It was worth every penny. Before this pair of earbuds, I didn’t even know that existed. The sound stage is fantastic. The sound feels very open, especially when combined with spatial audio. They are a little bulky, but they fit snuggly in my ears. I don’t worry about them falling out. Some folks complain of ear pain. I did have some discomfort for a couple of weeks as my ears got used to them. However, I have no ear pain now. Having experienced this with another type of headset, I knew that the discomfort may go away with time. The trick is to use them nearly everyday. The discomfort gradually increases, then gradually decreases as my ears adapted. The sound quality and battery mad it totally worth the effort.

The noise canceling is absolutely best in class, completely bends my buds pro over a barrel. The battery life actually got me through a long work day (7+ hours). These are great if you work in a loud environment such as a warehouse like me. With that said, sony really shoul make some of the controlls default, a tap on either bud should pause, a double tap on either bud should skip forward, and a triple tap on either bud should go back to the previous song rather than the start. Holding down the left bud should make the volume go down and vice versa. Also, do be a bit careful with the foam tips, i used the smallest ones and one got stuck in my right ear and had to be extracted by my friend with a pair of tweezers, otherwise great anc earbuds, nobody gives the whole package quite like sony.

Best Noise Cancelling for me

These are my second pair of premium wireless earbuds, the Sennheiser TM2 my first, and these Sony's are much better overall. I don't like the foam tips they use because they wear pretty evenly, but i plan to by aftermarket silicone tips that provide the same snug and noise cancelling effects. YOU NEED TO PAY FOR the 360LIVEAUDIO!!

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. While we are glad you like the headphones, we're sorry to hear that it did not fit on your ears. The WF1000XM4 comes with different sizes of earbuds to ensure there is a great fit for all ear sizes and an optimal noise canceling experience. Change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ears. When changing the earbud tips, try the earbud tip sizes in order from the larger ones to the smaller ones. The size of the left and right earbud tips may be different. When wearing them, please gently pull on the top of your ear as you twist the earbud into your ear. This should give you a firmer hold and better noise canceling experience.

I needed a new pair for different locations. The XM3's are good, but these are a definite improvement. The case is smaller, but the total time with recharges is better. The foam ear tips can take a bit ti get used to, but once in offer better noise blocking. This makes the ANC work better. In the same environment the XM4's block more noise, so the nothing gets in before the ANC does it's job. The functions are the same, hook it up to the Sony app and you can customize the earbuds. What touching them does, setting up for you ears etc. They have worked great for phone calls, or video meetings. These also gain some splash protection, IPX4, from the elements over the XM3's. The sound is superb and adjustable to your liking through the app.

Not fitting in my ears but they sound amazing

I would have given 5 star but I could never get these to fit in my ears prperly and when I could get them fit then they were causing pain in my ears. While these might not be a perfect fit for all ears they sound superb. I had to return them.

Awesome Wireless earbuds!

The sound and active noise cancelling is something that Sony has down great. And they have a pretty good battery life and fast charging with the case. My only real complaint is they aren’t sweat or water resistant so I wouldn’t recommend using these to workout. Other than that they are a great headset

They offer amazing sound quality, the noise cancelling is really good, and the ambient sound is decent. They have a setting for higher quality sound but with less signal strength, and one for better strength at the expense of potentially losing a little quality, once I figured that out, it fixed all of my issues with the headphones. The gym proved to be a little too much traffic for the higher quality setting, but once I switched, it fixed everything and I don't even notice a difference in quality. The battery life is also pretty amazing! They also charge super fast and so does the case. Sony wasn't playing when they made these!

As for comfort, it depends. In order to get the most out of the foam tips you have too roll them and carefully let them expand and set in your ears, you can’t just put them in like that, after that you also can’t adjust them to much or they begin to itch and loosen. Also for the first few days I used them my ears hurt, not sure what changed but that pain soon went away. In my opinion, Well worth the price tag and extra effort in putting them in

Amazing Sound!

Seems like depending on how new your device is, the bluetooth connection quality varies. Left bud sometimes has no sound and need to reconnect which can be done by just closing and reopening an app. Comfort takes a while to get used to. Hopefully software updates fix bluetooth issues.

Best Noises Cancelling Buds

I had the previous version of Sony's flagship noises cancelling earphones and these provide a better seal and a better fit. The noise cancelation is phenomenal and the features are very beneficial. My favorite feature aside from the noise cancelation is the auto pause when someone is talking to you and you talk back. It'll automatically sense that and pause the audio for you. The battery on these headphones is also great and I can go a full day of work without getting a low battery notification. It helps that the case can charge the headphones if needed. The case is also a lot smaller than the previous version making these much more pocketable. Overall, I love these earbuds and always use them.
