connection problems sometimes but you just have to return them to the case to reset the signal.

    Highly recommend using these with an Android phone, since iPhones can't take advantage of the high quality audio LDAC Bluetooth codec unique to Sony devices. noise canceling works great, battery life is good, they could be more comfortable for extended wear.

    I bought these maybe two years ago, but unfortunately they were stolen about four months ago. I bought the exact same pair because that’s just how great of a product this is. The musical he comes out, pretty pristine, and the app that lets you adjust the sound quality makes it even that much better than the rest.

    I was extremely excited to get these. Sadly, I could not get the left earbud with the large fitting to seal my ear canal. It felt like it was hanging off a bit. Additionally, I could not "feel" the sound enough, especially the bass, even with the EQ tweaked. So, I thought I'd give the Bose a try. Aside from the size, the noise canceling is significantly better and I prefer the sound in the Bose. I hated the cheap eco friendly packaging on the Sony. A huge turn off, for me. Jabra 75t Active are nice for a midrange pair if you're looking.

    Some people like to review products after a short period of time. I like to wait. I've owned the Sony WF1000XM4 wireless earbuds for 15 months and the batteries are already dying. The sound quality was good, but for over $100 per earbud I expected better quality and longevity.

    Great sounding, incredible noise cancellation, but ultimately call quality, fit and lack of multi point connectivity were too big negatives and led me to return them. My ears were on fire after wearing on a 3 hour flight. Got a little better with after market silicon ear buds, but not enough to keep them. Found myself constantly adjusting the buds to keep them from hurting my ears. Deal breaker was call quality. On a zoom call with a fan on and in a restaurant, people could not hear me. Jabra Elite 85t’s are much better

      Hi Hookem, While we're glad to hear you like the great sound and incredible noise cancelation of the WF-1000XM4, we regret to know that the unit had to be returned. If the size of the earbud tips does not match the size of your ear canals or the headset is not properly worn on your ears, you may not obtain a comfortable fit, proper sound qualities or call performances with the unit.

      If any of this is the case, try the following.
      Change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ears. When changing the earbud tips, try the earbud tip sizes in order from the larger ones to the smaller ones. The size of the left and right earbud tips may be different.
      The “Sony | Headphones Connect” app will help you to determine which earbud tips are most suitable for you to achieve the optimal noise cancellation effect.
      Check if the headset is properly worn on your ears. Wear the headset so that the earbud tip is comfortably situated as deep in the ear canal as possible.

    Great sound quality, great active noise cancelling (ANC), and decent comfort. I did replace the stock tips with some foam tips, which helped some. I used these for at least 10 round trip flights since I bought these, and the ANC is truly excellent. Battery life is solid too. I recommend these!
