Good Buds but expensive

Not built for frequent constant users

About a year in, held charge for shorter durations with continued use. Even with swapping from one ear to the other to insure longevity and use for my long work days. Not for someone who talks more than four hours daily. Great for workouts and minimal conversationists

I was expecting to hear the best sounding earbuds in the market. To my surprise it did not meet expectations. It was lacking the bass you can find in a JBL. The sound lacked the quality you expect from this high end model. The noise canceling was amazing and the best of any earbuds I've tried. Overall it was not worth the price.

These earbuds won’t disappoint

The noise cancellation and sound quality are their strongest attributes. Noise cancellation is much better than the Apple AirPods Pro’s NC and even the Bose QuietComfort earbuds’. Sound quality is also much better than those. On the Sony XM4s, the mid and low frequencies are much more pronounced and are punchier. The charging case is also wireless charging capable which is a plus. The XM4s’ fit took a little to get use to. They are definitely on the bulkier side, but after a little getting use to, they fit fine and don’t fall out of my ears during movement. The only cons I found were the ambient sound mode, which was subpar compared to the Apple AirPods Pro’s. Overall, a very solid pair of earbuds and I highly recommend.

I usually use them for work for listening to music or just having something playing in the background. It is also really easy to switch Bluetooth pairing for when I have a teams meeting. They also don't pick up all the other background noise in the office.

Im disappointed, i had higher expectations.

They aren't loud enough even with the volume all the way up. The bass is not loud enough even after tuning with the equalizer. I couldn't get the left earbud to connect independently to my phone without the right one. The right one however worked fine independently. Also for some reason the left earbud wouldn't charge past 80%. Overall these would be good for around $200. I'd stick with airpod pros, they give you more bang for your buck. I returned these yesterday.

If the size of the earbud tips does not match the size of your ear canals or the headset is not properly worn on your ears, tap operations or the speech detection of Speak-to-Chat may not be successful, or you may not obtain proper sound qualities, noise-canceling effects, or call performances.
If any of this is the case, try the following.
Change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ears. When changing the earbud tips, try the earbud tip sizes in order from the larger ones to the smaller ones. The size of the left and right earbud tips may be different.
The “Sony | Headphones Connect” app will help you to determine which earbud tips are most suitable for you to achieve the optimal noise cancellation effect.
Check if the headset is properly worn on your ears. Wear the headset so that the earbud tip is comfortably situated as deep in the ear canal as possible.
You can remove one unit of the headset from the charging case and use the unit by itself.
In this case, only the unit that has been removed from the charging case will turn on. But, you will have to pair both earbuds to your Bluetooth device initially.
If the charge indicator shows that it couldn't get past 80%, please try to initialize the headset. Also, make sure that the firmware is up to date.

They sounded great out of the box, but I played around with some custom EQs and the wavelet app. So far I'm digging the auto eq setting on the wavelet app best.

Lost headphones not searchable on iOS

If you have an android they are great, but if you have an iPhone and forget where you put them, there is no way to ring them or check last know location. This technology has been around for years and is standard on all the other headphones I have owned, but these $250 earbuds don’t come with this feature.

A new standard for me

Battery life has been stellar especially since I don't typically use ANC during my usual usage periods. Wireless charging on the case allows me to keep the case charged day-to-day without worrying about them dying during the day. New design is a huge improvement over the XM3s bulky design but they can be a bit uncomfortable at times compared to the Galaxy Buds. Would have preferred a greater variety for the tip selection but the included foam tips work great for me. Overall, a great first pair with premium features even though the price for these feels like they could be a little lower compared to the previous generation.

The reality was somewhat disappointing to say the least. The music listening was good and I was happy with that but when I would talk on my phone the other person listening said they sucked with the background noise that came through compared my BP. I was so hopeful but there to expensive to have such a disappointing noise canceling feature.

My only gripe is that they don't really feel secure in my ears. I have heard they don't fit well in small ears but I fall more in the Dumbo category. My guess is that the foam tip is made of a material that doesn't adhere to ear wax. Doesn't adhere to ears well either.

Great sound and versatility; missing multipoint

Better than my Jabras; better than the Pixel Bud As. And, I love the fact that each bud can maintain an independent solo connection -- when I'm using them for phone calls and video chats, it's like having infinite battery life (since I can charge one bud while using the other one). But I miss the multipoint connection that my Jabras had. Every time I want to use the buds, I have to reconnect them in my Bluetooth settings. That's a hassle.

Great sound & noise cancellation, poor life span

Not as great as the WH series, but when you need something on the go these are excellent. After just under two years the batteries gave out. Oh well, I guess it's time to upgrade to the WF-1000XM5.
