The Most Disappointing Sony product in 20 years

Sound quality is the only good part.... when it works. For the $300 price tag the issues present with these ear buds shouldnt not even be a thought. After owning these for 3 months and using them everyday for 5-6 hours, i have had maybe 2 days where i didnt have issues. The right ear bud randomly disappears thru out the day everyday for no reason. Middle of a song gone, talking on the phone gone, just the right ear bud in or both doesnt matter. The adaptive noise canceling feature is atrocious, even after disabling the feature, it still does whatever it want whenever it wants and it cant tell the difference between the wind or myself talking. There is so much useless tech built into these ear buds the whole experiance sufferes. Dont waste your money...

We have recommendation on how to troubleshoot if there is no sound, or sound is only heard from one side of the headphones. Please check the article below:

In addition, please ensure the software installed is updated. You can verify the software by launching the headphones Connect apps. You may also reset or initialize the headphones.
Perform the reset on one earbud at a time. The device registration (pairing) information and other settings are retained during a reset.
Place an earbud into the charging case and then close the lid.
Use the supplied USB Type-C™ cable and a commercially available USB AC adapter to connect the charging case to a power outlet.
Open and close the lid of the charging case more than 5 times within 20 seconds until the red indicator light starts to flash.
Wait for the green indicator light flashes four times. Initialization is complete.
Remove the earbud from the charging case. Place the other earbud into the charging case, and then start the operation again from Step 1.

Best Earbuds for Long Lasting Portable Zen

Sony has upgraded the experience compared to the WF-1000XM3 buds. The case is much more pocketable, and wirelessly chargeable. The buds themselves fit better since they’re circular shaped and don’t awkwardly jut out of the ears. And battery life is almost twice as long as before at about 8 hours. As for sound, they’re better of course. This time around you get hybrid foam tips for isolation. And with LDAC as an option for higher bit rate, music sounds amazing for true wireless. And noise canceling, improved with firmware updates since launch, means complete peace in my busy office. I mean with these you can truly be low key alone in your own space.

Absolutely the best but one major flaw

You already know the sound is great and definitely nothing compares to these. But the one flaw: --- it will randomly connect to the phone while both earphones are in the case. The case isn't opened, the earphones are sitting properly etc...it randomly happens and the earphones are actually connected and play sound while in the case. Like I said I exchanged for a different pair but the problem popped up again. I looked it up online and others have had the same issue. Others have attempted contacting Sony but they have not acknowledged the issue and just send a replacement. If it wasn't for this problem these would be awesome. But unfortunately I cannot bear knowing that they may connect while in my pocket and I won't hear phone ringing etc because I can't hear the earbuds in the case

The problem is that there's some sort of cliche that after a while they stop holding a charge. I've had mine for a little less than 1.5 years and the batter drains after 30 minutes of use, even when 100% charged. I've read other reviews and it appears to be a common problem. Don't buy these without an extended warranty!

These headphones do both of those great! Drawbacks for me are bulky (for my ears). They do not fit well and I constantly have to readjust (even after swapping out different earbud sizes). They have fallen out a few times and got scratches on them from it.

The headphones would tell me they were 100 percent charged and die in the middle of a 3 mile walk. Otherwise these were great quality on anc. Different sizes of earbud tips are supplied so that you can achieve the maximum effects of the earbuds. Ear canals vary in size from person to person, and can also vary in size from the left to the right sides. To keep the headphones from falling out, please select the right size earbud tips. We also recommend wearing the earbuds properly.
Gently pull up on the top of your ears, put the earbud tips in your ear canal, and then twist the earbuds into place. This makes sure the earbuds are firmly in the ear canal.

Ears never hurt at the end of the day! They have great sound and the noise canceling is fantastic! I drive a work van and it makes a lot of noise these block most of that out! I would recommend these to anyone that is willing to spend the price tag

And the bass is very nice and booming. It fits snug in my ear and it feels very light in weight while in my ear. Aand the noise cancellation is very good and helps block out a lot of the surrounding noise. I was verry surprised the first time I was listening to some music with the transparency feature turned on, with some noise in the background, and then turning on the noise cancelling feature. Everything but my music all of a sudden went quiet. It was great. And my ears feel just fine even after having the headphones in my ear for some time. I am very happy with this purchase.

I’ve compared this to the Apple AirPods Pro, Jabra Elite 85T, Beats Studio Buds, and the Sennheiser Momentum. The Sony’s active noise cancellation is second to none. The sound quality is top notch only the Sennheiser compares. Sony’s app allows you to fully customize these. I suppose the only thing I am not a fan of is the adaptive control. I like having control of the ear buds and will turn ANC on/off when I want, not when I sit or walk etc. However it is a great feature to have. Finally found the perfect earbuds.

Great Features, Terrible Longevity

I’ve had these for just about two years now and while I can’t recall exactly when they started to degrade, they only last around 30 minutes (a far cry from the advertised 8 hours new with noise cancelling enabled, even after sitting plugged in for over a day, maybe 45 with active noise cancelling/ambient pass through off and lower than average volume) with the built in battery life reminder no longer stating a full charge. You’ll probably find other reviews stating a similar claim. Had I known that for this price that I’d only get two years of service life, I definitely would have gone with something much cheaper.
