The buds are a little large but fit well with the different ear molds. The noise canceling works well and I constantly am being yelled at by my parents because I can not hear them as they try to get my attention. I miss some of the apple device features but they are not a deal breaker for me.

Quality Ear Buds

I’ve had issues with fit before but these stay in perfectly. and even without the active noise cancelling activated there is some isolation so the sound is great. The App can tune the sound to be perfect. I used them for podcasts and was able to tune it so that the voices were great and not overly modulated (which would have been better for music). That being said I listened to Spotify some and it sounded great too. They allow for controls on the end of the earbuds. I’m still learning them but they are really responsive. So far I haven’t recharged them and I’ve had them for a few weeks and used them 8 hours or so. Worth the money if you want quality ear buds for all kinds of activities

Bose ear buds are Amazing but the wing to hold earbud in place would hurt over time. The Galaxy buds worked amazing aswell but hurt my inner ear aswell. Airpod pros aswell. So when these came out, rhat same week I got them. INLOVE! no more sore ears and the hybrid foam eartips slide in and expand giving you an excellent seal. It has most of the same features as the other high end earbuds but adds the Speak-to-Chat function that will automatically pause noise cancelling and amplify ambient sound without the mics picking up those loud noises you get with other ambient sound earbuds. Battery life is the BEST! Long shifts demand battery consumsion. These last me my 12+ hour shifts easily with 1 short charge time of 15min in case. I use them all day in a automotive paintshop and cant complain.

Ive gone on a few walks, so far no problems with them moving around in my ear. Id say the only problem with them is if i dont get them in my ear correctly theyll make my ears sore but thats only happeneed a couple times so far.

As for the discomfort that you are experiencing while wearing the unit, this may be resolved by using the right size according to the size of your ears and when wearing them, gently pull the top of your ear as you twist the earbud into your ear and adjust the positioning of the headset unit until it fits comfortably. Good buds

Does an excellent job minimizing outside noises. I use these early in the morning and when im trying to get sleepy at night with only one complaint so far. After about an hours use my ear is a little sore. I'm sure its from still getting used to them compared to my old pair of cheap ones. The soreness is getting less with each time i wear them.

The WF-1000XM4 earbud headphones may fall out or feel uncomfortable during use if they are not worn properly or the earbud tips doesn't match the size of your ear canals.
• Check that you are wearing the headset properly in your ears. We have a recommended way of wearing these earbud headphones to reduce discomfort.
• Different sizes of earbud tips are supplied so that you can achieve the maximum effects of the earbuds. Ear canals vary in size from person to person, and can also vary in size from the left to the right sides.
Select a proper size that feels comfortable when worn before using the earbuds.
• If you wear the headset for a long time, your ears may start hurting. Use the headset while taking breaks periodically.

Worked well while they worked...

Great lightweight alternative for work calls while WFH, and music during quick walks as opposed to my favorite WH-1000XM4. Key phrase "while they worked". Picked these up in 2022. Now they won't hold a charge in case or buds. While on a call, they do this odd thing. From 100% charge, then 5 min in, disconnects in and out of bt call, then beep, then "low battery". Then "about 10% battery remaining". beep. "Low battery". All while on a call. Never been dropped or damaged. Having second thoughts about buying again. And from what I've read, the wfxm5's are more or less an inferior product compared to the xm4s.

I switched from the OnePlus Buds Pro, and I have to say that the difference in audio quality and noise canceling is huge. Would definitely get another pair for a friend or for a gift.

The ANC seemed to work very well. I had no issue pairing with any device. My lone issue, which was a deal breaker, was that they do not get loud enough for my preferred music listening level. I really wanted to love these, but I ended up returning them.

Amazing earbuds with a pricey tag

Sony really needs to step up their naming strategies. As advertised, this pair of ear buds do not disappoint. I am absolutely stunned by the ambient sound feature. There is a level of crispness about the sound that is hard to describe unless you try it yourself. It's almost like I can hear the world better with this pair of earbuds on better than my own ears. I absolutely love the adaptive noise cancelling feature. The noise cancelling feature is amazing as well. Not much to say there, many have done well in ANC, so has this pair. However, there is a perpetual low hum when nothing is playing. Which I guess is just something that comes with ANC. In terms of comfortness, it is not very comfortable. It even hurts a little to wear more than a hour in the beginning. The huge circular earshape presses against my the soft bone of my ears. After using it for about a month, I've gotten use to it. However, it is still uncomfortable during long wears, for me, the limits is around 3 hours. In terms of sound, I am no audiophile. I think it's amazing for my use. Just some music playing. All in all, t's an amazing earbud, but I am keeping it at 4 stars. And the reason being, it's too pricey. I believe Sony can do alot better in pricing if they want to, but they don't. In direct competition with the Airpods, WF100XM4 is not cheaper, but more pricey than the Airpods. I believe the WF100XM4 could sell alot more and actually takeover if the price is lower or equal to the pricing of the Airpods.

You may be experiencing a symptom called listener fatigue. That is where your eardrums work hard to manage the volume that flows through your ear canal. The louder the volume, the bigger the strain on your eardrums, which then causes the feeling of fatigue. Try lowering the volume or take a break from wearing them for a while.
Different sizes of earbud tips are supplied so that you can achieve the maximum effects of the earbuds. Ear canals vary in size from person to person, and can also vary in size from the left to the right sides. To keep the headphones from falling out, please select the right size earbud tips. We also recommend wearing the earbuds properly.
Gently pull up on the top of your ears, put the earbud tips in your ear canal, and then twist the earbuds into place. This makes sure the earbuds are firmly in the ear canal.
Other than that, the WF1000XM4 is designed to provide incredible audio performance and take noise cancellation to the next level. Spectacular, not for small ears

They are totally superb - sound quality, build quality, noise cancelling and UX are best in class. Unfortunately I have apparently smaller than average ears and they caused significant pain pressing against the rib inside my ear after 2+ hours of use. Tried repeatedly but had to return.

I'm not bothering by the different design of the earbuds. These fit perfect in my ears and I don't have any fears of them about to fall out either. They're also very comfortable. I have worn them on a vacation trip recently and I've had them in my ear for a solid 3 and half hours. The sound quality is amazing to. I would say wait for a sale however. The price is a bit up there for what you get.

If the earbuds are not worn properly, do not fit your ears, or the air-tightness is insufficient, the phone call quality may decrease. To maintain the quality, consider these factors:
• Make sure that headphones are worn properly.
• Select the earbuds that best fit with your ears. Measure the air-tightness of the earbud tips and find the optimal size of earbud tips using the Sony | Headphones Connect app.

Sony vs AirPods Pro

Sony has superior sound quality and noise cancellation. Unfortunately, the Sony would not fit correctly and not comfortably in my ears - would fall out frequently when working out and would hurt my ear canals after wearing for a while. Ended up returning and buying AirPods Pro. Would have kept the Sony’s if the fit was better and more comfortable.
