Walking around a noisy, busy grocery store and I hear nothing...... Walk outside in the rain and nothing again, not even the cars driving past. The sound quality is amazing, bass is incredible and rivals my bose headphones with crisp highs. I was doubting these would be worth the money but so far I am very happy

Base is amazing and love the noise cancellation. Only con is that the connection in Bluetooth drops randomly once in a blue. Maybe due to an interference in the surrounding area.

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best noise cancelling, amazing comfort and sound (comparing to the other buds I tried which are airpods pro 2 and bose qc 2), but had to return because of sidetone. This feature (which can't be turned off) basically makes it so when on calls, the anc is almost conpletely turned off, and one of the main things I do is have calls in a noisy environment. Just make sure to not get these if you think sidetone will be an issue, to my knowledge, every other brand allows you to turn this off or doesnt even have it.

Great Sony audio quality and better smaller size…

I had the previous generation and loved the sound but didn’t like the size. This new generation is a perfect size now and very happy with foam tips (big fan of foam) Great phone quality off course. PS: Gave away my last Sony WF-1000XM3 to an hardcore Apple fan and I think he might jump ship….sound is what he was impressed with.

Good for music and studying....not for phone calls

However, i would not use them to make calls.... you can hear well, but the other person struggles to hear you or understand what you are saying

Noise cancelling not working

Unless you are lucky that the earplugs seal your ear perfectly, noise cancelling is non existent. Very expensive.

Posted .Hi AndreaM While we're glad that you like the sound, we're sorry if the noise canceling function did not meet your expectations. Please try the below steps is the effect of noise canceling is not sufficient.
Make sure that the noise canceling function is turned on.
If the size of the earbud tips does not match the size of your ear canals or the headset is not properly worn on your ears, tap operations or the speech detection of Speak-to-Chat may not be successful, or you may not obtain proper sound qualities, noise canceling effects, or call performances.
If any of this is the case, try the following.
Change the earbud tips to ones that fit more snugly in your ears. When changing the earbud tips, try the earbud tip sizes in order from the larger ones to the smaller ones. The size of the left and right earbud tips may be different.
The “Sony | Headphones Connect” app will help you to determine which earbud tips are most suitable for you to achieve the optimal noise cancellation effect.
Check if the headset is properly worn on your ears. Wear the headset so that the earbud tip is comfortably situated as deep in the ear canal as possible.
The noise canceling function is effective in low frequency ranges such as airplanes, trains, offices, near air-conditioning, and is not as effective for higher frequencies, such as human voices.
When the Adaptive Sound Control on the “Sony | Headphones Connect” app is turned on, the wearer's actions, like walking or running, are detected. The noise canceling function is automatically adjusted and the Ambient Sound Mode may be activated according to these actions.
To make the most of the noise canceling function, turn off the Adaptive Sound Control, and try to turn on the noise canceling function manually when you need it.
